The deep tissue massage was great, Judy really worked the areas I asked her to focus on. I have been going to Champa Thai for several years now. If you just want a relaxing massage this is a great place to go. If like me you struggle with pinched nerves from strenuous activities this is an even better plan to go! I recently got a pinched nerve in my neck that went all the way to my fingers. The pain was incredible. Unfortunately I was going out of town for several Days. I tried everything, shots Thai massage, massage guns and injections. Nothing helped As soon as I returned I went to see Judy. She massaged my neck on down to my fingers tracking the nerve. I felt a huge difference by the time I left and am much better the next day. My first massage with Judy was excellent. She did everything I asked - deep tissue etc. Based off of this, I unfortunately bought a pack of massages. All my subsequent massages with Judy, Nan and Mariana just fell short. If I asked Judy and Nan to focus on my neck and upper back, they'd spend half the time on my legs. Nan and Mariana had some strange way of massaging you while laying on your side - super uncomfortable and definitely not relaxing. Also when I asked for deep tissue, inevitably I got back walking, stretching, joint pulling etc. Finally I got good at stopping them but should I really have to keep reminding them during a session? I actually got hurt after sessions with Nan and Judy. My finger joints have not recovered for 2 months since being pulled on and my hip got pulled out too and took a month to recover. Now all the ladies are super nice, so I was reluctant to give a bad review, but honestly, I couldn't even finish my pre-paid package. I was tired of getting hurt and not feeling better. Thai massage is definitely not my thing - I can't handle it - it feels heavy handed and rough. Maybe this kind of massage works for others. So unfortunately, I have to give my honest opinion, which is that the massages could have been better. However, I am recognizing that some may like this style of massage but my personal of preference is not. Like I said, the ladies are super nice, making appointments is super easy - even last minute and if you want to pay for a package, you can get a massage for a really great deal. ** Mask required ** When my husband and I go for a massage we usually get a 90 min or 2 hour massage. We like to treat ourselves once in a while and this is it, a good massage. Unfortunately, we were only able to get a 1hour massage. This was our first time to this location and 1 hour was not enough! Right away we were greeted by a friendly employee. They did have a shield guard at the register, and employees were wearing masks. The room was cozy and thankfully, I didn't hear the busy street traffic. The business next door was either closed for the day or temporary closed due to the pandemic. This made for a peaceful massage. The techniques and pressure used on my feet and back were perfect! My masseuse checked with me occasionally if the pressure was good. I find this important. Although the location is not convenient for us, I know I would love to return. Overall a great experience. The location is quite random but there's plenty of parking. They seem to have regular customers (heard from the people who were leaving), and cost is considerably less to several places we had called. We went for a room with two beds. The beds were a lot lower in height compared to what we're used to. I still prefer the comfort provided by higher beds. The therapist really squeezed out the knots I had. It was super painful at the time but felt so good after! The only two downsides I have is that the tiger balm made my entire body cold. I'd recommend asking for another blanket next time. The therapist massaging me was fine but the other therapist was talking quite a bit which made it harder to just close my eyes and drift off. read more

I get massages few times a month - probably one of my worst experiences unfortunately. Maybe it was the masseuse I got. I had to ask her literally 6x do do it harder and after that I just decided to wait till it ended. I drove here from Escondido because of the reviews and it was definitely not worth it. Felt like someone was just rubbing be up and down. They don't do your back with a foot massage which I thought was different and it's pricier then most at $40. The yelp check in of 100$ can't be used unless each person spends that much which they told me afterwards. They didn't honor it. I have been to numerous Thai massages by now to have a fair comparison, and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best Thai massages in San Diego (best price for sure). My husband and I had a couple's massage. The owner is very knowledgeable and definitely worked on my shoulder as I had informed her to focus on it. My husband also had a very good therapist who worked on his knots. The only down side is that it's far away from where we live, or else would definitely make this our routine visit! Zero stars. RIPOFFS!!!! Schedule an appointment online through their website for my husband and myself on April 16th at 1 pm. Paid online via my credit card. When we arrived they did not have us on the schedule and did not have a masseuse for us. We were told we could come back, however we couldn't since our schedule was full for the rest of the day. Just finished a 90 minute with May! She's so GOOD! She's got great feet and hands. I love when she walks on my back, she has the perfect size feet, and can feel where tension is.
