I looked online for a while looking for themed party rentals. Some of the companies I found were either way too expensive and other companies were very affordable, however the products were poorly handmade and quality looked bad- and not presentable. I Finally found Chakoda Design (Charlene the owner) was very sweet and helpful! and her rental items are so realistic and presentable looking I wanted everything she rented!! she replied almost instantly when I had questions to ask her, which is very nice when you want to talk to a real person. She is very organized and such a great designer! I love all her work (very different and unique) something you don't see at your normal birthday parties. All of my guests loved her design setup and all her Alice in Wonderland themed party rentals!! my event was a sucess- I couldn't be happier my daughter will remember this birthday forever- I will most definately be renting from her again since she has so many different themes available: Candyland party rentals, Circus Carnival and so much more! I contacted Chakoda designs back in March when I was planning my daughter's mermaid theme party. I spoke to Charlene and she was extremely helpful. I let her know the theme, gave her ideas on more or less what I wanted, and she helped me put everything together. She even squeezed me in for the date that I needed her for, although she was already booked. I am very thankful that she was able to do that. Boy let me tell you, this women is AWESOME!! Within a few days she emailed me a list of props she would be using along with color scheme for the backdrop etc. I loved all her props they are so unique and everything is in awesome shape. She even showed up at my house the morning of the event at 5:30 A.M. to set up due to her being booked when I reached out to her. I met Charlene many years ago and she helped me finding the right interior paint combination for my living room area and hallway. Not only was she helpful and professional but I knew then she was an awesome person. Don't know how to explain it, but it is just something you know. Well a couple of years have passed and it was time to stain my backyard and give some colors to my patio furniture as well. I knew then I needed to contact Charlene again for her professional advice. Charlene was such a pleasure to work with! She is extremely responsive and amazing with follow-up even with my busy schedule. I love that Chakoda has such a large inventory of different themed props to choose from, and we were able to find all the props we needed for our event through one vendor. I appreciated that Charlene was able to pivot with us on delivery/pick-up days, and when she didn't have her team available, Charlene delivered the items we ordered herself! I came across this business while browsing the web. When I had my first phone conversation they were patient and understanding with my hearing impairment and explained their packages clearly. The rest of our communications were through email they responded quickly. Unfortunately the covid pandemic had fallen upon the time of our event they had no problem postponing the date ( 2 times!‍). My little one's big day finally came ! They emailed a few days before, at first I was a bit nervous when they stated there were a few changes but I fell in love with the outcome! Like a lot of other people this year we had to miss out on my son and daughter's promotions due to the quarantine. So I decided if they weren't able to have one at their school then I would throw them one by a "drive by" promotion :) . I wouldn't have been able to do it without Charlene and her decorative touch! I love the quality and professional of this company! Charlene was awesome! I was planning my daughters 3rd birthday party and all I had to do was tell her my ideas of colors and theme and she put together a package to fit my budget and it was perfect for our party! The theme was ice cream & donuts and I was having a lot of small children. She included these light weight props that the kids could pick up (ice cream cones) and pose with! When I visited California, Chakoda Design helped me with some Moana themed pictures for my daughter. We brought the costume and Charlene provided a creative background and fun props to bring the scene to life. My daughter enjoyed the experience and felt very comfortable with Charlene's direction as she helped her with poses and she even went as far as having the Moana soundtrack playing in the background to help with the mood of the photo shoot.
