I've been here a few times and man it's delicious! Be ready to wait outside in line until a table opens up. When you get to the register, you order first, and then they will give you a table to sit at. The owner is always walking around and greeting people. He's so caring. The ube pancakes are sooo good! Beware they are HUGE! The pancakes are fluffy and come with a ton of ube sauce. The sisig breakfast was delicious! The garlic fried rice was so tasty, the sisig cooked and caramelized. I love the piece of fruit they add to the plate once you're done eating all the savory stuff on your plate. The lumpia was also very delicious! The sausage was also really delicious!

Ludi's nails Filipino-American breakfast. The line makes sense the moment the food arrives. The biscuits are huge, the ube pancakes are a standout, and the turkey breakfast sandwich was excellent. Everything is good enough to make you want to explore the menu, yet tempting enough to reorder your favorite next time. The owner was actively helping things run smoothly, and the family-run energy gives the busy restaurant a personal feel. One word of caution: they don't take reservations, and we waited about 45 minutes for a table. There's a steady line from breakfast through lunch, and your entire party must be present before being seated. Plan accordingly. Overall, Ludi's is a must-visit Seattle breakfast spot for big portions, unique flavors, and food that lives up to the hype.

Yum. Truly worth the hype and the line. The ube pancake was so tasty, decadent, and fluffy. I recommend getting one (two gals split one) instead of a stack because while it's so good, it's big and it's kind of like eating cake for breakfast. We also shared the combo silog which was a great way to sample more of the menu. I enjoyed the garlic rice and ilocos especially. The diner feels so cozy and homey - old photos of the owner and customers and magnets his guests left are a nice touch. Friendly and attentive service despite the busyness.

Made a stop at Ludi's for lunch after a hike. I've never not seen a line here during open hours and have only known about their ube pancakes. We waited a bit over an hour in line. You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

Ludi's was such a good stop for us while in Seattle. We ordered the stack of ube pancakes and the combo silog. Man those ube pancakes were probably the best pancakes we've ever had lol. I swear I could eat those every single day if I could. The combo silog was awesome too because you get a little bit of everything, so it's perfect if you wanna try multiple Filipino breakfast staples in one plate. The whole place just felt super homey and comforting. Service was exactly what you'd expect visiting a Filipino household: warm, welcoming, and genuine. You really feel taken care of here.

We were told about this restaurant upon checking in at our hotel. My first time here in Seattle, and when I yelped this place and saw Ube pancakes, it was a no brainer!!! I read the reviews saying how this place has long lines, but figured a Friday morning on a I guess typical and cold Friday morning in May would show otherwise. Currently starting this review at the 34 minute wait time mark, just four people ahead of us at the door, at least outside. Ok, it's now the day after.. 40 minutes to get to inside where you order and they immediately seat you... Everyone was great, bustling business with lots of photos, magnets and other fun stuff around. Food was AMAZING; photos don't do this place justice...but the calamansie juice was like i remembered it from my last trip to metro Manila; the lumpia was yummy , hubby loved his chicken silog and Irish coffee, and my Ube pancakes were PHENOMENAL and kept me satiated for the entire day!!! Will definitely return when I'm here again!!!

This is my first post as part of the Yelp Elite Squad. My wife and I just took a weekend trip to Seattle (first-time goers) and a few friends told us about Ludi's so that was our first stop after checking into the Marriott. Food: The food was delicious! I had the bistek and garlic fried rice and my wife had the bangus. They also gave us some bibinka and turon to try. Something that they were doing with other patrons which was cool to see. Also very delicious! Service: Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Water was always refilled without having to ask. Awesome. Ambiance: Its a very homey ambiance. Love the look and feel. We WILL definitely come back when we visit Seattle again.

5 of us decided to meet at ludi's for some breakfast @ 0900 on a Friday -- we chose a Friday since they only serve those smackin ube pancakes on da weekends Expect a line cuz, but nothing too crazy. Waited maybe 30min total. Once ya get in, you order before being seated at a table (make sure your entire party is present before getting to the front or no can). We went family style and got a loco moco, side of French toast, stack of ube pancakes, side of beef lumpia, veggie lumpia plate, and combo plate + iced tea/coffees all around. Total after tax + automatic gratuity = $155. Not bad fam! Everything was quick and fresh to come out. No one left hungry yall. We all agreed the star of breakfast = those gd ube pancakes yesssah. Loco moco was aight. It's just always crazy to me how expensive loco moco is when it's legit just rice patty eggs and gravy hahaha iykyk should be $10 max. We were happy w how big a side of French toast was. Beef lumpia over veggie. Combo plate was ok--think I'd rather just get some spam or pordugee sausage or something instead. Anyways, there's something for everyone here! The servers and workers are all supah nice and attentive. Go show some love.

