The food was mediocre for the price range. The vibes were fun though and it was pretty crowded on a weekend morning. Chace's Pancake Corral has an old-fashioned diner vibe which was very homey. The staff were friendly and there is a variety of food on the menu.

Established in 1958, Chace's Pancake Corral is the oldest restaurant in Bellevue, WA, serving up the original menu breakfast offerings. The current owner is the daughter of the eponymous founder. My wife and I (along with my daughter/son-in-law's dog) made it a destination for our Saturday morning walk, and it ended up being a good place for a patio breakfast. We let the host know that we needed an outdoor table for two with a dog, and we were set-up within 5 minutes. The outside dining area is a bit make-shift, right next to the parking lot (quite a few cars passed by our table close enough to take a drive-thru order, it seemed like). But it's really nice that they have that seating for parties with dogs, and there are sun umbrellas ready to go, in the rare event when it is needed. Our hostess brought out a freshly baked dog biscuit during our meal, letting us decide when to give it. Coffee ($3.50) was brought out immediately, and my wife said it was good mainly because it was fresh. It's a simple, two page menu and there were a lot of breakfast items I wanted to try (which isn't always the case). I ended up really enjoying the food, especially since Chace's offers some sampler platters. Greatest Hits ($16) - a small hash brown omelet (hbo), 2 link sausage (wife subbed it for thick cut bacon), and any one pancake (she chose buttermilk). All of it was solid, with the hbo coming with a bit of salsa (pretty sure it was Pace brand....not sure why more restaurants don't use this brand...I love it with my omelets). I got to sample the hbo, and it was really good...egg binding good hash browns, topped with melted american cheese. Joe Adams Assortment ($14.90) - four small sizes of their favorite pancakes: buttermilk, buckwheat, potato, and strawberry (more of a crepe). I loved the potato pancakes, with the buckwheat confirming that it's not my favorite. Service was very friendly, but a bit hit-or-miss (thinking because we were out in the patio). The check is brought out to you (hand written in that old diner style), and you can pay inside. We ended up really enjoying the food, especially since Chace's offers some sampler platters to try smaller samples of different things. We definitely know what to focus on next time (for me, the potato pancakes and the hbo).

Fantastic pancakes and great service. I really loved the hot syrup as well. It's a little Smokey in the restaurant so we left our jackets in our cars.

First time at Chace's, my friend said he grew up going here and it's one of his favorite places. My friend and I split the potato pancakes and the banana pancakes. Can't believe this was my first time! They even brought a small pancake for my dog shaped as a bone!

If you're driving too fast, you'll probably miss it. This cute little place has a cozy diner vibe with quality customers service. The bacon was amazing! Small parking lot, carpool. Great prices. I would definitely come back.

Local breakfast and lunch place institution with friendly folks, welcoming atmosphere, and although the food came out quickly, a place to loiter a bit for that coffee refill.

Super inconspicuous but such a staple in Bellevue! Came in on a weekend and our group of 3 were seated immediately. Service is friendly and attentive but they do seem a bit short staffed. I had the Swedish pancakes with a side of hash browns, and really enjoyed both. The coffee was kind of a miss but I think the atmosphere of the small local diner experience makes up for it. Their pancakes are definitely one of a kind!

Chace's Pancake Corral has been in Bellevue longer than most of the buildings that have taken over downtown Bellevue, making this old school joint an automatic win. There's something really charming about a place that has still remained and has not changed its façade even as Bellevue grows. I like that about Chace's and more. I can't believe I haven't been here before since it has been in Bellevue for several years along Bellevue Way. I've passed by it numerous times but just never made my way to this small establishment until recently when my colleagues wanted to celebrate National Pancake Day and I was like, I'm down! We came here for lunch on a Friday and the place was still bustling post-breakfast hours. The parking lot is small, so if it gets busy, it can be a little challenging. But once you're inside, it just reminds you of a classic diner that has all your breakfast favorites, with a variety of pancakes. For the six of us, we were able to be seated within five minutes. Our server was awesome; I wish I remembered her name. She was super friendly and my colleague mentioned that he came here one morning for breakfast right as it opened and she still had the same upbeat, positive attitude even when the sun hadn't risen yet. I love that. We told her that it was one of our colleagues' birthday the day we visited and she brought out a stack of mini pancakes with whipped cream, funfetti and a candle where the staff sang happy birthday. Best ambiance ever! I ordered the toasted coconut pancakes, but instead of flour, I asked for the buckwheat version, which they were able to substitute. The buckwheat pancakes were good on its own that you don't even need extra flavor like the toasted coconut flakes that came with and the coconut syrup. Stick with the classics for the buckwheat pancakes. But everyone enjoyed their stack of pancakes and what a fun way to celebrate National Pancake Day! I had a fun time here.

