Very deceptive practices. They showed me all the beds they have and walked me through all of the pluses and minuses, and then we went through the process of purchasing a mattress, explained to me I would get a $200 store credit but it was for a set of sheets that was over $100 and one pillow that was over $100 and then they said..... well, we don't have any of these in stock but we can get one and have it to you in three weeks. I submitted a warranty claim and of course, in 48 hours, it was denied stating that the 1inch sagging is NORMAL wear. We bought a mattress and adjustable base to replace an old mattress. We found what we were looking for and discussed the height difference we would expect using our existing under drawer dresser bed frame. The additional height turned out to be much more than I estimated. I've had to remove the adjustable base for the new bed height to be useable. Unfortunately at the end of the sale process I was told there are no refunds on the $1500 adjustable base. Kind of caught me off guard.. Not too happy with myself and trying to understand the logic.. Went through a divorce and left it with my X. now remarried we bought a new one. This is the 3rd time we need to replace the base and we just bought a it 4 months ago!!!! I was looking into a new matress as I moved out of my college dorm and was greeted as a regular customer would. Fabio helped us and was showing us beds around our budget and then became pushy when I wanted to see other stores as we just started. I was firm on my choice from seeing other places and then he gave me a discount on a bed that we looked at. I asked if it was fair if I could keep the offer and come back just to check other places. He said no and asked why I wasn't sure. I mentioned that I had an old injury and said that if I am dealing with that pain then get a tempur pedic, if it's that bad. For 17 years of sales experience, he was disrepectful once he knew I was going to check other places. As a salesman myself, it should be respected if customers want to check other places. read more

My wife and I came in to look for mattresses on a Saturday afternoon. Maleek approached us very quickly and knew exactly how to guide us to the mattress we would eventually purchase. We never felt pressured to buy something out of our price range, which is lower at the moment since we were looking for a mattress for the guest room. He effortlessly helped us and another couple at the same time without either of us feeling any lack of attention. I try not to buy at the first place I shop so I left without buying that day. No other place we visited had the knowledge, service or pricing to match. Also Maleek assured us that if we found a better price at another store, he would match it. That was a great touch. Buyer beware: this store uses the words "clearance" and "pre-owned" as if they mean the same thing and they don't disclose the condition of the mattress you're purchasing until the transaction is complete, if at all. Check your invoice before leaving the store. Then I had to call back for removal of an old mattress because they didn't follow up as promised after my new one was delivered. I've just moved and have 2 other bedrooms to furnish but I won't be buying the next beds here. read more

If I can give this place a 0 I would. The lady (I wish I had gotten her name: 5'5" with an accent and long black hair) was probably the worst person to give customer service. She was so forceful with making us buy a mattress. When I told her I recently moved and in need of a mattress but I was still looking around to see all my options, she goes, "So youre not serious with buying one? Bc I dont want to waste my time." 1. If you want your customers to purchase something learn to give GOOD customer service. I kept telling her I was serious but am trying to find something cheap and she kept saying this is the cheapest and that I was basically wasting ppl's time trying to see other options. So I decided to leave, when I was leaving she told me that she can give an additional discount if we bought something right now and that she cant tell me what the discount is until I agree to buy one. How forceful can you be?! I have never felt so annoyed that someone will pretend like all mattresses werent additional 20% off at the time (it was on their windows and on the website yet she didnt offer that to us and pretended like it was some gift from her and how she works hard going that extra mile for us). She told us she had to talk to the managers or corporate to get discounts approved and that if were not buying anything from her than she wont tell us what the discount is because she doesnt wanna go that "extra mile". He screamed at us to make a decision and asked "Why are you asking questions if your not going to buy". We had all the intention to make a purchase, but after receiving that type of treatment we were so uncomfortable we had to leave immediately. As indecisive as I was, she totally understood and remained patient and polite as my husband and I tried to decide which mattress to go with. She knew her stuff and even offered to help us find the best mattress at the best price for us. She did her best to help keep us within our budget. Our mattress was delivered the very next day. They did however, forget our mattress protector but I called the next day to the store and they said it would be ready for me to pick up. No pressure sales job. Complete idiot on mattress. I went to buy a mattress for my mom's adjustable bed. Their records show she bought a twin xl. My mom is 4'9". Argued that it should be a twin but relented due to their paperwork. Mattress arrived and smelled horrible. They did not tell me it was pre-owned. They only said it was a clearance item. They never said it would smell or that it was cleaned with chemicals. Mattress was the wrong size for my mom's bed. Plus it does not work on the adjustable base. It does not fold and slides completely off the base. Even with my sister laying on the bed! My fault for believing they would know which mattress would really work on the adjustable base. Now we are out of $$$, stuck with a mattress that is the wrong size, doesn't work on the base, and smells. read more

