I was under anesthesia for routine dental work. (I have to be heavily sedated for all dental procedures because I suffer from a disability.) Prior to this, I was given an estimate of the work to be completed. The estimate states that the amount may fluctuate, and one will be billed or refunded depending on circumstance. Tomazin, however, decided to perform $2,751.20 of extra work not agreed upon while I was under anesthesia. This was not critical work that necessitated immediate intervention. Also, my medical surrogate was available to make decisions on my behalf while under anesthesia. It had been established during previous visits that the surrogate would be consulted prior to authorizing or denying additional work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In fact, I didn't know additional procedures were performed until 17 days had passed when I received a bill in the mail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The surrogate was never consulted. Thus, I was under anesthesia for a significant amount of additional time, undergoing a significant number of unauthorized procedures, violating bodily autonomy. I am shocked. Someone who I trusted to care for me, a person needing specialized care due to a disability, took advantage. I do not recommend Dr. Tomazin, particularly if you are undergoing a procedure that needs to be done under anesthesia. read more

I think it's been a couple of years already that I've been coming to o Dr. Chad. I don't live in Riverside but drive here to see him bc I love his holistic, root cause approach to dentistry. Dr. Chad is a master of his craft! He's up to date with everything in the office which is so beautiful and clean. The front desk staff is friendly, welcoming, kind and efficient. My hygienist is Brenda and she's amazing! Very thorough but also with a super gentle hand, she's always super friendly and it's always nice catching up with her. Unfortunately I've had to have some work done on my teeth, I www so glad Dr Chad was able to save one and rebuild for me (not sure the proper term for this) but I really appreciated his approach. He's such a perfectionist and will crack jokes which helps you feel at ease during what's not the most pleasant of situations. He makes you feel like he really cares about you and your oral health. Dr. Chad also safely removed all of my amalgam fillings for me and replaced them with non toxic composite material which came out looking so amazing! I'm so glad to no longer have that metal in my mouth. I am now in the middle of getting my night guard and I appreciate the team making sure it's a perfect fit for me. Because of his special type of dentistry many of the procedures are not always covered by insurance. I appreciate how the staff is always communicative about it, and lets you know in advance. I was able to make payments for my night guard which was very helpful. It's an investment but you get what you pay for and it's worth it in my opinion since oral health is a huge part of overall health. I also appreciate the periodic cancer screening that is offered. I went for a consultation and had a really terrible, quite traumatic experience. Before coming to this office, I had bounced around to 3 different dental offices, none of which made me feel valued. I always felt like I was trying to be taken advantage of with paying for procedures. Since my first visit in this office with Dr. Kim, I have had nothing but great experiences. When he left, I was concerned with who would be replacing him thinking I would end up probably having to find a new dental office again. But I was wrong because Dr. Tomazin has been awesome from the moment I met him. I found Dr Chad and his team after watching The Root Cause and researching my own health for nearly a decade. I am 34 years old and every 6 months to a year, I am diagnosed with a new disease or condition. My health is declining quickly and sufficiently. I have/had RA, lupus, celiac disease, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, iritis/uvetits (lost my vision three times recently, viruses, heavy metal toxicity, toxic dentistry, SIBO, infections, the list goes on and on. My life became unbearable. I've had my eye on Dr Chad and his practice for about three years. I wasn't convinced. I no longer trust ANYONE with my health. We have done the initial exam/rads and treatment plan. We've done the deep cleaning, oral dna swabs and corrected one amalgam filling that came loose. Low and behold they're was a major cavity underneath it and I almost lost the tooth. Dr B and Leonora treated me like I was their child. I was so incredibly cared for and taken care of. My mind was blown. All of them are so gentle in the mouth no matter what they're doing. I had my deep cleaning/dna swab/etc with Gemma and we clicked immediately. I LOVE HER! I have quite a ways to go on my healing journey, but I know with their knowledge, expertise, love and support and extra support from Dr. Mohrdar, I'll be there in no time. I question them, all of them, all the time. I'm difficult. I don't want to throw away any more money, energy or time. I cannot afford it health wise. I bug them all the time. I did my homework. The only thing they don't do (yet?) is galvanic metal current testing. That is something that is important with someone with as sick of a body as mine. It was pioneered and invented by Dr Hal Huggins. Im still on the fence with the surgeries and amalgam removal as I'm being very cautious to control what happens to me from here on out. It has to be done regardless. And even if he doesn't end up doing the current testing, I have never found such an intelligent dentist EVER IN MY LIFE!!! My daughter recently had Dr. Chad safely remove all her old mercury fillings and replace them with white composite fillings. Besides his experience with general dentistry, he is a licensed, practicing anesthesiologist, and teacher of anesthesia at the prestigious Loma Linda University, a huge benefit if you are one needing a deeper sedation than the typical halcyon type. The office has state of the art technology. I recently needed to have work on some old crowns. To my surprise, there was no two week wait to replace them, and temporaries that might fall out. They produced them while I was still at my first office visit. That is because of the hi-tech "CEREC 3D" which fabricates crowns and onlays in approximately an hour. My daughter and my husband both have been having dental implants done. And these are not produced as one day wonders, as I have heard advertised on the radio by other "wham bam thank you ma'am" kinds of dentists. I feel they are both receiving the most excellent care. They also sell a very impressive collection of oral care products that are top of the line, holistic based, such as oil pulling products, alternative toothpastes using Xylitol rather than fluoride, and teeth cleaning products like OraMD. Since following their recommendations, our already good oral health has continued to improve. Dr. Chad is young (well, he's young to me), easy-going, playful, and has a wonderful demeanor with children. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, this is a good place to start. The staff really know how to turn what could have been a traumatic experience into something positive and fun. I have been searching for a good dentist now for a few years. I'm so glad I found Dr. Chad Tomazin! From the moment I called to make my initial appointment, the front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. The systems they have in place like texting and emailing appointment reminders is really awesome.
