Food: Picked up some food for my parents and I and it was delicious! Service: I had issues finding the location and I think it was due to Apple Maps messing up. I eventually found it and when I got there, I met KuJo and he was SUPER nice and down to earth. That alone won me over as a future repeat customer. My favorite spot for Filipino food. Everything is hot and fresh and portion sizes are huge. The only meat option you can select that isn't massive is a skewer, but theyre worth it. They smoke them directly outside and they're packed with flavor. Today I ordered a K2 plate with half rice and. Half pancit, lechon, and a bbq pork skewer. Every plate also comes with a cup of their sinigang soup (which you may need to remind them to give you). Ambiance could use improvement but this place is authentic and not trying to be anything boujie. Service is nothing to be excited about. How is the Halo Halo, one of the featured popular dishes? The majority of it was filled with: Red Beans, Sweet Beans, and Gulaman. There were two pieces each of Saging Sa Saba and Kaong. For $10, it isn't worth the money. There was a small Turo Turo, with a decent size seating area. Happy to see Lolo and Lola working behind the counter doing their best to provide the service they could. This was my first time trying Kujo Eats and it was average Filipino food. We came around 11AM and ended up getting the 2 entree with garlic rice. We chose longanisa and lechon kalawi for the entrees. We were able to get a small scoop of garlic rice until they ran out and filled our plate with regular white rice. We also got fresh bbq skewers. Our plate came with a complimentary cup of sinigang which was nice. The bbq skewers were our favorite, they were big, juicy and delicious and would definitely get again! The rest of the food was decent and a bit cold and didn't seem fresh. Also, I love my sinigang sour but this was REAL sour lol. Service was good and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Wanted to try this spot after watching a TikTok and man it was soo delicious! The owner attended us and he was super nice, really down to earth! The ambience felt very family like and friendly! My group was deciding on where to grab dinner, and one of the friends, Faith D., suggested coming here for a kamayan feast as many of us have never had nor heard of it before aside from the one who suggested it, me and Srey Y. The friend who suggested it said this restaurant does it best! It's located at the end of the Nordan Plaza next to a cafe and a thrift store on E 8th St in National City. There's a huge open parking lot with ample stalls. Upon entering the lot, my boyfriend and I were kind of confused if we were in the correct area because the area seemed dead which made sense as all the other places were closed and there were only two food joints at the corner of the plaza. Prior to coming, Faith made a reservation through their online form where she had to fill out the things we would like to have at our kamayan feast. The base pay is $49.95 per adult that included steamed rice, pansit, pork lumpiang shanghai, 2 seasonal fruits, 2 seasonal vegetables, tomato/onion salsa, sauces, and four selections of menu item. Additional items were $5 more per person. There were menu item upgrades as well. We had a total of five items with one being an upgrade item: pork kare kare, fried tilapia, BBQ chicken skewers, pork longanisa, and additional lechon kawali. Upon arrival, the workers were laying everything on banana leaves, and we had to eat with our hands, which was the traditional way. The feast was beautifully laid out (peep at pics)! We couldn't wait to feast! And everything was delicious! We all kept eating as much as we could with happy, content faces. My personal favorites were the lumpia, BBQ chicken skewers, and pork longanisa. The workers also provided a variety of sauces, some upon request, to use to dip our foods. After our kamayan dinner, we all decided to get a halo-halo as well as some of the group have never had it before. We could have added it to our kamayan feast for another $5 per person, but we realized it would be way too much food. My boyfriend and I shared a mini which was $5, the same price as if we were to add on. A huge plus was the availability of singing karaoke! The owner, Joel Soriano, was so kind to us and allowed us to sing karaoke while we waited for our feast to be prepared and after we finished. Probably because there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant when we went to annoy, haha! But thanks to Joel for the amazing service! I've been here multiple times throughout the years and it's always a great experience. From getting Halo-Halos (love the option to add ice cream) to getting some food combos to dine in (the pompano is so good), to placing orders for lumpia trays, they're really wonderful. My friend Carolyn and I went over the weekend and we had such a great experience. We came around 11 am, so there was some breakfast options like longaniza and tortang talong (eggplant that's been friend with egg), my eyes were definitely larger than my stomach because we both ordered a three item combo. I chose white rice and for my mains I had lechon, sisig and tortang talong, we did get complimentary singang broth (sabaw). The service was so friendly and they are very gracious with their portions, they packed the container with so much sisig and my plate with lechon! First, the sinigang, was super flavorful and was sour and bright, it was perfect! The sisig, oh my god, was probably one of the better ones I've had in a really long time, you can taste every thing in it, sometimes when you get sisig elsewhere the flavors muddle together but theirs was just really good. My only issue was that the lechon was a little cold and wished it was a bit more tender but it was served with Manong Thomas so I was happy. I did eat it later and my friend Carolyn actually made sisig with it when she got home. We weren't finished yet, we ended up getting MINI halo-halo. I like that they had that as an option because the large would have been too big. The mini halo halo was perfect, I got it with ube ice cream with a scoop of mais queso ice cream on the side. I came here for Halo-Halo during lunch hours with my friend. I grew up in this area and it was called Erlinda's/ Conching's before. Now there is a new owner and his name is Joel! He actually served me and my friend our Halo-Halo. He was so kind and invited us to come back and try the new improved food of his restaurant. I even asked for 2 ice cream flavors and he was able to offer it to us. I'm always a sucker for Filipino food so I think I will definitely be coming back! Chicken adobo was so salty, while the monggo as well as the shrimp with squash had absolutely no flavor.