Visiting Seattle for the first time and kept hearing locals say how hard it was to eat here, as they sell out fast. Walked from our hotel here and got there at 6:50 and there was already a line. We were able to look at a menu while we waited and before we knew it, it was our turn. Sweet family run business, you order prior to sitting down with the hostess. They had no more individual seats but they offered us the community table! Best thing ever! Sat down and made friends with some other people visiting Seattle, as well as a kind woman who is related to the owners of Ludi's! Got to enjoy chit chat and then our delicious food came out. Got the long -silog that was absolutely full of flavor! The garlic rice was packed with flavor & I recommend grabbing some of the hot chili sauce and using that to dip the sausage in! So much food for what you get & such great service! If you're in the area, definitely make time to wake up early to grab some breakfast here + sit at the community table!

During my short visit to Seattle, I had to stop for a famous Filipino breakfast at Ludi's! And I am so glad I did. It was a Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM, and I waited about 15 minutes for a table for two. You're expected to order and pay prior to being seated, which is something I prefer, so that whenever you finish your meal, you can just go. Vibe - The vibe was like I was in Tito Greg's (the owner) home in the Philippines. He had pictures and murals of all his past customers. There was also a timeline story of how he started off as a dishwasher, eventually took over the business, and made it his own. Hospitality - I definitely loved the warm hospitality here. It felt like I was walking into Greg's home, for real. He even walked to everyone's table, not only to serve but to get to know you. The front-of-house staff was great, and the food came out relatively quickly--about 5 to 10 minutes after seating. Food - We ordered the lechon kawali--which comes with fried pork belly, eggs, and garlic rice--and the combo-silog, which comes with a fried pork chop, one longanisa, one lumpia, and an Ilocos longanisa. The food was beyond delicious. It was simple home cooking with Filipino dishes executed to perfection. The pork belly was crispy, crunchy, and juicy in every bite. The fried pork chops were lightly breaded and tender. The lumpia was filled with ground beef or pork and packed with Filipino flavors. The sausages were also delectable. It was simple breakfast cooking executed well. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and can see why locals and tourists come here. I'll definitely come back next time to try their famous ube pancakes! It's too bad they only serve them Friday through Sunday. I guess I have no choice but to come back then!

Amazing Filipino breakfast food in the heart of Seattle. We found this place on the last morning of our trip and it did not disappoint. First of all the staff here is incredibly kind, really great customer service and nice vibe. It looks like they always have a line but they have good turnover since service was very quick. You order at the counter before you are seated. They also have a self serve sauce bar and self serve take away packing which makes everything super efficient. We ordered the combination plate and lechon kawali. Both come with garlic rice (amazing) and eggs your way. We were obsessed with the tomato/pico esque side that came with the plate. It definitely elevated the dish. Really big portion size for the crispy pork, and my favorite on the combination plate was the beef lumpia. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique brunch spot!

discovered this place like the day before we arrived and bless up bc it was sooooo good AND it was very close to pike place so very convenient!!! was scared of there being a long wait but we went on a friday afternoon so there was actually only a less than 15 min wait. Inside is a casual but large and spacious restaurant that has clearly served locals and tourists for many years. obviously we ordered the ube pancakes which were sweet and delicious even when we had them as leftovers a whole 3 days later xD we also got the cornsilog (corned beef silog) which was so simple yet flavorful that it made me nostalgic for a reason plus last but not least the lechon kawali (pork belly) which had the perfect crispy texture. at one point some old filipino gentleman came to ask how the food was and refill our water and i recognized him as the owner bc his photos were on the wall :0

Just for the record, you will need to wait to eat here, especially during peak times on the weekend. No waitlist or reservations, just stand at the back of the line on the street. I waited 1 hour 20 mins, but it didn't feel that bad. The overall experience was worth it, especially connecting with Tito Greg! He really made it a 5-star experience! We tried the Ube Pancakes, Lechon Kawali, Combo Plate, and Crispy Kare Kare. The dishes come out fast and gives you a homemade comfort food feeling. Just good food, prepared well, and large portions. The star is Tito Greg, who comes around and greets his customers and has genuine conversations with everyone. He mentioned that famous people stop by to dine at his restaurant, but he doesn't really recognize them. One thing that stood out was that he mentioned he treats everyone the same, and you could tell he really loves connecting with his customers! The restaurant is well decorated and has charm and should be an experience that everyone tries at least once in Seattle. However, once you meet Tito Greg, you'll want to visit him regularly! Takeout options are pretty quick, if you're in a rush and don't want to wait in line.

There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for.
