Chabely's is great. The food was awesome. The service was awesome. The price was reasonable. The restaurant appeared very clean. The food was delicious. I had the daily special Bowl which was filled with chicken and steak on a bed of Mexican rice. It was so good. It came with diced tomatos, lettuce, sour cream, and tortillas. We had daddy daughter date night and my daughter really enjoyed her meal too. The margaritas here are pretty strong and they have 4 different sizes. Two 16oz about did me in. Haha!

Very small place, but packed with good food and excellent service! I had Chabely's tacos and they were FULL of steak. They also had bacon but I asked for it on the side but didn't eat any since I count my calories. My husband had nachos and he enjoyed as well. We are not from here, just passing thru but if ever back I would come again. I saw someone gave a bad review for a fish dish, I think I would stick to fajitas and the likes in a Mexican restaurant you are not familiar with.

Great food! We eat here a good bit. Friendly staff and no wait time. Everything I've eaten is really good.

Wow! A spot-on real deal Mexican restaurant in the outskirts of Tuscaloosa! Who would have thunk…read moreit? OK, we're big-time Tex-Mex food fans, but we find it quite difficult to find high-quality Tex-Mex or even Mexican restaurants in the US south outside of Texas. This place is a game changer. When we stopped here, we were prepared to be disappointed in issuing two or three star rating at the most. Every single item we ordered was tasty and delectable. Our entrées were Carne Asada; and, Shrimp of the Devil (Camerones el Diablo). Both were fresh, tasty, and delicious. The shrimp were prepared in a special hot sauce, which was in an of itself, delectable (but only if you have a big glass of water to drink). My wife liked it so much she just wanted to taste the sauce! We weren't going to have dessert, but after watching several dessert pass by via the waitress to other tables, we decided order Flan and a mixture of a sopsvilla with fried ice cream. Ugh! Spectacular! If you're in the Tuscaloosa area, go and enjoy. It's worth it. Prices are reasonable. There's a happy hour for drinks. We had two margaritas each: very very good. This restaurant is located directly across the street from brand new Holiday Inn in Tuscaloosa at Cottondale, AL 35453.

Attached to a gas station with a door between the two; and restrooms in the gas station side only. The food was not to my taste, service was slow (and there were only four tables with customers at the time, including ours), and the wrestling decor was just a turnoff for me. I must be more of a Tex-Mex person. But if what I'm describing is your thing, then you may enjoy it. I will say that the other couple dining with my husband and me did really enjoy their food. But hubby and I won't be returning.

So this has been on my list and I finally came here on a Thursday evening with my son. It's at the end of a shopping center where a Walmart is. We got there about 5:30 PM. It was not busy at all. We were promptly greeted by a hostess that sat us in a booth. We started off with the chips and salsa, but on the menu it does say after two baskets they will charge you for the chips and salsa. We only had one. The chip could've been a little thinner. It's rude to find a raspberry margarita so I wanted to get one unfortunately they didn't have any frozen ones. They were just on the rocks. I was pretty shocked when I looked at the receipt and saw that it was $17 for a Margarita and it definitely wasn't worth that much. It had kind of a weird taste to it. We did get the cheese dip and it was very delicious. I decided to try the Mexican lasagna, which was so delicious. I got it with the beef and it was layers of ground beef, pico beans, and possibly some rice too. It was a good portion and I ended up bringing the other half home. My son ended up getting nachos with shrimp, chicken and steak and he really enjoyed it and finished his whole plate. I will definitely be back sooner than later because I love some good Mexican food, but I will probably end up getting just a soda next time. Fernando was our waiter and he was very attentive. I will say the restaurant in the bathrooms were clean. There's only one bathroom each for men and women. I would think it a restaurant this big they would have more stalls.
