JADA - Usually I'll choose chocolate over available options any day (and in this case, the CHOCOLATE ALMOND CROISSANT is an exceptional example, dusted with bittersweet cocoa + gentle on marzipan), but this BERRY CREAM CHZ DANISH is one of the best pastries I've ever had in my mouth. Previously unknown to me (call it serendipity), Chef Mark Chacón is known for long-lamination croissants, and every flaky layer surrounding a jammy (not mushy) sweet-tart center balanced by gently sweetened cream cheese is a delicacy waiting to unfold - each bite bringing wonderous delight. I'm a 100% WOW on this one. Can't wait to sample (with restraint) again!
Was at ASU Research Facility in Downtown Phoenix and asked if there was a cafe in the building. Walked into Chaconne Patisserie and what a pleasant surprise. Lots of fresh pastry and a good selection of sandwiches. How do I know it is fresh pastry. Saw them making them. Ordered a Cuban Sandwich it was excellent. Friend ordered a chocolate cake and was happy. There is another shop in the space that has a nice assortment of coffee and tea. Outside entrance off of McKinley and 5th Street. Service was excellent.
The pastries and the bread from this bakery make you feel like you are in Europe. So delicious flaky and flavorful. The bread is soft and crispy on the outside. The service here is always kind and helpful. The seating area and the restrooms are always clean. It's a great place for a first date or family outing
I stopped in here today to meet a friend and was a bit hungry by 3:45pm and selected a tomato and thyme tart. Service was great, all with smiles and very nice! This is a shared space with Peixoto and really nice concept. Ample seating inside. You order at separate counters. So many great pastry options here, I wanted one of everything! The parking in this area is a bit problematic, so be prepared for that. Nice experience here and would return when in the area.
I absolutely love pastries from here but my stop into the new downtown building was hopefully an off day. It was a busy Saturday morning so I'll attribute the cold pastries to that. We ordered a cinnamon roll, tomato croissant and a ham sandwich. They were on the counter pretty quickly and I had assumed they were warmed and ready to eat. I walked away and realized they were cold. I went back to try and see if the gal helping us could warm them but she was busy and so were others and ended up just leaving. I popped them into the air fryer when we got home and they were perfect. I'll definitely stop in again and make sure they're warmed when I order.
Chaconne Patisserie is such a lovely place to treat yourself! The pastries are beautifully made, fresh, and full of flavor, with just the right balance of sweetness and texture. You can really tell there's care and craftsmanship in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy something special or pick up a delicious dessert to go. Service is outstanding, even adding lemon curd to my lemon poppyseed donut. If you're looking for a patisserie that delivers both quality and charm, Chaconne Patisserie is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend Phoenix location that offers quiche and breakfast sandwich!
This is our go to spot for pastries! In fact I'm embarrassed to say how often we come here. Every single thing I have gotten has been phenomenal, the Rajas tart being a personal favorite. I also recommend the tomato tart, mocha toffee tart, hazelnut cake, espresso doughnut and chocolate pound cake. The people working here are wonderful and their drinks are fabulous as well! I'm especially partial to their matcha. Hands down, my favorite bakery in Phoenix!
Burnt and Dry.....and Wildly OVERPRICED I really wanted to love this croissant, but it wasn't for me. It was baked much darker than I prefer, resulting in a dry texture and a slightly burnt flavor. At $8, I expected a buttery, flaky croissant with a lighter, more delicate taste. But at $8 a croissant (yes, wildly overpriced even for downtown) its expected as a premium product. It's reasonable to expect it to be exceptional at that price point. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the price.
Very pleasant experience and are not shy of making recommendations. Food taste very fresh and all are prepared for everyone to see. Service was quick with being knowledgeable about their products. Ambiance cozy and there is space to fit everyone.

Chaconne Patisserie's downtown Phoenix location is a collaboration with Peixoto to serve a wide selection of pastries and baked goods with coffee. Essentially, they are 2 businesses operating under the same roof, i.e. paying at different registers if you're getting pastries and a drink. The more popular pastries can go quickly, so I would recommend going earlier for the best selection. Service was quick and friendly! There is seating available for small groups. There is metered street parking nearby, and also they validate for up to 1 hour at the 850 PBC parking lot. I got the hot honey latte and a cardamom bun - yum!
This was SO GOOD!! We came late in the day around 1:30 so selection was more limited but I was excited they still had some of the vanilla almond Danishes as this was one of the items I really wanted. The vanilla almond Danish is described as lighter than their cream cheese Danish with seasonal fruit and a thin layer of almond paste beneath vanilla custard. This was fabulous! The blueberries on mine were those smaller, really flavorful ones and the custard was really nice. The almond paste really puts it over the top! The staff were really nice and were helpful when I asked questions. They said the store is increasing production as they've had so much business. I can't wait to try the savory tomato thyme tart! It shares space with Peixoto coffee so plenty of drink options to go with your pastries.

