I received excellent service from Champion Air Conditioning & Heating. I originally had another larger AC service company come out and do a complete inspection on my system for $45. When the inspection was done they told me I needed my entire system replaced. I called Champion to get a second opinion. They came out that same day and inspected my system at no cost to me and told me that I just had a TINY refrigerant leak. The other AC company said I was extremely low on refrigerant, which was not the case. Champion recommended a dye and recharge on the system and I my AC unit has been running MUCH more efficient ever since. Champion AC was honest and that's what I wanted from a service company. I recently needed my AC system relocated so I called a number of companies to get estimates. The estimates I received ranged from $1,000 to $10,000, including one company that literally suggested I throw away my "old" 7-year old perfectly functional system because it would cost me more to move it than to install a new system. Champion Air was one of the most affordable quotes I received, and James' explanation of the work was so well put together and professional that I tried them out. Needless to say I am very satisfied. They got the work done in record time and not only does my AC installation look better than before (ducts between rafters instead of hanging, better drainage including a new pan for overflows, a new intake and a new register) but it works much better. Before I would have a significant variation in temperature across the building. Now that variation was cut by more than half. Highly recommended. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! the day before they were to install a new ac unit they texted me to say they were waiting on a part but they would schedule it for the next day. Got another message from Champion saying they ordered an incompatible unit so they had to order another one which would now take another week. I have been without ac going on 5 weeks of unbearable heat so another week was devastating for me. After a nasty call from Cynthiya and Chris, they went to the owner and told them I was rude and they refused to do the work which put my tenancy in jeopardy, I don't consider this "family friendly" service, more like disturbingly irresponsible and untrustworthy. Our new go-to company for AC & heating. The furnace motor quit working right before a heatwave, rendering us without AC. Thomas came in to diagnose the situation and gave us a fair price to replace the ECM motor. We requested to have the part overnighted and Thomas came over this afternoon to install it. Thomas was professional, friendly and gave us tips to maintain our unit. He even brought in a scraper mat to protect our carpet while he worked!! A previous company we hired (2 yrs ago), didn't bother with a mat and even left our hose running. We could not be more impressed and pleased with the level of service we received from Thomas. I know that it is stressful choosing a heating and air company. You have to trust them to make expensive repairs, be honest, punctual, and do quality work. When my air conditioning broke during the hottest week of the year, I was very pregnant, very hot, very emotional, and to top it off, my husband was a combat deployed Marine in the Middle East. Every company I called told me it would be a week or more before they could even get out to diagnose the issue. The receptionist for Champion heard the futility and stress in my voice, and even though they were booked solid, promised to do her best to get me in if there was time that freed up. Within an hour, she called me back and had me in the schedule for two days later. Rejoice! Joel and Shane and their techs did every possible thing to make the repair go quickly and at the most economical cost to me. In the end, the work I needed done was extensive and pricy, but I never felt like they were taking advantage of me, and I feel like I got every penny in value. Curtis came out to my parents house at the Meadows in East County to take a look at their air conditioning unit on May 30, 2018 What a great guy - he really knows what he is doing and even found out that the wires to the Fan and Air had been crossed. I've been a customer of Champion for the past couple of years for mostly annual maintenance and to fix some minor problems. Recently I had my gas furnace on the blink and I called them up again. Shane did some troubleshooting and corrected the problem but noted that was likely to fain again. After he left and spoke to the owner they recommended I get a new one. I was very concerned about having to shell out thousands of dollars but Shane was able install a mid-level furnace at a very reasonable price (and were able to do it the following morning). I had my 20+ year old AC and furnace recently replaced by Champion. Mine was a very difficult job as my old furnace was in a very small space above the master bedroom closet. My closet organizer had to be removed to gain access to the attic; they took it down and reassembled it for me, even sending out a drywall guy to repair the access hole (the other Company's I got quotes from, where going to leave all that extra work up to me to take care of). I'm in an inside Townhome, without a side walkway to the street, they took my old AC unit out my back gate and through a neighbors yard for me, all with a great attitude! Joel and his team worked extremely hard to both get the old furnace out and the new one installed; working diligently for 2 days. They have great communication between the crew members and were always friendly, polite and kept me informed along the way. They were very conscientious about keeping everything clean (and I'm very picky), putting drop clothes down everywhere and even swept and tidied up the work area after the 1st day, and swept and vacuumed when the job was done the 2nd day. They left everything the way they found it!! So rare these days!! Champion (Tom and team) installed new duct work in our attic this past July and removed the old existing duct work. They did an excellent job, were on time, and were very considerate of our home; also were very attentive in cleaning up after themselves. Fast forward 3 months and we had a small issue, we turned on the A/C one day and a small amount of insulation blew out of the ducts. We called Champion in the morning and Tom was at our house that afternoon. He did a thorough inspection of the duct work in our attic, found everything ok and then checked our furnace. We had just installed a new air filter and the enhanced air flow had blown some residual insulation from the air ducts...he ran the system for awhile and no more blown insulation. Had Joel out today to service our units. Man, the dude is thorough! I couldn't be happier with the service or the price, and he's super friendly to boot! I had mentioned that the insulation was pretty worn on the outside refrigerant lines, and he said he'd replace it. When he went to give me the bill, he was going to throw it in for free! I wouldn't let him do it, since I know it's a non-standard maintenance item, but it was a really nice thought. Joel provided great customer service. My AC went out over Labor Day weekend, the hottest weekend we have had all year. I called Champion, expecting it would be about a week for any company to be able to respond given the influx of calls due to the extreme temperatures. Joel called me back within an hour of leaving a message on sunday and scheduled to come out two days later on a Tuesday. He provided a two hour time window 2-4, very unusual in my experience, usually its a 4-5 hour window. He arrived right at 2 and got my AC running again within 30 mins. Thomas returned a few days later unsure of the problem and said Joel the owner would come out and assess the problems next week.
