I rented their mahogany folding chairs for my wedding. I had a great experience and I don't think they could have made it any easier. Based on my research, their prices were competitive and their website is informative and well organized. All I had to do was put in a reservation, pay $5 to reserve (that's it) and the balance was charged the day of my wedding on the credit card on file. The store staff was friendly, the delivery and pick-up was timely, and I emailed them a few times and their response time was less than a day, less than an hour really. I rented chairs, tables and umbrellas from Chairs for Affairs and was VERY pleased. The delivery and pickup were on time and they even set up the tables and umbrellas for no additional charge. The umbrellas were much nicer in person than in the picture and I couldn't have been happier. So I could only give them two stars at best because I arrived at my wedding not long before the ceremony was to begin to the news that the chairs had not arrived. My day-of-coordinator (DOC) was stressed to the max and my ceremony was delayed because we had to get the venue to set up the ugly grey metal folding chairs for my guests- the chairs I really didnt want- Finally my sister got through to these guys and to their credit she said the woman was very apologetic and in tears for the mix-up. I dont knwo what happened, but when they were finally on their way I heard the truck broke down - we were never notified. When they called my DOC suggested I tell them not to come, but I wanted the nicer chairs for my reception at the very least and felt they owed it to me to try to come anyway. They said they would give me a full refund and even pick up that night (I had planned on them picking up the next morning from a friends house). They did come that night and packed up all the chairs and even sent an apologetic no-excuses letter with a check for the full refund. Shit happens and I think they handled the disaster pretty well. Luckily I am not too much of a bride-zilla and rolled with the punches. I don't think I would call them for a wedding if it's super important to you, but if it's not the end of the world then I might even give them another chance since they made it as right as they could without a time machine in the end.... read more

Chose these guys based on the yelp reviews and proximity to my house. Boy, was I glad. Rented tables, chairs, table cloths, napkins, dinnerware, etc. for a bridal shower for 25 in my backyard. The office staff (Nikki and Terry I dealt with) were helpful, friendly and efficient. Nikki gave me lots of (desperately needed) advice about color scheme, table cloth size, length, how to decorate the tables, etc. In some cases, she even recommended products that were cheaper, because she said it was more suited to my event. The week of the event, I reduced some numbers (after I got my rsvps) and they were cheerful and polite about it. Their staff showed up on time to set up and take down. And the price was very reasonable! Can't say enough good things about this outfit. I just recommended them to a friend hosting a wedding for 150 in her yard. read more

their service is terrible! they drop off the chairs and tables late, they SCHEDULED it 8 in the MORNING they came 1:30 in the AFTERNOON Thursday. Then they picked it up Monday. Same thing, I called in the morning and was told they'll come in at 8-2:00 PM. I called again because its 2:30 in the AFTERNOON, the lady apologized i accepted her appology but i still want to talk to their manager. The MANAGER was RUDE! she even told me if I have circumstances I have to let her know. and she keeps on insisting that the pick up time has an open window of 8-5PM. I am upset because i have to pick up my kids from school and she's the one acting like she was upset due to the inconvenience! She even said that they can not control if the have additional order/events. So do they mean that i have to udjust my time for their business??!! ugghhh! so irritating!!! They gave me their time frame. There rental prices were very reasonable when compared to other companies; moreover, the delivery fees were inexpensive. Other companies wanted to charge me double to almost triple the delivery fee. My daughter just got married. Originally, we had hired Chairs for Affairs only for the chairs at the wedding site in the Redwoods. We had hired another company for the reception tableware (dishes, glassware, flatware, tablecloths, etc.). After a lot of frustration with the other company, my wife called Chairs for Affairs to see whether they also had all the items we needed for the reception. We were happy to discover that they did. Although my wife talked with several people at Chairs for Affairs, each person was completely up to date on the discussions my wife had had with anyone else in the company; almost no explanation was needed. All the items we ordered were beautiful and clean, and they were delivered and picked up on time. The invoice was exactly accurate (unlike with the other company). Each and every person was professional, kind, thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful beyond the call of "duty." I cannot recommend Chairs for Affairs highly enough! read more

I rented chairs for both my bridal shower and my wedding. Although the wrong chairs were given to us for the shower, they came and picked them up and brought the correct ones right away once we notices the mistake - so no harm done. Everything was for the wedding was perfect and on time including a square cake stand that I loved! Overall I was very pleased with the service I received and I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I will definately be renting from them again in the future. This is the second time I have used Bill's Chairs for Affairs and the experience was even better this time! We hosted a Rehearsal Dinner for 50 people for our daughter's wedding on August 17th. Working with Nikki, we must have called and changed the quantities, colors, items, etc. a half dozen times but each time, she was helpful and relaxed. (Even offered good advice when I asked her questions having nothing to do with rentals!) We rented everything from a margarita machine to chairs to linens to dinner service and it was all delivered on time and ready to go by two great guys. Pick up was prompt and efficient. The chairs were brand new, the linens pristine, they were right on time to deliver and right on time to pick up. On top of that, they asked if they could haul away my garbage and recycling. We went with Chairs For Affairs as our rental company for our wedding. We rented tables, chairs, tents, linens, plate - you name it, we rented it. They are getting 3 stars for a few reasons. The girls running the phones, one in particular, Bianca i think her name is, was very rude. One more than 1 occasion too. I talked to her multiple times and each conversation was not pleasant. She seemed bothered, didn't care, and NEVER followed through with what she said she would do. Thats a huge no-no when you have customers about to spend almost $2,000. My fiance and I had even had to make a special trip out there one Saturday in hopes of getting everything settled because we weren't making any progress over the phone. Then the day of our wedding came and we had multiple calls from the workers who could not find our picnic site, although it was stressed many, many times of the specific location. Also, we were told that they would set up our linens and such and they did not do that either. Just all in all, very frustrating/disappointing experience with them and I wish we had better things to say because our initial consultation with Terry was such a hit. read more