Small place; parking is a challenge. Isle space is close at the back tables. Be prepared to be neighborly. Coffee was poured quickly upon seating but we sat for as much time as it took to drink 1/2 cup of hot coffee before the waiter came to the table. One-half of the menu is pancakes of various flavors and thy do not have any omelets-bummer. The black coffee tasted fresh and had a good flavor. I'd come back if a guest or family wanted to try this place but I would never be a regular or go out of my way to come here. Food was fresh and tasted good but not plentiful nor was the menu diverse in choice--sure 10 kinds of pancakes, French toast but NO omelettes. Choice of scrambled eggs or scrambled with cheese. $7.00 for two coffees is outrageous. Two 10 ounce mugs should cost no more than $2.50 each. The bill was $39 with one dish being simple pancakes for $10. Sure wish we had searched for a Denny's

Banana Pancakes and Side Orders (hash browns)

Went here with friends for a casual brunch a bit ago and had an okay experience. The ambiance is very outdated and diner-like, which actually is part of its charm and rare to find now in Bellevue. The service was a little slow and awkward, not great, but not terrible. The food was decent. I had the blueberry pancake and it was fine, maybe a little dry. The hash browns were decent, but the sausage was super juicy and yummy! My friends thought their banana pancakes and strawberry pancake/crepe were decent. The crepe serving was a little small. I much prefer Waffle House than this breakfast to be honest. Overall: okay breakfast place in Bellevue which is unique for its old diner vibe but you could definitely get better brunch elsewhere.

Great dining for simple, classic breakfast! Tons of pancakes choices, with french toast, crepes and classic eggs, sausage and bacon. Quant, historic Bellevue restaurant with attentive service and old school vibe.

The location is perfect to walk/ hike around the Mercer slough trails before/ after. It is 5 minutes from the educational center nearby. The diner has an old school cozy vibe and is known for its pancakes. The staff was very accommodating and got their outdoor seating ready for us to sit with our dog. What we tried: 1. The strawberry pancake: these are crepes that come with their house made strawberry compote and whipped cream. A popular item and it is delicious! 2. Hashbrown omlette: thin crust of hashbrown crust, very flaky with an omelette in between and slightly melted American cheese slices on top. Comes with salsa, sour cream and a buttered English muffin. Very tasty! My husband also ordered their German sausage on the side and liked it. 3. Sourdough pancakes (not pictured): a medium stack of 3. Comes with maple syrup and a salty white whipped butter (so good!). I got the house made lingonberry compote with it. I had the pancakes with the compote and the salted white whipped butter - soo good! Sweet and tangy ( compote) and tiny bit salty with the butter. Enjoyed the combo! Bonus: they got doggy bone shaped pancakes for our dog! She gobbled it up before I could take a photo!! We sat outdoors and it was a mix of sunny and pleasant (with a jacket). Made for a perfect brunch for us! Excellent service

Go to a family owned business where they actually care about customers and what they put on your plate. I have had their breakfast buffets almost a decade ago. It used to be one of the best ones in town. I don't believe they hold that title anymore. This place is severely understaffed but also what you get in the buffet doesn't even warrant the price. We decided to switch to their à la carte menu. The pluses: They seated us without a reservation on a weekend, sweet staff, the Tiramisu pancakes. The negative: 1 star for the service. I waited for plant based milk the entire time for my coffee-- it never came. My veggie hash had 0 salt and there was no salt on the table. Nor could I get anyone's attention. It was because of our table placement. I finally got someone else to get me salt after I had finished 75% of my meal. It also tasted of cast iron. The BLTA sandwich was good though. Our waitress didn't check on us until 5 minutes prior to getting the check. This place is completely off my list. I'm giving my business to another deserving spot for the Mother's Day brunch.

The bagels were delicious and toasted perfectly. It came with whipped butter and raspberry jam on the side. The pastrami omelet was very large and came with a generous serving of potatoes. ALso tried the pastrami and corned beef breakfast bagel, which was packed with almost like an omelet tucked inside a bagel. Also got a side of hand made chicken sausage which was okay. Tasted healthy. The one disappointment was the vanilla latte. It tasted more like it came from an automated coffee machine than a traditional espresso machine and lacked the flavor and quality I was expecting. Most things are self-serve here, including finding your own seating, grabbing silverware, getting water, and pouring drip coffee. As we were leaving, a live musician was getting set up to play, Which added a really welcoming atmosphere. The inside is nicely decorated and family friendly, with lots of children's books around to help keep little ones entertained. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the portions are large. Food tastes good, large portions, cozy atmosphere, and live music, I'd come back again though I'd probably skip the latte next time.

They have uniquely sourced items that are from Poland, Ukraine, and neighboring countries, as well as familiar items like house made baklava. When I shop there, I mostly concentrate on their dry goods such as sauces in jars, sweets, and easy to cook foods like frozen perogies (dumplings). Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. For me, this store doesn't serve the deli or the produce function in its name. But I do enjoy exploring their different items and choosing something new-to-me to try. That is good enough.
