I am new to WA. Tried this place for first time. Got tikki chaat, dahi bhalla chat. It was ok, could have been better. Yogurt in dahi bhalla was too sweet, and flavor was meh for both the items. Chhole and tikki was OK but I have had better. Plz use more fresh and raw -onions, grated ginger, hint of fresh green chilli, fresh coriander, pinch of chat masala on top, sprinkle some pomegranate seeds, and voila Service- would appreciate if called the order number or display, we kept wondering for 15 mins before they got our plates. If you are a jalebi fan, well they serve the decent one. Though I am no jalebi critic, and the jalebis aren't served hot but they taste crisp, juicy and yum. We initially order 8, and after trying them we ordered another pack of 16. It is hard to get good Amritsari kulcha in USA and the one they serve needs to be enjoyed with their homely curries. We visited them after a hike, so we were pretty hungry. All the food we ordered was good especially the papdi chaat. People who are regulars at their Bellevue location might find the prices up by a dollar or two at this place. Well that explains less crowd during the rush hour. If that is ok, the food is pretty much the same. They do have a couple of tables for outdoor sitting near the parking lot. I love this place for their lunch thalis. Not sure how many times I have been to this place for lunch. Thali comes with chapati, rice, daal, paneer curry, salad and a dessert. Portion - more than enough for a person for sure. They are almost consistent with their taste and options. They have dosa, parathas and chaats as well. Tried a few dosas and chaats already. Chaats were really good and dosas were decent. Tried the veggie burger once - that wasn't really great. They take phone orders, even if that's a thali order. They pack everything well, so no spills. Done that a few times and quite about that. Service is always good. That place can be really crowded for lunch and dinner. Have come here many a times after watching movies at Lynwood AMC. The restaurant is in a complex with other good eats and offices. Ample of parking space that fill up quickly on the weekends. The aloo Kulcha was awesome, one of the slices was undercooked dough. Paneer Parantha:- When we first ordered this item it was a big serving now the price is same but the quantity reduced. Tastes good with achaar and butter Paneer Chili:- Just order this. Its almost like the ones you get in India. Just Yum. Veg Manchurian:- One of the best Manchurians we have ever had. Samosa Chaat:- It was good. Raj Kachori:- Skip it. Dahi Poori:- It was ok ok. You can skip it. Not that good of a taste. Samosa Pav:- Do not order this item. The samosa is good but the pav is a sweet bun that you get in American grocery stores. The taste together just not good. Paneer dosa:- It came with sambhar, coconut chutney. Chole Bhatura:- This ones a hit or a miss. The bhatura on the top was fluffy, rest below doughy like a bread. Tasted good. Bread vada:- Not the exact name. But not that good. Kalakand:- Tasted awful Gulab Jamum:- $2/piece damn. But Yum, could have at least warmed the piece. Overall, near authentic Indian food. Stay away from the chaat section. We'll probably be back as this place is conveniently located for us, the prices are decent, the flavors are strong, and the menu is diverse. Dining area could be cleaner, food could be hotter, presentation could be better, service maybe hit or miss, but hey flavor is my most important criteria and the food tastes pretty good so whatever. The Annapurna Thali won't be consistent because they switch up what they include daily so it's difficult to recommend this item because while it was good for me it won't necessarily have the same composition for others. For me, they brought the flavor and used a very heavy hand with spices and chilis so, not for the faint of heart maybe but I enjoyed it. The food was a little lukewarm and I would've preferred it hotter but it still tasted good. We had a samosa as well which was spicy and hit the spot! Not India standard like tasty but hey pretty good. My friends and I had two plates. This is after we finished one plate, we went and re-ordered it. Yum! Pau bhaji was buttery goodness. I wish the Pau were bigger but the bhaji was mildly spiced. Not bad at all. Chana bhatura.. you get three bhaturas, chanas, red onions and pickles. Good portion size and so filling. Again bad to compare with the Dilli style chanas bhaturas.. It's pretty decent here. I'd eat again. Chaat papdi. Good portion size, lacks the zing though. Average compared to other dishes. Jalebi... Man