Kids BBQ Chicken Bowl Pancit and Lumpia Plate
    Angie B.

Decent because it's close to me but definitely not anywhere close to the best I've had. Everything needs more flavor. It was all pretty flat. BBQ chicken meat was good but needed a sauce of some sort. Pancit ok. Rice was kind of soggy. Lumpia best part. Mac salad was awful. It seemed like it was in ice or something and the ice melted and made the mac salad watery. Service was great. Everyone was very nice there. Plenty of seating. Smaller, busy parking lot. Likely will not return unless I am really hankering for some lumpia.

    3 Piece Empanada

Service A+. Inside was standard, not fancy Food was good. Got the mix plate (Normally $18.95) with bbq short ribs (add $2) and bbq chicken. Red rice and mac salad. Meat was delicious. Mac salad was great (wish I had gotten more) rice was a little mushy. Also got an order of empanadas (3 for $9.95) and while they were hot...they tasted a little like a frozen taquito. I probably wouldn't order them again. Overall I would come back.

I've never ordered/eaten here. This review is just for the food ordered as a vendor at the Guam fest. It's pretty pricey and small portions. I ordered 2 plates: rib/chicken with added kelaguen and the bbq chicken plate. The bbq chicken was pretty good and flavorful. Their rib has a nice char but not burnt. Their cucumber salad was very refreshing. Their kelaguen just wasn't hitting. It wasn't bad but I've had better. Would like to try ordering directly from the restaurant and giving it another try since I don't want to base my review solely on a food festival since I know those can be more chaotic and you're not in the comfort of a kitchen.

BBQ Short Rib and Pork Rib Plate

Chamorro grill is a great barbecue spot with great meats and great people! There's seating in the restaurant and you go up to the counter to order and find a table. The menu has a lot of options but I went with the short ribs and pork ribs with red rice and Mac salad. The Mac salad was pretty standard, worked well with the barbecued meats. The red rice was on the wetter side, and lightly flavored to pair well with the meats as well! Highly recommend getting over regular rice. The pork ribs were good - not fall off the bone, but also had some bite to it which textually worked well! It also came with a sweet soy type sauce that packed a massive flavor punch! Very good!! Short ribs were by far the best thing, grilled perfectly and were very tender. Highly recommend!

    Chamorro deliciousness.

I ordered the spare ribs, short ribs, chicken kelaguen, and kadun manuk, and everything was absolutely incredible--I couldn't wait to get home to scarf it down. The Chamorro BBQ is standout because it isn't overly sweet like other types.

    Lower prices circled

BUYER BEWARE - The Menu hung up in their window displays prices that are lower than what they charge you. On 1/12/26 Matt rung us up and we noticed that the prices were different than the menu we looked at outside through their window. When we brought it to his attention, his said no worries but he didn't know how to change the system to adjust the prices so he called for help. When the lady from the kitchen came out (didn't catch her name, but she was an older brunette) she was SO incredibly rude and condescending saying that they didn't have to honor the prices in their menu and they have a new menu on order. When I mentioned that I was pretty confident they should have to honor the prices, she dismissed it entirely and scoffed saying that the "Food and Beverage Department already okayed it." What a joke. A simple sorry for the mistake would have sufficed.

Loco Moco and Chicken Keleguen Musubi
    Ashley C.

I really wanted to try the food here during our visit to San Diego, but this wasn't near any of our other stops so I thought we wouldn't get to try it. But DoorDash to the rescue! We ordered the chicken kelaguen musubi and the loco moco plate. Everything was packaged so nicely, and they were very generous with the vinegar sauce which was delicious with the musubi! The red rice was cooked to perfection. The musubi is hefty too, and you get two per order. If you eat both it's basically a full meal! The loco moco had plenty of gravy and the meat was not dry at all. Even the eggs were still runny which can typically come overcooked when you're ordering delivery! I liked that you could pick a side with your loco moco, but just wish I could've tried both the macaroni salad and cucumbers. I am glad we chose the cucumbers though because it added a nice freshness in between bites of the heavy musubi and loco moco. Such a delicious meal, which is saying a lot when you're having it through delivery for the first time!

Chamorro Grill is renowned for its island-style BBQ, featuring marinated meats grilled to perfection. Signature dishes include BBQ chicken, beef short ribs, and pork ribs, often accompanied by traditional sides like red rice and pancit. The chicken kelaguen--a citrus-marinated shredded chicken dish--is a standout, offering a tangy and refreshing flavor. Other popular items are spam musubi, lumpia, and macaroni salad.

