I was willing to follow her after 4 years because she's awesome - does a great job with color and cuts, in addition to being super friendly. The salon itself is really clean and has a cool vibe. I have been there since Covid started (and only when salons/barbershops were allowed to see clients). Every precaution was made to make me feel safe while seeing Kim - temperature checks before sitting in a chair, minimal customers in the salon at one time, clean cutting stations, cleaning sinks before and after getting hair washed. Went into my first appointment since reopening salons during Covid and the salon is doing a superb job of keeping everything sanitized. Temperature checks at the door, sanitizer before and after you sit in the chair, plus they thoroughly wipe down everything before and after you come. This I witnessed. It was very thorough. Plus, all people (stylists and clients) are wearing masks. I've been having Amy cut my hair for about a year and she's very talented, takes her time and makes sure you love your look. Minnie did a cut and balayage on my hair, and I have to say, I have gone to a few of different stylists for balayage in the past, and this is the first time that a stylist has actually gotten it right. Disappointed in the customer service. My previous hair stylist was leaving the industry and recommended the owner of this hair salon to me. I reached out to her and she was very nice. The very first thing I emphasized was that I was looking to build a long standing relationship with a hair stylist. She had to refer me to one of her other stylists because she was fully booked for another month or two as I was looking for an appointment sooner than later. The first hair stylist she recommended me to then canceled on me the morning of due to an emergency. So then I was referred to a second hair stylist whom was brand new at the salon and I was her very first client there. She was fine and I let her know that I'd be in contact again in 1-2 months before my birthday. I texted her on Sunday and I haven't gotten a response from her at all. Meanwhile, she's posting on Instagram that she has open availability and her response time is 1-2 days. Coming from a customer service background where I also had to build my own clientele, I don't like that my time has once again been wasted and I'm back to finding a new hair stylist. I have gotten my eyebrows done with Mallory since she was at Benefit, and that's a loooong time!! I have followed her and will continue to stay with her because I ALWAYS get complements on my eyebrows! She uses a wax that is not thick and not harmful to the skin, which makes it not painful. If you want, she can draw in your eyebrows which I never do because I have thick eyebrows already. She has a great personality which is why she keeps her clients happy! Kim Gozon has been my hairstylist since 2014. I have been going to cHAIR since Kim moved here. She is the absolute best at listening about your desired cut/style and applying the latest techniques to make you look fabulous. The space itself is beautifully decorated. I went in for a long-overdue haircut in July - it had been 11 months. I, like many others, was holding off on a haircut due to covid-19. I was a bit apprehensive about going in at first, but Kim made me feel so safe and welcomed me into the space taking the utmost precautions. I waited in my car until my appt time, Kim took my temperature upon entering the salon and disinfected the washing station each time after I used it. We both wore masks and contactless payment was encouraged via Venmo. A day after my appt, salons were forced to shut down for a second time, but I know now that this salon will go the extra mile to make clients feel safe.
