Epic apocalypse games at this store!

Ok I travel the world and when I do I make a point to visit Games Workshop wherever I go. Thankfully this is one of my local stores. And no matter how often I visit other stores, and no matter what the level of service... they never outshine Colin. His knowledge, enthusiasm and desire to help his players improve in every aspect of the hobby shines through. And I WISH hobbyists around the world could all get experiences like you do when you have Colin guiding you. Great store, great staff.

The club is beautifully decorated, and the restaurant/bar serves good food and drink. We stayed in a nice hotel room, but were quite surprised to discover that we had no hot water. After many attempts to fix it, and move us to another room that also did not have hot water, and offer us a third room, we decided to stay in the original room. We wasted a lot of time packing/unpacking, moving between rooms. Eventually one staffer admitted the property had poor hot water circulation in some areas and that the "property was not built as a hotel". The maddening part of all this is the reluctance of the management to admit to what is a known issue, and to offer us a free breakfast as compensation for a $1000 stay. The staff are highly trained to be polite, engaging and outwardly helpful, but are totally unequipped to deal with a real problem that is not easily fixed or papered over.

Coming here requires a change in perspective. It is a wonderful space to work during the day or…read morehold an in-person meeting. Think of it as a calm, upscale sitting lounge with lots of natural light (but still a moodiness, owing to the dark furnishings), that also happens to have food and drinks available. You may not be promptly served menus like in a restaurant; they aren't going to rush you out to turn your table after 45 minutes either. Come to sit and chat or work, and appreciate the fact that you don't have to dash out to get a bite to eat when you get too hungry. The guac is great. The protein in the smoothies is not sufficiently blended.

The food served, the drinks from the bartenders, and the overall classy and timeless feeling the Austin Club gave made for a beautiful reception full of joy. For dinner we were served a Chicken Piccata with Brussels Sprouts and Mashed Potatoes that was top notch. I haven't had a regular meal here, but the Austin Club was a great event space as a guest, and I had a great time at the venue. RIYL: Class in the heart of Austin

Everything tasted fabulous. Others had stuffed chicken or sea bass. I got to try the sea bass; it was delicious as well. Props to our waiter George! Top notch. Each dish had a fresh orchid on it, which I collected most of to take home. I snuck away from the dinner party to look around. Now, what I discovered. The blue ceiling mural has a face of one of the local opera singers back in the day; Priscilla. In the video you'll hear the story told by Alex (the asst mgr) who was kind enough to show me the upstairs and tell me about Ms Priscilla. Great food, great svc, lovely historical bldg. I can't say enough good things about T3. Where do I even begin? T3 is basically a triathlon…read moretraining group, but it is so much more than that. They are hard core about getting you to a level you never knew existed, yet fun loving and very team spirited at the same time. The coaches are awesome and I feel like I have gained so much from training with them. If you are just a beginner at triathlons or an experienced triathlete, this is a group that embraces people of all levels and goals. There are people of all ages and ranges that train for the sprint, olympic, half ironman, and ironman distances. I started back in April of 2008, with their swim clinic. Yea, I could swim..maybe doggie paddle swim a couple 50 meters or so, but I REALLY didn't know HOW to swim. They taught me how to do it efficiently, with proper technique. 1 year ago I couldn't swim one length of Barton Springs without freaking out or hyperventilating. Swimming was the only thing keeping me from competing in a triathlon...but here I am now training for a half ironman. Yes I knew how to run..yes I had a bike, but really I didn't know how to put all the pieces together. With them, you have coaches to help you, teammates to push you along the way and give you advice, and practices that will kick your ass. Another great thing about the group is that they have a very flexible training schedule that can work for anyone and everyone. They have swim practices everyday (morning, lunchtime, and night), they have spin class 3 times a week at different times, they have track and run practice 3 times a week as well. On weekends there are group long rides and runs. You don't have to be a triathlete to join, many people train in all 3 sports, 2 sports or even just 1 pf the sports. The skies the limit with flexibility. If you are looking for a triathlon group to train with, this is IT. I don't mean to sound like this is some marketing ploy, because it's not. This is the real deal, and I am willing to put the smack down on anyone that chooses to challenge this review, because T3 is absolutely, positively THE shit.
