A long overdue review, just never got to it. We bought our house in October 2019 and Chad did the roof inspection. Just some minor things which we were going to get around to after moving in. One of them was a bad seal around a vent stack with some visible water stains on the hall ceiling just beneath it. I contacted him after we moved in about fixing them and getting a new roof quote as it had ran out of useful life at 23 plus years old, but he had already re-sealed/caulked the vent stack when he inspected it originally! How cool is that? Asked for and got the re-roofing quote in late Feb 2020, said let me know when he can schedule it. He called back the next day and said he just had a reschedule on another job and could start ours in 2 days, I said sure. Work was completed the following week and we had a watertight roof. Fast forward to early 2021, a small piece of roofing on the facia overhang fell off, he and his guy fixed it nicely. We had Chad install two sun tunnels that really allowed lots of light into dark rooms. Several months ago one of the flexible light tubes came loose from the roof mount, making the room dark again. Chad's foreman fixed it quickly and all is good. Why only 4 stars? The permit for the roof took a year to get. Much of that is due to Covid restrictions immediately after the roof was completed. Some due to poor communication. But I would highly recommend Chad for your roofing needs if you're looking repairs or replacement. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Chad did over $80K worth of roofs and gutters on a commercial property for us about three years ago. Since then numerous areas of the roof has failed on a roof thats supposed to last years (and on top of that the gutters were never sealed together properly). For months we have been trying to get ahold of him to fix the issue and there has been nothing, but silence on his end. No call back, no texts, nothing. Finally, he recently called back and said he doesn't have his own business anymore and he works for someone else so he couldn't help us. Looks like we got stuck with a shotty roof done by Chad and now need to hire someone else to fix it. Good riddance, but buyers beware. read more

Chad is a scammer! I wish I had read Gina's review before hiring Chad. What happened to Gina happened to me and my rental house in Gilroy. In December 2020, my roof was found leaking in a storm and Chad was invited by my tenant to work on it. His charge ($2200) was higher than the market. But, my tenant said he knew Chad so I hired him anyways. The very next year, it leaked again. I thought it was under his two-year warranty. It took me two months and 20 calls+emails to get Chad to finally respond. He said he mistakenly thought I was another customer whom he was trying to hide from. He eventually "fixed" the roof, but charged me another $2600 because he claimed the leak was under the solar panel and it was not the same leak. After he "fixed" the new issue, it started to leak in the very first rain five months after his work. He again disappeared, ignoring all my calls and emails. It's been another month, I'm giving up. I guess I become one of the customers he's trying to hide from. I hope his list of customers to avoid doesn't get longer. I'm reporting him to BBB. read more

He recommended by a few friends of mine. I called and setup appointments he missed the first one, then calls 20 minutes before second one to tell he'll come later... and no show. Finally he comes we chat and go over the scope of work, he gives me a ball park figure and tells me to send pics of aerial view I had paid to have done. He says I'll get you a quote right away, after waiting 2 days I call and text with no response after telling me he would send a crew out in a week to do the job in one day. Alot of talk, while giving the quote but no follow through on scope of work or quote... very misleading. I wish I would've seen the yelp below with similar process i went through. read more

Very disappointed in this guy. He was highly recommend from someone and I was disappointed that he never even followed through with a job quote for me. I waited a week and nothing. I even texted him to ask if he was still available to do the job and no text back at all. He lied and said he would send me a quote within two days. Does not seem reliable to me. He could at least be professional and return my text letting me know he was not interested in the job. read more

Highly recommend Chad! After two roof tiles fell and shattered during a storm, I had intitally called another roofer in town. They came out for an estimate straight away, sent me an extremely expensive quote and then wouldn't ring me back to schedule the repair. A week later, I called Chad. He arrived within a couple hours of my call and fixed the roof on the spot. He came back a few days later to polish it off and it looked as good as new. Pricing was more than fair. He's fantastic! Bottom line... we got a great roof. But getting there was not the best. We hired Chad mainly because he was a one stop shop. He could take care of our pool solar panels on the roof as well as sealing correctly around the chimneys without hiring a mason. But we were also in a time crunch as we were moving and putting our house on the market. This is where communication broke down. Sometimes Chad would get back to us asap but other times we did not hear from him for weeks. He did not start the job when expected and we heard nothing from him despite texts & calls from us and our realtor. When we did hear from him, he gave us another start date which also turned into a no show. By the time he started the roof we were in the middle of our move. In the end, we did not get to see the finished product but heard from our realtor it looked great and was well done. I know the family who bought the house so I will update if they have any problems with it. I think Chad does great work, but he's not so great at communication. I would still recommend him as long as you are not under a time crunch. read more

We contacted Chad's Roofing first thing this morning after noticing a leak in our ceiling. He said he would send someone right out to take a look at it. Chad had his guys there within 30 minutes. They went up on the roof, took pictures so we could see what the problem was and fixed the tiles that had slipped and replaced the felt underneath. The job was completed in about 40 minutes!! They workers were courteous, efficient, and VERY reasonably priced considering we were under the gun to get it fixed before the next rainstorm. We highly recommend using Chad's Roofing and will definitely call him again should the need arise. read more

BEWARE. I was referred to Chad from a friend who had used him and had a good experience for a small residential job for my retired father-in-law. I told him the size and scope of the work and he said it would be no problem. I set up an appt. with his foreman, who also agreed it was an easy job. Then, a week later when I contacted him about the estimate, he replied he'd call me back. Never did, even after repeated texts and emails. At least he could have had the professional courtesy to contact me and say he had gotten too busy or whatever. I guess it is best he did his disappearing act before he took my money. I asked these guys for a quote. They couldn't even get this right. I called at least 4 times to get them to give me the estimate. Each time they responded that they'll send it to me, but I never received it. It would be better if they just said we are not interested in the job or we are too busy. I would not recommend this Roofing company because even though they didn't do any work on my house and for all I know they may do a quality job, they lack integrity in following up in doing what they said that they would do. read more
