Tucked away in a quiet plaza close to Lake San Marcos, I immediately felt cozy & welcoming vibes here. A huge plus is that there's ample parking too, which made the experience of coming here great right off the bat. I personally hate going to a new massage place only to find out that parking is really difficult.. I'm trying to destress, not stress out more! Haha The place is really clean & smells good. During my first time here, I was blessed to have Jojo as my masseuse. She is incredibly knowledgeable about anatomy & specializes in deep tissue massage, so I left feeling like a million bucks. She was able to truly solve all my physical issues, but also give me great suggestions + feedback. To top it all off, she was so sweet too, which only made me even more happy & comfortable. I have been coming here for years, and I recently realized I have never written a review. This massage studio is located at the main entrance to Lake San Marcos in an unassuming row of offices where there is ample parking. When you enter, you will be warmly greeted by the owner who will take your payment and guide you to one of their clean and quiet rooms where you will be attended to by an equally welcoming and friendly massage therapist. My preference is a relaxing style of massage rather than shiatsu or "deep-tissue", but they all have their own techniques which they will adjust to fit your needs. Massages are 30, 60 or 90 mins for a very reasonable price: $30, $60 or $90. If you prefer, you can start with a short massage and return, to try a different person until you find the perfect massage to fit your needs. In any case, do yourself a favor and give them a try. I am SO SO glad that I found this place. It's a hidden gem in Lake San Marcos community. I called earlier to ask for an appointment and was able to get one on the same day. I was greeted by Ms. Li and she was very nice, she took my payment (please know that there is a $3 extra charge for paying with a credit card) I guess I will bring cash or a check there so the masseuse can get more tips As I was ready for the session, Mary who was my masseuse came in with her mask on. The whole time I was in a very calm, relaxing mood. She definitely knows her job well and where my pain spots are and how to massage them to alleviate the pain and tension. Had my first massage there. Mary has great hands and touch. Really targeted my sore muscles and was kind and professional.

I have a real problem with plantar fascia and so I thought I would go there to get a foot massage. I don't know if my foot feels better, but my body feels great. I'll know more in the morning. But even though I was in like this lumpy chair I got a back rub and a shoulder rub and a neck rub and a foot massage and she massaged up my leg and it was awesome. We used to go to Oriental Oasis regularly before Covid-19. We recently returned and were so impressed by their protocols and cautious practices. The two therapists are extremely careful. The massages that my husband and I had were excellent just as we remembered and have been dreaming about for the last 7 months! The therapists are concerned about their own health, and are taking the greatest measures to keep everyone safe. We were really pleased. I was not pleased and will not be going back. Here is a summary: 1) asks for payment before service. Never had that one before. 2. Why bother asking what I want to focus on when only doing their standard routine. I was skiing and my quads and hamstring were rock solid. I asked for focusing on my legs. I had to interrupt her and ask to do legs after she ignored them for the first 30mins 3. They don't do deep tissue. I asked. They said they do, but it was not even close. It was a more good feel petting with occasional massage 4. That becomes weird now... she started off stroking along the spine and going down to my anus. I had to stop her the second time. Also when she put oil and spread it, she pulled down the covers well bellow my butt and even after she finished massaging the lower area she made no attempt to comet me up. Other places they only expose the minimum and cover up back if more is needed. Throughout the entire massage I found her very touchy in areas that she shouldn't. I found this massage place from the get 1 coupon book. I looked at a few reviews in the book and they were pretty bad except Oriental Oasis. The get 1 book has a 60 min massage for $39.99. I figured why not give it a try. I literally called for an appt., and was in the room within 30 mins. I even requested Linda as many yelpers suggested. I was asked to pay first, although not typical, I didn't mind. I guess they may have had experiences where people couldn't or didn't want to pay after they received services. It doesn't bother me since I'm going to pay anyways. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and smell nice. Linda was very friendly and had good communication about what areas I wanted her to concentrate on, and even the pressure I liked. She was also informative on what types of oils they use. I believe it was a type of avocado oil. It was nice and light, wasn't overpowering and did not feel greasy. Overall I enjoyed my massage and was very relaxed. I would definitely come back to this place more often. There aren't any frills, but does the trick when you are on a budget. read more

Oriental Oasis Massage had a very clean facility and were able to accommodate my last minute request for a 90 minute massage. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My only issue is that I like very deep tissue and it's hard for me to find someone who knows the body well and can consistently work deep into the muscle; I will say that at least the massage was fluid vs. jerky. I might try Oriental Oasis one more time and see if I can get someone who does a deeper massage. read more

Prices are great and the facility appeared clean. Kind of awkward that they didn't introduce themselves or ask what kind of massage wanted, they just showed us to the room and started the massage. This is different from what I'm used to and I love it! When I first came in, the lady at the cash register asked me to pay first, including tip. I was skeptical because I didn't even get my massage and they were already asking me to front the money! But I let it happen and besides, this is the cheapest I've had to pay (in the States) for an hour. When the lady came in to start she asked if I wanted light, medium, or hard-also unusual! Initially, I wanted it hard and when she started on my neck, it was a little painful (but I was really really tense). As she continued, she did very well and I started to feel limber all over. I liked that my masseuse spent most of the time on my back, as requested. The place was very tidy. Price was AMAZING and although there are a few different things from the other massage places I've been to, I felt way better afterwards. This was the least pleasant massage I've ever had in my 20+ years of getting massages. I've had Sweedish massage, Shiatsu, Rolfing and many other types, and this type was being treated like a piece of meat. When I arrived, the woman didn't introduce herself but wanted me to have a longer massage and pay up front. Then, walking to the room, I introduced myself, she finally said she was Lucy and gave a fish-like handshake. I went into the room, got ready for the massage, and another person walked in to massage me. She never knocked first. She never introduced herself. She never spoke a word, except when I asked her to be more gentle. Most of the massage was just her running her hands up and down the sides of my spine, then one part of my legs, and then one part of my arms. Occasionally there was some knuckle use and forearm use which felt like Rolfing. At one time the woman even got on the bed and straddled my back to massage me. There was nothing improper, but it did raise my awareness. Moving my arms and legs I was treated like a piece of meat. Nothing gentle or considerate. Occasionally I was karate chopped. The woman seemed to have little to no idea of anatomy or procedure. She was completely insensitive to what she was doing. At the end, after returning to the front door, the woman who never introduced herself waited for a tip. I was polite and said thank you and that the tip was on the table. She didn't say anything like "You're welcome," or "We hope to see you again," or anything. She just turned around to go get her tip. There were no other customers there when I was there as far as I could tell. My impression was they have no training, and don't need the business. I've never written such a review, but I've also never had such an unusual experience getting a massage. Since they don't seem to want business, I would suggest to anyone wanting a massage to go somewhere else. read more

Had a great deep tissue massage with Jesse today. I have been feeling pretty stressed lately and her deep kneading pressure helped to work out a few knots. I especially enjoyed the time in my shoulders, neck, and head. I wish she didn't use her arms as much as she did - would have enjoyed so much more if it was mostly hands but hey it was pretty great regardless. $49 for 1 hour. Place is quiet and clean. I was very disappointed to have message oil on half my body when I paid for a full body message. Basically they used body oil and message on my back body and spent 5 min rubbing the front of legs over a towel. My whole body was needing an oil message.
