Horrible, horrible horrible. When I come, I look for deep tissue I have some serious knots and the guy was just rubbing me. That is the most irritating thing that you can do when someone is looking for relief of pain and let me tell you something. I am 100% tipper I literally give the tip of what I pay for the service because I know the hard work deep tissue is I will not be coming back here. I don't know how this place has four stars. I guess the people that come here like to be rubbed down. I also didn't mention three different times if he can use more pressure. What he did do is kept yawning like he was tired. When you walk in, the waiting area is small and plain. There was only one chair but he brought out another one. The prices were visible and reasonable. The people were very nice. The reason for the 3 star is I have mixed emotions on the actual massage. I had a couples massage with my husband. The masseuse's never gave us their names and never asked any questions before the massage (injuries, relaxing or deep tissue, etc). The massage started out over the sheet and was very relaxing. Then they pulled the sheet down and used oil. There was no scent to the oil and no relaxing music or anything. It started fine then became a deep tissue massage. The masseuse was interrupted with a phone call for an appointment, left the room a couple times , answered a ringing phone call while massaging me. I believe they switched masseuses at some point but my head was down. Most of the massage felt good. The part that was uncomfortable and not relaxing was the rough, pounding elbow next to my spine. I feel bruised and very sore today (the next day). They tried using the hot stones but the person massaging me couldn't even pick them up and kept dropping them next to my head. Once they put it on my back, it was still too hot. I've always wanted to try hot stones but this wasn't a great experience. I did enjoy the stretching at the end. Also a plus was the massage was a full 90 minutes. Other places I've gone to have you undress and dress within the 90 minutes. I'm not sure if I will go back. If I do I will let them know I want a relaxing massage not a deep tissue massage. Another plus, they did get the knots out in my shoulder blades. I decided to do it and get a hour massage. This was not my first one but was one of the best. Mayami was so good that my wife book another one right there. I do not recommend this place. The girl I had was terrible. There is no way she is a trained and licensed masseuse. Half the full body massage was over a sheet, a hard scratchy sheet. 99% of the massage was with her elbow, forearm and knuckles. She barely used her fingers or hands. It seemed like she had watched a few YouTube videos on technique and the tried them on me, no actual skill. Elbow into the bottom of your foot is not soothing or comfortable. The staff was courteous, polite. It's just a few doors over from a wonderful nail salon called Rendezvous Nails. It's kitty corner from San Marcos High School and in the same shopping center as CVS. So I am on a two day aura migraine. Every muscle in my body hurts and I feel like I could pull my hair out. It's been bad. Typical for me, but this one has been a doozy. I called a couple places in San Marcos and they couldn't get me in and then I remembered this place is right next to my nail salon so I thought let me try this. Very nice man is at the door, and I don't tell him the whole grueling story but I just say I have a headache and I need an hour neck and head massage. And he can. I'm completely stoked because I am ready to die. Go straight into a very clean room and in walks a tiny woman with the kindest face. She starts my massage and this angel is heaven sent straight for me. She was perfect. The best massage I've ever had. She rubbed muscles on my body. I didn't even know that I had. For somebody so small she was so strong and it is exactly what I needed. She used her arms, hands, elbows, knees. Never have I ever had a massage this great. You could definitely tell wherever this lady went to massage school, she had to graduate top of her class. Absolutely magical. Like mind blown. I've been to a few other massage places, and I thought they were good. This place, this woman blew it out of the ballpark. If you are looking for a massage, ask for Sun. I'm not kidding and I'm not exaggerating. Phenomenal. I asked for an hour. I actually got another half an hour added on because it was so good. I didn't want it to stop.
