I really didn't want to have to buy a new mattress, especially right now, but here we are. The mattress I have (a Beautyrest Recharge Worldclass) is no longer made, and I was finding conflicting information in forums on what people recommended. I saw reviews about Robert here, and was hoping he could help me. He knew exactly what mattress I was talking about, and said that would help him find a similar mattress for me. I knew the firmness I wanted based on what I had bought combined with buying a plush mattress for my guest room that everyone raves about, but I can't sleep 1 night in there without feeling like I'm sinking. He had me try about 8 mattresses. The 8th one felt Exactly like my old mattress before it started sagging. It was just this feeling. I went back to a couple of the others (which were more expensive) to make sure. Robert was so amazing the whole time. Calm and just explaining the differences. I ended up choosing a mattress that Factory Mattress itself makes. It's called the Milton. It's similar to a Serta, I think. I had it delivered yesterday (they took my other mattress), and I slept so well! I wasn't expecting to on the first night. I always wake up in the middle of the night, but this was one of the best nights in many months. Thank you, Robert!

Bought my mattress 8 years ago from Robert, and when i returned to shop for a replacement (due to…read moresagging), he suggested i go through the warranty process. After that was completed, I returned to purchase a new mattress but Robert was not available and another salesman assisted me. I was happy to complete the warranty process (which was fairly simple), I now find myself wishing i knew more about the refund process than i was told. First, the refund was a credit with the store, not an actual refund of cash. Second, although the refund could be used on any brand mattress FM sells, the warranty on the NEW mattress has the same expiration date as the OLD mattress. That is, the 10-year warranty on my new mattress will expire in two years. Third, i was told if I'm not happy with the new mattress, too bad. There are no exchanges or returns on mattresses purchased with a warranty credit. So looks like I'm stuck with a brick of a mattress that is nothing like the comfy one i tried in the store. Caveat emptor.

However, we visited on July 9th and apparently there was a huge internet outage that the salesman couldn't run any numbers or print receipts etc. So we picked out a bed, he gave us the pricing with the box springs and told us to come back on Thursday and he will get all our info for delivery. We went back to the Kyle location come Thursday and they were closed with this sign on the door that states if we travel to the south Austin location we would receive 10% off. So, we got in our vehicle and traveled to that location. Got there and spoke with someone who claimed he was the manager. Showed him the bed we had looked at and wanted to purchase. However he gave us a price that was not what we were expecting...about $400 more. So we told him the situation with their internet and how we visited the other location and they were unexpectedly closed so we came there and asked if he would honor the pricing. He refused and said that the pricing given was a sale price and the sale ended on the 9th when the internet was down statewide. I advised him I didn't understand why they wouldn't honor it as the internet being completely down on sales day was something out of everyone's control not to mention we went to go speak with Bert today to purchase but there was a staffing issue in the Kyle location. He copped an attitude and said he was not going to stick his neck out for us and there was nothing he was willing to do. It was a blessing in disguise as I didn't wanna do business with a company that doesn't value their customers time and money. We waltzed our way over to Mattress Firm across the street and they were GREAT! We ended up purchasing something newer with an adjustable base for around the same price the "manager" was trying to sell us a mattress and box spring.

The Lady and I were in the market for a really nice mattress topper, had ordered from another…read morecompany, with UPS delivery. One time it passed Austin and went to Kyle where it disappeared. The second attempt made it to Fort Worth and disappeared. So we decided to take a look at mattresses and stopped into small shop as we we in the shopping center. There were so many different sales on some items I immediately shifted into an on guard mode. The one gentleman working was very patient and knew his items. No hard sell. While there were some interesting things there (all manufacturers say they are the best) I immediately picked up on the fancy tilting frames, snore detectors and even USB ports. Technology proceeds rapidly and having to "update or upgrade" part or all is not in my color wheel. While we didn't purchase at this time, it gave us plenty of ideas. Will we be back? Probably, after looking a bit more places thanks to a nice guy with extreme patience. Now, another King or Queen. :-)

There are two Mattress Firms on Brodie Lane. This is the one in the DSW and Petsmart and Tarka…read moreshopping lot. It was listed as a "clearance center" but when we got there they didn't know what that meant. So don't make an extra trip based on that label. It would be easier to go to the largest Mattress Firm in Austin, which is just down the road next to Sam's Warehouse and Best Buy off Mopac. We got a a Simmons Beautyrest and are really enjoying it. It has a 15 year warranty, if you think you'll have it that long, and separate coils so that the bed doesn't bounce when the other person is getting in/out of bed. We did order one of their special Mattress Firm coconut pillows but when the mattress was delivered, there was no pilllow. Now we have to call and complain, which is a pain. Excellent customer service while you're there, and there is not a hard sell thing happening while you're shopping, which is nice. It would be nicer if the sample beds were queen instead of twin so that two people could lie on it first before making such a large purchase. I guess that is too heavy for one sales rep to pull out of the display area. Check out Tarka for lunch on the way out.

I can tell you that I was extremely patient and forgiving throughout this entire process. But the final straw was, after literally a year of trying to get the pillow I ordered, I went in the store one last time after the manager assured me it was there. Once again, the pillow "disappeared" and the salesperson on duty basically told me that I had already picked up the pillow and I was trying to dupe them by getting another pillow. Surprisingly, he finally got in touch with the manager who told the guy the pillow was indeed mine. Absolute insanity. I recommend you go elsewhere if you're in the market for a pillow.

My husband and I took our time testing out mattresses with input from a sales floor employee. 3) and lastly - their prices are lower than what you can get directly from a the mattress providers. They are not lying when they tell you they offer lower prices. They are able to apply any available sales prices from Helix, Avocado, etc. and they have the ability to add discounts on top of that. My husband and I were not sold but then we went home and crunched numbers before going with ordering from OSG. It was hundreds of dollars difference for the same product. Our shipping was slightly delayed but overall not a huge issue for us.
