Remember the days when you could get decent teriyaki in Seattle from those little strip mall places for less than $20 per person? Remember how you thought those days were gone? Well I'm happy to tell you that Buddah Bruddah is hanging on to those days. This place is affordable and delicious. We went kayaking on the lake and were headed back home from the boat launch- it was sunny and we were tired and hungry. I've been here before but only for take out so this time we ordered and stayed. I got the pork and my son got beef. Both dishes came with rice, awesome hawaiian style macaroni salad and cole slaw. They have a large variety of sauces that you can't skip. Try them all. Just so good. Seriously. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it is relaxed and pleasant. As we were leaving I grabbed a menu...my son was reviewing it in the car, deciding what he'd get next time...and got excited that they had pineapple fried rice. We'll be back for sure.

My favorite Hawaiian/Fusion spot around Seattle/Eastside! First discovered them with their food truck at one of the Marymoor Park concerts. I've had most of the mix plate proteins and have always loved them every time. Probably what I love most is the amount of food you get--the portions are always great, can stretch it out to 2 meals. Whenever I'm in Kenmore, I stop by this place. Plenty of seats at their restaurant and it's clean and staff is friendly. Recently tried the coconut cream pie and it was OK. The thing you come here for is the main entrées. Will probably try one of their other noodle dishes at some point.

This place smacks!!!! Very clean dinning area! The food was freaking amazing and the service was top notch by the two young braddahs

    Huli chicken

We used to really like getting takeout but the last 2-3 times have really not been great. We typically get the chicken katsu, Huli chicken, and Hawaiian beef to share for our family of 4 and generally have leftovers. All of the meats have tasted overcooked. There's barely any sauce on the huli chicken and the beef was chewy and dry today. The breading to the chicken katsu is falling off (and the chicken tastes way over done - I don't know if it's day old or if it's previously frozen but definitely doesn't take like freshly battered and fried). It's a bummer because it used to be great to have a unique takeout option but I really don't think we'll drive out anymore. We're not super far but it isn't right around the corner either, so plenty of other options we'd prefer at this point.

Kalua Pork and Pineapple Fried Rice, Banana Cream Pie, Combo Huli & Kalua Pork

We were able to walk in and easily order our food and ask for a dessert suggestion. We really enjoyed our combo Huli huli chicken and kalua pork combo and well as the pineapple fried rice. They were both fantastic dishes. I appreciate nothing was too salty and the flavors came through, from the fried egg to the pork and grilled chicken and fresh pineapple. The banana cream pie first tasted just like vanilla box pudding but had much better flavor once I had a second bite that included the fresh banana slices. Everything came in ready-to-go containers, which was kind of precarious to share across the table but convenient for the portion sizes and expected leftovers. We were there around noon and it was maybe half full of customers. We will definitely return for some repeat plates and probably try some new ones.

I'm sorry but only the rice was good! I explained to the server that I ordered huli huli chicken. It was smothered in something that tasted and resembled bbq sauce. I was told it was teriyaki sauce yet no taste of soy was there. The coleslaw tasted like kimchi and the Mac salad had too much pepper and vinegar. Not enough salt. This is Not authentic Hawaiian food! Chicken katsu was good. Overpriced and slow service. Haupia pie was not sweet. No points for effort!

    Phad see ew

Phad see ew at this place is very very bad. The noodles are all broken and mush. Never had such a bad rice noodle dish, the chicken was also in chunks with little flavor and felt woody. I gave this a 1 score, and will not order this from this place again. I tried to eat it, but very hard to swallow, ended up having to throw it away. On the other hand, upon my request, they refunded me the dish and allowed me to replace that dish with another one, I ordered Hawaiian Beef, that was ok. For all these reasons I gave it a 3, will not likely to go back again or recommend it.

Wow this place is great, we have drove by at least a hundred times. We didn't even know what kind of food they had. (Hawaiian/thai) Walking in without a clue, we tell the employees we never been here what do you have and she was super nice explaining what type of food then made and suggested the most popular choices. So good! So flavorful! I was very impressed with the spicy. It was just perfect! Air conditioned. Prices were good compared to serving size. Right around 15 bucks per person without a drink. They do Have some beer options. Do stop here and give it a try!

Great food here. I believe Buddha Bruddah began as a food truck and now it has several brick and mortar locations in the Puget Sound area. I love their food and the fact they are local started small and seem to be more and more successful each day. We had a couple of orders of the Drunken Noodles, one with Tofu and another with Shrimp. The first one was made Vegan for my daughter. Our friend and I each had the Huli Chicken & Kalua Pork combo. The Huli Chicken and Kalua Pork were super tender and flavorful. The combos were served with Steamed Jasmine Rice and Green salad and the infamous Macaroni Salad. I could eat a whole meal of the mac salad but probably shouldn't for the sake of my belly! Great food, friendly service, what more can you want? Give Buddha Bruddah a try and your taste buds will thank you.

I didn't have time to eat so I had decided to grab take out to eat in my car. I got the huli huli chicken and kalua pork combo plate. pork was flavorful and tender and the chicken had that smoke from the grill. That sauce was so gooood. The mac salad was refreshing as well as the cole slaw. Such huge portions that I gave my husband the leftovers and he was able to eat as a meal. Their in-house nuoc cham was sooo good. That rich fish sauce taste you don't find easily. I definitely recommend!

I want to mention that the workers were all very kind and I had no problems with service. Even though we ordered at the counter, they checked in at our table multiple times. Unfortunately, the food fell flat. The Mochiko chicken was flavorless and served with a sweet chili sauce that tasted just like the kind I have from the grocery store. I thought Mochiko chicken was supposed to be flavorful on its own, even without a sauce. Also the portion was kinda small for the price. The Kahlua pork bowl had pork, but also what tasted like loco Moco gravy... which was a good gravy, but not what we really wanted on top of Kahlua pork. When we saw that it came with "gravy" for the bowl description on the menu, I was thinking it would taste something more like the pork itself. Also, it was heavy on the rice. Lastly, the guava cake had a nice soft airy texture... but not enough guava flavor. It is huge, but mostly air. We didn't order it to-go, but it came in a to-go container rather than on a plate. I felt it was overpriced at almost $10 per slice. Overall, my experience was just alright. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't need to return.

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing!
