Cutlery is stored upside down in wooden boxes on each table, but many tables are missing complete sets. After landing in Seattle for the first time during a day of travel, this place hit the spot! The restaurant has a few parking spots out front with some outdoor tables. We (my husband and I) were greeted and helped with navigating the menu, as well as how to order on their touch-screen kiosk. We ordered the 7 chicken tenders, and got half mild and the other half hot. We also got a side of the Port Rice. When we were there, the whole place was empty, but still, the table we chose was dirty, so we wiped it down ourselves. The greeting staff lady was very kind and helpful, but the other staff who brought us our food weren't as open to being friendly. The chicken came out hot (in temperature) as well as the rice. It didn't take long to get our food since we were the only ones there. The mild chicken flavor was my favorite. It had a good, unique flavor. The hot flavor was too vinegary for me, but my husband liked it as he sweated through the spice. We enjoyed the rice paired with the chicken. We didn't realize it until after, but they actually gave us 8 chicken tenders, so that was kind; they were large, too. We should have gotten a second side so that we had more of a meal, maybe something crunchy, but by golly, the prices in WA are insane for food, so we chose not to. They provided us with two dipping sauces in glass bottles, both labeled 'garlic sauce,' but 'garlic' was spelled incorrectly (maybe the art was made with AI? The Bothell location has plenty of seating, but just a heads-up: their Kirkland location only has outdoor seating and it's pretty limited, so that one feels more like a takeout spot. Even then, it makes your eyes water and I drank a lot of soda. It was so good though that I couldn't stop eating it. My friend had the Chicken sandwich which he devoured in 2 or 3 bites :) He loved it and refrained from getting another. The chips, the falafel, the mayo corn and rice were all excellent sides. In long I have to think the spelling is a little language variant, and these peppery flavors are coming from what I've always heard of as piri-piri (north African chile pepper). It's such a treat to eat and so fun to find someplace that uses a lot of it on almost anything you want to have it on. Everything showed up hot even in some fairly crummy traffic that turned into a long trip for our driver. Only 6 miles away but took a bit--and everything was still delicious. 1/4 chicken Nothing else tastes like this chicken. Savory, sweet, warm, all kinds of layers of complex and perfectly harmonious flavors. As with many things on their menu, you can order it at any of about 8 spice levels. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was able to order right away using the self-serve kiosk. Staff were attentive and helpful when we had a couple questions about the menu. There were only a couple of other tables at the time so our food came out quickly. We ordered a plate with a thigh and drumstick, the peri peri chicken sandwich, peri fries and grilled corn. The peri fries were the star dish; they were perfectly fried with a crisp outside and soft exterior and the seasoning was perfect. A little disappointing that they charge you $1 for a very small container of peri mayo that is barely filled halfway; no other sauce comes with the fries. The main dishes we ordered tasted fresh and the serving sizes were large, but I found the chicken breast in the burger was way thicker than what's advertised in their pictures and therefore didn't have a ton of sauce/seasoning. The chicken plate was a lot more flavourful as we asked for the chicken to be extra saucy, and the seasoned rice paired great with their house garlic and chilli sauces. We're used to having Nandos often and I definitely found myself (naturally) comparing these menu items to their counterparts. I have driven past this place many times and finally we wanted a new place to try. The atmosphere is very casual with cozy fireplace seating and multiple tables. Orders are taken at the counter or at a kiosk, if you would like to see a visual image of your order. Grab a number and find a table and wait for the goodness to arrive. We selected the Celebration Platter which has a great selection and quality for 4-6 adults. We selected the lemon-herb marinate chicken. The platter comes with a whole chicken and wings, rice, grilled corn on the cob, salad, falafel, and lots of pita and hummus. There is a small refrigerator near the soda machine that has the secret sauces that you need to put on, just about everything. One is a garlic sauce and the other is a chile sauce.