    Lechon Kawali
    Cheerly C.

Grabbed lunch here with a friend and found parking out front. Place was quiet and empty on a Thursday afternoon but a few people coming in for take out. The lady taking our order was very sweet. I ordered the Lechon Kawali plate which came with two scoops of rice and a side (Macaroni Salad). The lechon was crispy and you get a good amount of it. The dip was slightly sweet and wasn't too bad but I'm a spicy person so I tried their special bottled sauce. Couldn't really taste too much despite the sauce having multiple ingredients but still better than no sauce. The macaroni salad was decent, not as flavorful as I wanted it to be but it wasn't dry. They also had water and water cups on a table if you didn't purchase a drink. Overall, the whole experience was not too bad. I would like to go back for the Lechon again. My friend ordered their pork ribs and beef and the meat were pretty dry for my liking.

    Pork rib supposedly

Okay I'm done! What happened to this place! Horrible! Got a replacement mix combo plate since my "half" ribs were inedible. Again ends and cut in half and inedible dry!!! Just take the pork ribs off your menu please it's a disgrace to the Chamorro community. I don't know if ownership changed again but it's just not worth it anymore. Please see all the photos. I spoke with Ana in December and she was kind and said I had a comp meal when I decide to return. Called today and whoever was working the register (probably the owner) said my name was no longer on the board but still honored it ( which was nice... At first) She obviously didn't believe me and questioned me multiple times. I was ready and had alll the photos ready for her. She asked me "Did you eat them right away" and I said no I couldn't eat them! They were burnt and more dry than jerky." I was so annoyed that she had to tell me They now cut their ribs in half and she wanted me to look inside the box. Thinking since she was replacing a bad meal she wouldn't replace it with another one. NOPE! Ribs were ridiculous. Must have been sitting alll day or even from yesterday. Please post updated pictures of your food because it's false advertising! Truly misleading! Please tell me when there is food quality control at this place I'll be driving to Smack n Guamanian!

Good, but didn't blow me out of the water. The beef was a little fatty. It reminds me of Ono Hawaiian BBQ.

Scanned the QR code on the big banner from the outside and checked out their menu. Saw lumpia and thought it was a Filipino spot). Saw they had a happy hour menu and decided to check it out before our movie. The vibe we really cute and played reggae music. It was a relaxing, chill atmosphere with lots of tvs. The server, Jaz was really nice, friendly and very hospitable. She spoke of their Guamanian food, heritage and community. They've been in the current spot for the last 7 or 8 months, so fairly new, but were down the street for many years before that. We ordered 2 different kinds of BBQ chicken wings. Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory. First time having Guamanian food and we're stoked we tried it! All in all, great food and awesome service! If you've never tried it before...put it on your list! You won't regret it!

We started off with the chicken kelaguen which had the perfect amount of flavor and tanginess with the red rice staple. I do wish I got more rice in the chicken to rice ratio, but it was good regardless. Shortly after we got our empanadas (the whole reason I wanted to go here). I had been craving them for weeks and it didn't disappoint. The filling was the delicious and the crust was perfectly crunchy. We then shared the Guam bomb which was a pretty decently sized plate. I appreciated how crunchy the fries were, especially since the amount of sauce on top could have easily made them soggy very quickly. I do wish there was a little more meat but it tasted yummy nonetheless. Our absolute favorite part of the meal was desert. The banana donuts! It came with 4 which was perfectly paired with strawberry ice cream. Overall, super duper happy with another visit to this amazing spot! Hopefully we'll catch them at PIFA San Diego this year

There was four of us arriving about 1230 and one more a little later. We asked the young server for recommendations, but he didn't have any and he couldn't really explain the menu and options. We ordered the BBQ Mix, BBQ Chicken and BBQ Pork Ribs. Unfortunately it was all very dry, and the red rice was served at room temperature. Two of my friends barely touched their food and I was sorry that it wasn't a good experience for them. When our fifth person arrived, they recommended that she doesn't order and that we would find a place where they serve sandwiches and dessert. I took the leftover red rice and I'm hoping that when I warm it up, it will taste much better. It was as if the food was cooked the day before or maybe earlier in the day and just sitting there. I think it would've been a better experience if the food was cooked upon order. It came out really quick so I am assuming that it was cooked previously. I was disappointed that my friends did not like the food at all. I thought that it tasted OK, but it was just really dry and barely warm.
