Located in a strip mall on 82nd Ave in Montavilla, the restaurant doesn't have a lot of curb appeal, and the interior is just as bleak. Please don't overlook this amazing restaurant like I did, it's well woth a visit! Come here for the superb roast duck and pork, you'll thank me later! Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, this is some of the most delicious Chinese food I've ever ordered. Guests can order their meat with rice and veggies, or with noodle soup - both taste great! The interior is sparse with only several tables in the dining room, but I get the sense this restuarant prepares a lot of takeout. There were quite a few food delivery folks who picked up their orders while I was eating my dinner. The staff are friendly, but you honestly won't see them much. The kitchen is tucked away in the back behind a small ordering window, and the staff seem pretty occupied preparing to-go orders. It was fine with me... I had my delicious roast duck and I was good to go!

Service was sweet and the owner came and checked on me if the food/drink were to my liking and asked if I wanted to try their Vietnamese coffees too since I ordered a matcha drink. I haven't tried the drinks here in a long time and I thought it was decent. With the addition of new Vietnamese cafes and bubble tea shops around the area, there are many other places I would rather go for ordering a drink but Toast La Tea's food menu is a game changer. The Bò Né, the classic Vietnamese breakfast of steak and eggs, came out sizzling hot and the baguette was toasted nicely. The pieces of filet mignon were juicy and tender but there was still quite a bit of connective tissue on the meat which caused it to have more of a chew than I would have liked for this cut of beef. The flavor was impeccable when paired with the fresh baguette but could be a bit on the salty side if you end up out of bread.

It also came with two quail eggs, which was a pleasant surprise. Cost was $14.99, and you can also order it without the soup for a dry noodle dish. Service was friendly and chatty! Viet-owned business that is well loved and patronized by the community. Very clean and highly decorative space with fluctuating volume levels from the ongoing pedestrian traffic.