If you haven't tried Chacónne pastries already from the farmer's markets or various cafes around town, the Cream Cheese Danish is a must-try. It's the right balance of crisp, flaky, and buttery with a perfectly sweet cream cheese filling. Plus, it's always topped with seasonal fruits (the current peach and raspberry one is perhaps my favorite variety!). Quality never misses. Can't wait to try the breads they're serving up soon! Peixoto is also a solid addition to the building, and they were quickly calling out orders even with the opening weekend crowds. This cute spot is largely designed like a grab-and-go cafe -- with separate lines for coffee and pastries -- but there's some seating in the cafe and around the larger building if you want to hang out. Keep in mind that some of the building's doors might be locked on weekends, but you can get straight into Chacónne from the north side.
Amazing options, feast with your eyes while rounding the corner waiting to order. I suggest a sweet and a savory option, and just know that you are going to want to return. They do have a fairly small space but at least one table or chair is always available so get in and get comfortable. Hallelujah!!! This is a dream collaboration for all coffee/tea lovers and pastry enthusiasts in central Phoenix! I no longer have to drive 35-40 minutes to Chandler or Scottsdale for these offerings! CP is a magnificent new space in DT Phoenix, housed in a fairly new ASU building. Peixoto and Chaconne are sharing the space, so they have 2 registers and ordering areas. It works well! The seasonal coffees and beautiful pastries are exactly what you can expect of these experts. Plenty of seating inside and outside! Light, airy and so welcoming! The baristas and bakery staff are very knowledgeable about their products. It's going to be so dangerous to be able to access Mark Chaconne's baked goods every day instead of just on market days now! FYI: parking is mostly on the street. There is a parking lot behind the building, but there is no validated parking. Coffee pro-tip: Peixoto is one of the few Valley coffee shops that makes a true 6 oz cappuccino! read more

Came visiting town with Peixoto on the mind and got side tracked by the BEAUTIFUL pastries at Chaconne! Though pricey, the fruit tart and espresso donut was SO yummy. After a walk in the DT Phoenix heat, we came back for yet another treat for the road - and I STILL think of our delicious sandwich on perfectly crispy bread. Would definitely keep this in my Phoenix rotation whenever I come visit! read more

Awesome! Prices are a little steep, but worth it for the quality of the pastry. I got a chocolate croissant and I think it was comparable to the croissants I had in Paris. Very sweet staff! My croissant was perfectly warmed and crispy. There's a decent amount of space to sit either inside or outside. read more

We love this place! Some of my favorites are the vanilla almond, ham and cheese croissant, Cubano, and seasonal cream cheese danish to name a few! Great customer service, and it shares the space with Peixoto coffee! If you park in the parking lot, make sure to get it validated by the staff for up to 1 hour! read more

Chaconne Patisserie is such a smart move being right next to Peixoto Coffee, creating the ultimate dual spot in downtown Phoenix. Walking up to the display case, you're hit with a serious dilemma because so many of the pastries look incredibly delicious. It was hard to choose just one. I ended up going with the pain au chocolat, and it was perfectly flaky and yummy, definitely hitting the spot. Even when the place gets busy, the line moved quickly, so I didn't wait long to get my pastry. This combination is a definite win for Roosevelt Row. read more
Stopped in a couple days after opening on a Saturday morning and it was understandably packed. Regardless the service was really quick and there was no real wait for the pastries. There are so many options that look delicious. A little pricey to be sure. We got a glazed brioche cinnamon roll and pain au chocolate. Both were really good, so I can't wait to try others. I was worried the brioche cinnamon roll would be a little dry but it wasn't. It was really soft, flaky, and delicious. I can't wait to try more of what they have. read more
Happy to see Chaconne grow, expand, and collaborate with other successful local businesses. Their pastries are some of the best (if not the best in Phoenix). I enjoy visiting their stand at Uptown Market but I like this vibe for a weekend too. I am a loyalist to the pain au chocolate. I tried the coffee cake this time, which was my first time, and it was delicious. It had a nice delicate crumb, tasty, balanced, and each bite kept me coming back for more. Service was quick and staff were friendly. A little overwhelmed with the crowds since I went on opening weekend so there wasn't opportunity to truly enjoy the space and ended up sitting onside on a bench to enjoy it. We loved getting Chaćonne pastries at the Uptown Farmers Market so we were very excited to try their new space! The Cream Cheese Danish is one of our favorites as are the Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chocolate Pound Cake. Service was very quick and friendly and all the pastry options looked delicious. Excited to be able to get some of their goodies more consistently without having to wait for the farmers markets. They are in the pricier side but honestly worth it for the taste and quality. Been patiently waiting for this collaboration to open so I was really excited to stop by today. The space is modern and sleek. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You order coffee and pastries at different counters. I got the butter pumpkin. The drink was good but the price was a little steep. It was over $8 for an 8 oz drink with oat milk. The pastries looked so delicious and freshly baked. I have had Chaconne's pastries before and they are absolutely delicious. I don't recall his prices before but I also felt they were priced very steep, for example a regular portion size of tres leches cake was $11. Overall I like the concept but I think the prices and the location is a downside for me. Only parking nearby is metered so keep that in mind. read more

Stopped in for something sweet and a coffee and was so pleased! Ended up getting the avocado milk bread toast, a mocha toffee danish and some jalapeño cheddar bread to go! The toast was amazing and the lime really did it. Was not bad to park on the street and walk in. Great vibes in and out, bringing my computer to work outside next time! Stopped in this am for coffee and a pastry with my daughter who lives close by. Beautiful new shop with outstanding pastries! A bit pricey, but such excellent quality for a treat. Peixoto coffee is very good. Had to wait quite a while for our drinks but attribute that to a lot of people on a Sunday am wanting to check the place out. There is plentiful seating indoors & outside - go check the businesses out! read more
