Friendly staff and cafe aesthetics and cozy environment. The only bad thing is the parking. It's meant for locals that can walk by and do a quick stop or just once in a while drink place for coffee or a light snack.

My sister drove me to this spot while I was visiting Portland and was talking to her about salted egg coffee. The owner takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. I enjoyed the extra touches that he puts on the drinks. I highly recommend the salted egg coffee! The coffee is strong, not watered down like some of the popular spots in SoCal, the flavoring is unique.

I visited Toast La Tea for the first time recently. The parking lot was small but I was able find a spaces. The interior of the shop was small but it was nicely set up. The service was great. I got the rose milk tea with pudding and it was delicious. I loved the Oregon cup design as well. I'll definitely coming back here and I highly recommend that you give them a try.

Great stop for a mid day tea break. Fast service and great selection of elaborate and classic tea combos. The original milk tea is my go to but they also have great whisked matcha drinks!

I've been here a couple times and tried a variety of drinks, and they are all really nice. The teas are brewed well and the smoothies have good flavor. The boba isn't a perfect texture but has good flavor. The popcorn chicken was perfect--crispy and well-seasoned. The service here is what's really outstanding to me. They are so friendly and charming. The whole place feels so welcoming and like a solid local spot. I definitely plan on being a regular.

Love this place! Super cute ambiance. We had the salted caramel Vietnamese iced coffee which was super delicious and also tried the house jasmine milk tea with boba (75% sweet) and the earl grey lavender fresh milk tea with boba (25% sweet), both were sooooo delicious, will definitely come back to try their other coffees and milk teas!!

Yummy Vietnamese coffee with various flavors and toppings. I recommend their traditional and Muoi cafe. The background is Vietnamese music and sometimes Viet shows. Not an ideal spot to study but good to yap with friends and family. The service is always good and quick, took them less than 5 minutes to deliver my drink.

Absolutely love this place come here to study with my friend all the time! Wonderful customer service and drinks

Caphe Matcha Tiramisu / Matcha Tiramisu Coffee 16oz cup

overall: 4/5 drink: 4.5/5 service: 3/5 ambiance: 3.75/5 it's been YEARS since i have been here at Toast La Tea, and the interior of the cafe and the menu have changed a lot since i last came! i was overjoyed to see that they now sell many different flavors of caphe. i ordered the matcha tiramisu vietnamese coffee and it was delectable. wonderfully strong, and bitter, but also not too sweet but sweet enough that when the ice melts the drink becomes perfect! i also had a sip of my friends' egg coffee and it was also really strong. however, i do prefer the matcha tiramisu instead and would recommend this one! i would pass on the rose milk tea, as it did not taste the same as i remembered years prior.

CaPhe Trung / Egg Yolk Cream Coffee 16oz cup
    Justin T.

I've come here several times for their Vietnamese coffee, and they've been great everytime. This time, I got the Caphe Trung, which is their iced coffee with egg yolk cream. If you've never tried it before, it might sound strange, but the combo works well and is quite tasty. I thought the prices were fair for the size of the drink, after all Vietnamese coffee should be sipped on. Overall, I think the coffee here is very good and I was happy with my drink each time.

    Zoran M.

I highly recommend great customer service I by accident ordered the wrong drink. They ended up making the right drink and not even charge me for the Secand one The make the best Boba tea in town that I know of how I found out is my kids like to come here and then I started drinking that too and it's absolutely good

    Popcorn chicken
    Jenny N.

Was craving some milk tea while in the area and needed a snack before dinner later. Service - friendly and attentive. Parking - small parking lot but street parking outside of the lot! Mango milk tea with lychee jelly- it was very pretty! I really liked my drink and it hit the spot! Popcorn chicken- note this does take a little longer to cook ~5-10 min. I thought it was great, fun sauce too. Overall- I would come back again! They even had fun beers on the side I would come back to try!

Cute little spot in outer SE. I got a mango peach smoothie and will definitely be back. Service was good. The smoothie was perfect for a little mental health walk treat.

Lots of choices, hubby got his favorite, tonkotsu, I chose a "mild" spicy mala style. Some may have considered it spicy. There are several rather intimidating sounding spicy ramens, looking forward to trying something more adventurous next time. Both were delicious, lots of toppings, perfect egg, and noodles with just the right bite. The service was very nice, the restaurant is simple, and quite lovely, sorta Pac NW/Japanese decor and style. They also have a good selection of sakes and make their own rather interesting pickles in house.

Parking along the busy street or nearby off streets between the housing. Let's start with what was great: The staff was very friendly, attentive and quickly sat us down with booster and high chair. Drinks (IPA and a Calpico) came out very quick as well as the Tabor tofu (3). The food was good. We had the Tabor tofu (kids enjoyed) and x2 Kaiyo Tsukemen. The dipping ramen came out with a nice jammy soft boiled egg and the noodles had a pretty good chew. The sauce was a bit thin but had that good seafood umami flavor. Pork belly was well portioned and had a light char. Overall, decent place to eat. Had to dock stars because out of the 4 items we were hoping to get for dinner, they did not have 3 available (fried Ota Tofu, Blistered Shishitos and Umami Mazemen). Maybe they were super busy early on but we were there around 6:45p so surprised menu items were not available. The staff was quick to apologize and worked quickly to get a 2nd Kaiyo Tsukemen out for us when the Umami Mazemen was not available. Wish we could've tried those dishes as I think it would've been a better complete meal. Kids still enjoyed it and our plates were empty so food was still good. Good amount of seating inside, utensils and water are self serve and looks like it could be a fun spot during summer months if they are able to roll up the garage doors!

I went with two friends to enjoy the chef's menu, and while I enjoyed the experience, looking back there were a few too many missed details to have me scampering back. 1. I'm all about Portland restaurants optimizing seating and serving space and have zero quibbles about eating outside in a tent. While the lap blankets are a nice touch, I didn't feel any external heat source being utilized. Looking around, most diners had their jackets on. When I'm settling in for a nicer meal, I don't want to wear outerwear. 2. Service was succinct. Not warm, not helpful, but timely. It seems to me that when you're offering cuisine that people may be unfamiliar with, pausing for a moment to explain what we're eating would be helpful. We had to ask for a menu back to figure out what we were eating. 3. Dishes were meant to be shared. That's fun! But the appropriate plates and serving utensils weren't provided to make that easy. Cutting something on a tiny plate with sauce is just a messy proposition. 4. Bar program is abysmal. Wine options were non-existent, with very limited beer and cocktail choices. 5. Servings. Not serving SIZE, mind you, but how food was served that's meant to be shared. For example, one of the first courses was a lamb skewer served with a tiny fried bun (think savory beignet). We received two of these for our table of three. And this same sort of food math happened with every course. At an establishment where everyone at the table must participate, we should be able to each have our own tiny buns, dang it. And when the bill is over $100 per person, it's not too much to ask. How do you split four pieces of spring roll amongst three people? I am not joking when I say we had a mathematician at the table, and we were still flummoxed. It seems that every "family style" meal served in Portland does this, and it's annoying every time. 6. Dessert! There was one dessert option only - a cloyingly sweet rice cereal treat made with Fruity Pebbles (or some such thing) that only a child could possibly have enjoyed. No leaning into Asian cultures, no fruit. It was pretty nasty.