On December 10, 2017, my mother and I went to Mattress Firm because I had been approved for $500 with progressive lease and they had a sale going on where you would get a free box spring, free pillow and Mattress protector and free delivery with any Mattress purchase. When we got there I had to run my credit again because my credit application had expired. I was approved for $1000 this time. We ended up buying 2 queen mattresses from Fabio Mendonca at the South Park Meadows location (next to Walmart). He didn't honored their sale, he said that it was either the pillow and mattress protector or box spring for free. We chose the box springs for free instead. He charged us $50 for each box spring anyway. We told him that we were going to need Mattress frames and he threw them in for free. He charged us $409.99 for each Mattress, $50 for each box spring, $0 for each bed frame and $79.99 for delivery. The subtotal was $999.97. We went back the next day because we noticed that on our receipt it said: "PURCHASE INCLUDES PREOWNED CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE." He sold us used mattresses without our knowledge. He insisted we still get the preowned merchandise. Now, at a lower price of $739.98. He was selling us the same used merchandise he sold us for $259.99 cheaper. We told him we wanted everything in our order to be new. We didn't care if we had to pay the difference. I also showed him screenshots where I had added the same items to my cart online and I was getting 2 free mattresses springs, 2 free pillows and 2 mattresses protectors and free delivery. Until then he agreed to honor that sale. Our new subtotal was $1036. A difference of only $36.03. The delivery was already in the truck when we cancelled the order and reordered it. They delivered the used merchandise even though we paid for the difference. I called and asked to speak to the manager and I explained to her that they delivered the used merchandise instead of the new merchandise. Also, that my mother suffers from dermatitis, lupus of the skin and hives and that I didn't know whether or not she could suffer from an allergic reaction from the chemicals that they use to thoroughly disinfect the mattresses. She chuckled. They finally delivered the new merchandise a day after I needed it by. I had guests coming over for my Brother's graduation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS MATTRESS FIRM LOCATION. read more

So I called Fabio and he immediately drove to my home, and actually helped me take down our old mattress frame and put up our new bed. After shopping around at several mattress retailers, it was, ultimately, Amelia and her co-worker who were able to help us come to a decision. We did our research and due diligance in shopping around for a mattress, but actually wound up returning to this location to make our purchase after visiting several different stores. Amelia's approach was patient, knowledgeable, and, perhaps most importantly, not pushy while we alternated between the same two beds for what must have been an entire hour. She was nice enough to help us make sense of a neighboring store's flashy sales tactics which we suspected (correctly) to be mostly fluff. Although we opted for a brand new mattress, the staff made sure we were well-informed about our options, which included saving almost 50% on a $2,000 mattress by taking a clearance item. Lastly, it's worth mentioning that the mattress we bought was listed for $200 more at Mattress Firm's competitors, and Ameilia even cut us a deal on pillows and a mattress protector. There are several Mattress Firm locations in and around Southpark Meadows. I'm sure they all have similar corporate policies, but we had our great experience at the one closest to Slaughter right by the Walmart. read more

I went into this location and was greeted and helped immediately. The problem was with the box spring I received. Although the staff was friendly and helpful, they failed to deliver the same type and color of the box spring I was shown in the store. The delivery driver was over an hour late and missed our drop off as well. I wasted my valuable time waiting around for them to arrive. My room mate received the mattress for me because I had to leave and after I got home I was surprised to find a blue box spring instead of the white one I requested. It wasn't until I called the store a fourth time to inquire about my order that I was offered free delivery. Because the delivery was significantly late I should already have received this as compensation in good will of the company. The manager/salesman Tim did not offer me any resolution unless I asked for it. I asked if the company would reduce the price of the box spring to compensate the fact that the item was not what I originally requested. Tim did not allow this because he claimed that they already gave me a "good deal" on the box spring. The "good deal" he spoke of was merely $10 off my order. Because of the amount of frustration this company caused me I reluctantly agreed to keep the box spring since Tim could not locate a white one in the system. I was planning to buy a brand new bed set in the near future but because of this problem for my very first purchase from this company I will most definitely not be returning to any Mattress Firm store or its affiliates unless this can be correctly resolved. read more
