This is a nice little Chaat place that also serves Frankie's and biryani. The concept is to build your own bowl/roll and the chaats come in plates. They use compostable serving ware. The chaats themselves are very authentic. We got Bhel Puri and Dahi Chaat and both were nailed to goodness! Got the Biryani with tandoori paneer and a side of vegetables. I'd say the biryani lacked luster. The rice was broken, overcooked. However the paneer was well seasoned and the biryani did have flavor. If they took the time to preserve the integrity of the rice grain, they'd have it all! They don't serve water so bring your own unless you wish to buy bottled water. The lychee ice drink was carbonated and I'll likely skip it if I had to dine here again. It's nice to have a Chaat spot closer to wineries.

Food is delicious every time I go. Love the pani puri, samosa chaat, butter chicken bowl and the maggi.

After bringing our food, she disappeared completely and never once checked on us. We ran out of water and spent about 15 minutes trying to find someone. When we finally got another server's attention, we asked for more water and a few additional side dishes since the portions were so small. He only brought one small dish and never returned. Throughout our meal, not a single staff member asked how everything was or if we needed anything. When we left, the person at the front didn't even acknowledge us or say goodbye. What was even more noticeable was that the other tables around us weren't receiving much attention either, so it didn't appear to be an isolated incident. We work in the service industry ourselves and are usually very generous tippers because we understand how demanding the job can be. Great service goes a long way, but unfortunately this restaurant completely missed the mark. There are plenty of excellent Korean restaurants with friendlier service, more reasonable prices, and much more generous side dishes. Sadly, this won't be a place we'll return to.

It's About Time is Lebanese food with specialties from Beirut. It's a store front restaurant with…read morea pretty spartan interior. Most of their business is take out although there is room for maybe four people to sit at two counters. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. I asked him to make me a vegetarian plate of mixed salads and falafel while I moved my car. (The lot behind the restaurant doesn't belong to them and you'll get towed!) The pita, humus, babaganoush, papas bravos, and pickled turnips were very good. The standouts: 1. the lightest, airiest falafel I've ever had. If I knew felafel could be this good, I'd order it more often. 2. Rice with cardamum pods. Why have I never had cardmum in rice before? I've eaten at literally dozens of Middle Eastern restaurants, and this was a first. It was a new taste and absolutely raised the bar on the rice. Finally It's about Thyme was a bargain. I think I paid C$15 for an overflowing plate of food plus a bottle of water. The portion was so generous that I took it home and ate the leftovers for lunch the following day. And here's a lagniappe: the restaurant is across the street from the Salem Chapel British Methodist Episcopal Church where Harriet Tubman was a member. St. Catherarines, Ontario was one of the end points for the Underground Railroad.

This is a hidden gem. Super fresh food and bread. Lots of meat dishes but also very vegetarian and…read morevegan friendly.

I finally made it recently while I was in Hamilton for the day (though it was still a 30 minute drive). Instally fell in love with the decor and ambiance. It's nice and cozy. There's lots of space between the tables so you don't feel too crammed or too close to others. I loveeee the huge screen and I also love the fact that they kinda separated the shisha on the other area from where we sat so it's not in our faces. The sofa was very comfy but let's skip to the most important: the food! There's a good variety of items to choose from on the menu and I wasn't sure what to get since everything sounded amazing. We opted for the royal qabli palaw which was delicious, though I would've preferred the the regular qabli with lamb (the difference is that it's not baked in a fresh afghan bread) since I found the bread to get soggy at the bottom. Our favourite menu items that we ordered was the chicken karahi (would definitely order that next time) and the tandoori fish. We all loved these 2 mains the most. We also got the Chapli kebab that was also pretty good. The food would be a 9/10 for us, as we found the portions to be slightly small compared to other places we've dined at (referring to the price point). Regardless, we'd still come back for more and perhaps to try other dishes on the menu. There was some other issues we encountered which has now been mentioned to the restaurant, which included that we felt it was understaffed (confirmed it was due to sick calls that day) and the wait times for the food that took over 45 minutes (which is due to the first point mentioned). Customer service needs some work to deliver a better dining experience.

We peeked inside. It was busy and with quite a few Persians. We decided to try it. I am so glad that we tried it. Everything that we ordered was outstanding. We got the Rayhoon trio sampler, Addas Palo, and lamb shank. The trio sampler was basically 3 different dippings and came with a basket of bread. The owner was very nice. While we were enjoying the food, he walked up and greeted. He explained how we could use the trio sampler to enjoy the entrees which really made it even better. Following the suggestion, I put a little bit of lamb sauce over the rice and put a little bit of yogurt sauce over a small piece of lamb, then ate them all in one spoon.... It was amazing!
