For Warhammer enthusiasts and people who are curious about the Warhammer/Games Workshop worlds in South Austin this should be where you begin. I started visiting the store about a year ago and have had an absolutely wonderful experience as a result. The store is well stocked and runs events for both model painters and tabletop players. Special shoutout to Colin who not only does a marvelous job guiding new players, but also has on more than one occasion worked his magic to help me find models that might otherwise have been unavailable. Ive been to the shop dozens of times, and have never felt pressured into purchasing anything. Collin is The Man. The man to see about Warhammer and 40K. The methodical processes of removing and assembling the pieces. Painting them to immaculate condition. Then using them to ERADICATE YOUR ENEMIES across ANY Terrain. He's very, very helpful. His willingness to answer my questions while amidst a nail biting game shows his utmost attention to excellent customer service. His accent is fun too. I wandered in here from the beauty store my other half works at. Any ways Collins insight into the game really peaked my interest. I even thought of hosting a UYE here. Great place! read more

Store has a great selection of models and paints. The manager Colin is very knowledgeable and helpful! He gives free paint lessons and game demos. The gaming tables look great and local gaming community is fun to game with. Having visited other games workshop stores this one is my favorite because Colin enthusiasm for the hobby and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again for future projects. read more

I love games workshop and although a bit on the small side, this location is a fine hub for the hobby. The reason I have to give it such a low score is that it has one of the least inspiring GW managers I have ever encounter. He means well, but he equates leet knowledge of the game with passion and enthusiasm. His very demeanor gets under my skin. But worse, he walks you through the store trying to get you to buy ever single thing you pick up or look at. It drives me crazy, I just want to explore and let my imagination run wild, but I feel like I have someone trying to impress me with his knowledge of the game everywhere I go. When you talk to him about the hobby, he is always talking from a place of supreme authority and not that I don't think he knows his shit, but it really stifles my budding interest in the game. I keep coming back because to this place because it is the only GW store in the area. I keep hoping it was just a bad first, second, third, etc impression, but it's the same every time. He's a nice guy and means well, but I really hope he sees this and tries a different approach. However, I worry it may be just too much a part of his character, and they would need to get someone more charismatic to take his place. read more
