Very nice staff and pretty decent food. They recommend a reservation but we were able to get in without an issue. Had the crab dip for an appetizer and the salmon for dinner. The crab dip was pretty good and the salmon was well done. Pictures posted of the menu since there were none on here already.

Swordfish with slab of butter, carrots, squash, and potatoes. Nasty.

The other people who have eaten here must have entered the food under the wrong restaurant. There's a reason this place is empty every night. It's not that it's a bad location, the food is terrible and one of the worst meals I've eaten in my life. I threw it up in the parking lot. I had the Swordfish which was the "fish of the day" with butter herb, carrots, potatoes, and squash. The swordfish arrived with a slab of cold butter on it. The swordfish wasn't warm enough to melt the butter, which doesn't make sense as the fish itself was overcooked except for the almost frozen part in the middle. The fish itself was drenched in butter (but the slab on top hadn't melted yet) and basically inedible. The potatoes were like eating wet sand, the carrots were drenched in oil (judging by the sludge underneath them), but the squash was nice. Since i can't give less than one star, you get one star for squash. Go to McDonald's, avoid at all costs.

My husband was skeptical as there were no other guests but it was so amazing!!!! I wish more people knew about this place. The server is such a delight, the food is mild, refresh and soothing. It's not salty/hardy. Nice and light. The specials were great. Definitely will be back!!

Food and service is always superb...never have had a bad dinner. My sister and brother in law from the mainland say it is the best.

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the stuffed mushroom caps appetizer. The Chefs Pasta entree was also excellent.

Excellent food and service. The portions are good and the slant is French. Of course reservations are a good choice.

Great place for foodies. Small so make a reservation. A nice addition to the restaurants in Parksville.

You order from the kitchen at the counter and they bring to food out to you. The case looked to be full of tasty treats and reasonably priced. K had the skillet which came with toast that was so good. The skillet itself contained a good amount of food that was very nicely cooked. My bacon and eggs came with a choice of hash browns or toast. I chose the has browns and added a side of sourdough. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon nice and crispy as specified, along with a slice of tomato and some fresh basil which was a nice touch. My London Fog left a little to be desired, but that was but a small blemish in an otherwise excellent breakfast/brunch! If you are in Parksville I'd heartily recommend the Brazen Poppy Bakery Cafe. We'll be stopping on our way to Victoria tomorrow for sure.

Opting for the Basted Basic, you can't mess up a solid plate including a nicely sized biscuit, a good portion of bacon, perfectly poached eggs and freshly mashed avocado. Wifey enjoyed her eggs benny, while my son was just happy to receive a squishy pig toy with his Piglet Pack (kids meal). They also have so baked sweet or savory pastries to go as well. There is both limited internal and outdoor seating, so I could imagine how packed it can be at peak hours. Order at the counter, and they'll deliver your items, and bus your own table (one of the workers graciously offered to do it for us).

First visit we bought shrimp cakes. You know if you don't mix jello enough, there's a layer of thick rubber at the bottom? That's the consistency of the shrimp cakes. The next time I asked if the crab cakes were any different, and she said if you don't like the consistency of the shrimp cakes, you're not going to like the consistency of the crab cakes. Second visit was for halibut. Not fresh, but apparently flash frozen and cut the same day as it is sold. Was extremely watery, so...... Third visit is a charm - or not! Fresh sockeye salmon for $27.99 a pound. They were not deboned so I spent half an hour deboning four fillets. Of the four, one still had a section of bone attached to the side which had to be trimmed. One fillet had a large section of fat that had to be trimmed. There goes about $6.