oh man.. these are so so so so so so good. There's a reason why almost every table had it. I have not had better Jalebi in Seattle before. Definitely eat this. Used to love coming here. I've been frying food from here for years. However, during my last visit, for the first time, I felt like an Other. The person taking my order got it wrong. I've never had to check my food before leaving before. Before I left, it felt the order was light. I turned back and asked if it was complete. The guy at the the counter assured me that it was. This is one of the go to restaurant where I have ordered almost many of the options on the menu. I love the aloo paratha it's huge with great taste and it's quite filling . If you want spicy you have to ask them to add extra chili's. They serve parathas with a mouth watering pickle and to my surprise they charge for pickle if you want extra :( , same thing they charge extra for chutney or sambhar which is not usual. So I am reducing the stars here . They have some good lunch and dinner options where you can choose vegetables and mix and match . Their Kadi pakado is delicious. I was soooooo excited to try this Indian vegetarian place! Until I showed up and learned the only vegan thing they could make me was a paratha (Indian flatbread) stuffed with cauliflower and potato (no yogurt). I was seriously shocked that a 100% vegetarian place would have only ONE vegan option. I realise most Hindu and Sikh vegetarians still consume dairy, but I can't believe literally every thali option had dairy in it. I really loved the paratha and it gave me the impression that the food here is good, but given how many vegetarians are vegans these days, and how super-easy it is to cook things like channa masala and aloo gobhi WITHOUT dairy, I'm just so disappointed this place only has one vegan option. Their clientele seems to be predominantly people with an Indian background working in the local tech-heavy area. It's a sterile, fast-foodish kind of place. Lots of seating but only maybe 30% filled at lunchtime. Service was nice and polite. If they had vegan options, I'd seriously go like 2-3x a week. Every time, we've gotten the paneer biriyani (65) and samosas (which were well received by our picky out of town vegetarian visitors). I got the mooli (radish) parantha which I was a fan of but I couldn't find it. I would have had more luck digging for radish in the ground than in this parantha. This place has gone down hill, their paranthas used to be tasty and generously stuffed. What I had tonight was dry and plain. Not to mention when I ordered there was only 1 couple in the joint yet I had to wait 30 MIN!! to get my order. The wait was ridiculous and I had a few people come after me and get their order. Now about the dosas , it was not as enormous as you would see at many Indian restaurants and the stuffing was plain potatoes with not much flavor. And if you have ever had a sambar in your life, you would know that what they serve here is not that. It was watered down so much, you could literally buy a sambar powder spice from a Indian grocery story and mix water with it and you would get Chaat house sambar. The only thing good with this dish was the tomato chutney. I am very dissapointed that this place which was famous for its paranthas and snack has made a U turn. I don't know how some of these folks are giving this place 4-5 star. The only reason I give it 2 star instead of 1 is coz the food was edible. The last couple of times we ordered food from Chaat house, it was extremely low quality and confirmed that Chaat house shouldn't be the place we buy from again! we really loved Chaat house before and I went there to get my comfort foods when I missed home... the last time we ordered the sambar and chutney tasted very stale. The idli didn't even have any salt in it and also tasted stale. I ended up getting an upset tummy the next day. But I thought it's probably something else, and sometimes a restaurant's food can be not that great! Yesterday, however, we ordered off of Uber eats, and 7pm, and the order did not even arrive until 9pm. To make matters worse, everything ordered had so much of masala that it messed up the taste utterly!! We love spicy food, but I never knew there was any such thing as overdoing the garam masalas! The aloo (potato) curry I ordered didn't come, and the chole ( chickpeas) they sent were so over spiced that they tasted pathetic! The aloo kulcha tasted absolutely bland!! On top of all that, both my husband and I yet again got our tummies upset... I don't know what's happened to this restaurant?!
