Have dined here many times, always good food. Most recently had the Lunch chicken special for $6.99 that came with one chicken flauta, one chicken taco, and "one" chicken fajita that was really 3 as it had a lot of chicken and two extra tortillas. Black beans, rice, tomatoes, pico, drink and choice of dessert. Was all good quality and more than enough for 2 people. Only reason for 4 stars is the cleanliness of the place. The lady that took our order must have been drunk or hungover. She doesn't know how to use their computer and probably doesn't even care to be working. Compared to the other chachos location this place is a dump. The floors are covered with food and other unknown substances. Their cups are dirty and they refused to give me a to-go cup to use, but they didn't have a problem giving one of their friends cups to go We haven't tried the food yet, but the service and people are so off putting I wanted my food to go. read more

I am very disappointed in my visit to Chachos. I saw the great reviews for this place and decided to go get some dinner to-go. I ordered the steak fajita burrito and a side order of chips. When they called my number, I went up to the window to get my food. I noticed that there were no chips in the bag with my burrito so I looked and saw a brown paper bag next to my order and asked the gentleman behind the counter if those were my chips. He was polite and said yes so I took the bag, put it in the bag with my burrito along with all of the salsas that I had prepared to eat with my chips and I left. When I got home, I realized that what I thought was my chips was actually a chicken Caesar salad. So I was pretty bummed about that because I really wanted my chips! And I'm sure whoever ordered that salad wasn't happy either. Then, the burrito was lazily slapped inside a cold, thick "tortilla" that felt more like a pita and the ingredients inside were all scooped in together and not mixed at all. The first few bites of my burrito were literally nothing but sour cream. I'm totally unimpressed and will be going to Taqueria Arandas right around the corner from now on. Size of portions for the cheap price is totally worth it! Food has always been delicious. They may be out of sauces, but you have to go before 7:30 pm on a weekend if you want all the options. After 9:00 it is a hot mess. Out of everything and when you ask if they have any in the back, they say "who knows". They are known for their portions and good food. The tacos here are above average but you are better off stopping by one of the trillion taco trucks all over houston. Their flour tortillas are authentic. When I finished parking my car my coworker from Washington DC asked me to go to lunch with them. At any rate my boss swears by the 5 bucks fish tacos meal. You get a choice of a cookie or beignet for desert. I've had the fish tacos and they are Okay. The cookie is okay, but I'm not sure about the CHACHOS beignet /cake. It's different from what you would get in my hometown of New Orleans. The CHACHOS version is more like a cake. My coworkers were pleased, but I did not partake in this blasphemy in fear of upsetting the Mardi Gras demigods!!!!! WHUTTT!!!!!! So not wanting fish tacos either I chose the wing combo. It comes with six Cornish Hen wings. Three drums and three flats. They were the smallest wings EVER......they could only have come from a Cornish Hen!!!!! Wings aren't supposed to be that tiny!! Upside you get get some delicious Ore-Ida French Fries. They were cooked to an almost golden brown. Really if it wasn't for those krinkle fries I would've starved!!!! The LEMONADE was da BOMB! So the moral of this review is.......either LOOK at whose driving the group to lunch, or be smart enough to ask where they are going BEFORE YOU LEAP into the vehicle! Came here with a local. Very Urban. Massive quantities of "tex-mex" for cheap. Pretty good frozen margaritas. Weird that the main bar area was not in use. Had to stand in the food line for drinks and food. It was a cool kick-it spot I was there for a few hours because of the cheap drinks. However, the food wasn't that good. None of the food had much flavor and about half of our food came out cold, which seemed weird for the style of restaurant. Filthy. I walk in for a taco and a beer on the way to an appointment. Not one employee greets me on my way in, or says 'Hi' as I sit down at the bar. First thing that happens is, I put my hand on the bar to support myself, and its covered in some kind of grease. I almost fell, and that's just nasty. I am so disgusted with Chacho's. I thought they had changed and upgraded, but after last night NO!!!!! My daughter and I went around 9pm, it wasn't very crowed and the service was horrible. My daughter ordered 2 breakfast tacos, the eggs weren't done. I ordered a steak burrito and bite a staple. I was so upset because I had just bite a piece of uncooked meat. The manager gave us our money back, but I felt violated. The cooks don't care about their job, or the quality of food being served.
