Had my car for longer than I can remember, just to over charge me on what they couldn't fix.

Our sons girlfriend had a sad incident hitting a raccoon while driving his car in the dark and that little guy did some damage which left the car un-drivable. Chads Auto was close and we were told it was very popular and a good, honest place in Huntsville. We had the car towed the next morning. They were busy and we thought it would be a couple days before we knew all the damage. Chad just couldn't wait. He had to know what all that poor little raccoon did to that car. So he told us the damage within hours. He was also wonderful helping us out with insurance and giving us the best options to save money. He treated our situation as if it were his own. He truly cares about his customers! He even offered to come in on his day off to make it convenient to pick up the car! Had my son cruising in his convertible ASAP. Thanks Chad! Highly recommend!! Took my truck for new jasper engine and transmission. 4.3 engine.9000.00 dollars.was told by other mechanics. I was over charge by 3000.00.it was a 99chevy silverado.chad is a a nice guy,but over charges on mechanic work.he had the truck for obout 3wks.the new engine and transmission was obout 4500.00 new.every time I called to try get 1500mile oil change ,always said his rack is full .call back tomorrow. His work is in demand so you may need to wait a few days for certain repairs, but he will always be upfront and provide a realistic time estimate; he won't let your vehicle sit in the parking lot for days or weeks until they get around to it. My car broke down right while driving back home to Dallas by the Sam Houston statue on 45. I had to take the next exit not knowing what to do form there. I stopped at the gas station right off the road and checked the car to find radiator fluid all over. Got on Yelp and searched for mechanic in Huntsville and thanks to the other 3 prior reviews I made a great decision to call Chad's Automotive for help. Chad is the most kind and amazing mechanic in all Huntsville Texas hands down. This guy not only helped us to get a tow truck and waited for us past closing time to take in my car, he also took us to a hotel, waited to see if they had rooms available and made sure I was near restaurants so we could have dinner that night. The next morning he called to check on us and went over the car problem with me. I had a busted radiator... ;(... but not to fear as Chad had it all under control. He took care of it with amazing service and got us on the road by 3 pm that day. He picked us up at the hotel and we went on home. I wish him the best and hope God will bless him with many years and many customers. I would bring my cars to him to fix if I could but I am 3 hours away. Unbelievable....Excellent service!!! Totally went the extra mile! Stayed after hours...didn't have the tire I needed. So...he called around, located the correct tire, picked it up, installed it, was VERY kind, trustworthy, and charged me a ridiculously fair price! I was driving home (alone) from Uark to Houston. I had my son's Hyundai Turbo Veloster, hit a pothole, & experienced my first ever "flat". I stopped at 3 places that were closed/couldn't help. With Chad's closing at 5pm....I called at 4:55 & asked if he'd stay open for me & he happily agreed. I got there at 5:25pm...and he didn't have the tire I needed. My daughter called me after her car died on the road just outside Huntsville on her way back to College Station with two other girls in the car.Her car did restart so I had her call someone to come get them and to find a shop in Huntsville. She first went to Jiffy Lube they were fast to tell her her transmission needed to be flushed and was leaking and would cost $650.00 but they don't do it there? (how can you quote a price if you don't do the work? Also the trans was just flushed 10000 miles earlier.Thus Avoid Jiffy Lube. Found Chads on Yelp good reviews so called and sent her there. He was closed by time she got there and his parking lot was full so she parked in the church lot next to the shop.When she arrived the next day to give him the keys she had a dead battery. Chad checked out the car and found the battery wouldn't take a charge so he replaced the battery and could only find the ac had no freon in it. To this day the car has had no problem.I really think the ac went out and she didn't want to drive the car.Chad charged me for the battery and sent us down the road. He will get our return business this is what is called an honest shop. I just outside Austin and cant run every time her car has a problem. I need to leave negative feedback to Jiffy Lube someday. Found Chad's Automotive on here and glad I did because his reviews don't lie. Had my master cylinder brake go out so I took my vehicle to Chad's where he was able to give me a free quote on how much the repair was going to be and how long it would take. After all said and done I took my car in the next morning and he was already done with it after lunch. The cost was exactly as he told me and was even done with it earlier than I expected. He is an honest man and left me very satisfied with his business and the work he performed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would trust him to work on my vehicle again in the future. Ask anyone who's been in Huntsville a while where to take your car for repairs, and I bet they say Chad's. I only go to Chad's anymore for my poor ancient beater of a car. I feel like I'm treated honestly and fairly there. He's always swamped but still manages to turn things around quickly. Service is friendly. My husband was car shopping and took a prospective car in to Chad's. Chad told him right away that that year's model had known issues. He looked at the car anyways, for free I believe, and indeed found an issue. Thanks to him, my husband avoided buying a lemon. Chad has a helper or two, but otherwise he runs the whole shop himself, including answering the phone, so be patient. read more

My friend got a flat tire on the highway and we didn't realize it until we got on campus. Chad's automotive was close to campus so we ended up having to stop there and ask if they could do anything. The tire was completely blown out but he tried to put air anyway. He let us leave it there and go pick up a new tire. He waited for us and even put the tire on the car. Extremely helpful guy cause he didn't have to help us like he did. Whenever I get my car maintenance done I know where I will be going. My car was having some issues with the engine fan and so I decided to stop by Chad's to get it looked at because of its convenient location right off of Sam Houston Ave and its seeming popularity since I had always seen vehicles in the shop. I dropped my car right early in the morning when it opened and he told me that it would probably be by noon till the end of the day by when it would get looked at. Within less than an hour and half since I dropped it off, Chad had already called back and said that they had been able to take a look at my car and assess the problem. It was ready and fixed before lunch time and at a very affordable and reasonable price. Overall, the customer service was great as well as the actual work that was done to my vehicle. I would definitely take my car back to this mechanic. The only down side is that it is a fairly small shop and because of the amount of business that he does get, it is sometimes hard to get your car in and you might have to wait and come back after a couple of days in order to find an opening. read more

He said he couldn't look at it until next week (which being the week before a holiday was understandable) but he actually looked at it that day got back to me the next and even came in Saturday and Sunday and fixed the problem before the next week.
