Our air conditioner recently died in the heat of summer! After a week of getting bids, it was obvious that the project manager, Alex, was knowledgeable, professional, and all business. On the day of installation, they arrived in the morning and by 4:00, we had a brand new working furnace and air conditioner. I've never seen a team work harder. It was so hot outside, but that didn't deter them from giving their all! I don't even think they took a lunch break! Impressive! All business! We did a full HVAC replacement system with Tytum after shopping around for awhile. Our system was still functional but 26 years old. Their prices beat three other companies with pretty much identical equipment offerings. Included similar warranties and they had great reviews. They got the work done in one day. I dont have any complaints. Ive had the system now for a month and seems to work as intended. I had a my new HVAC system installed a couple months ago. First cold spell in San Diego, and I noticed my heater wasn't coming on. Unfortunate since it's a brand new unit! Gas heater broke down. I was already interested in heat pump tech, and I wanted to work with a smaller local business that didn't have a huge marketing budget. I gathered a few quotes, and Tytum came in best overall. Dan West was knowledgeable, honest, and straight to the point. They turned the whole project around in one day, removing the old furnace and single stage A/C and replacing it with a Carrier 4-ton heat pump and air exchange system. The team made communication easy from start to finish. Huge bonus is they're licensed electricians too! They installed a NEMA 14-50 EV plug exactly where I wanted it using a quad 30/50A breaker solution, which saved me from adding a second panel like another electrician recommended. Getting that second opinion paid off, and having everything wrapped the same day before a holiday weekend was fantastic. They offer a 10-year warranty on parts, compressor, and LABOR! Very disappointed. They came out for a quote. Hooked up gauges and told me my system was empty. Said my R-410A Freon was outdated and recommended a whole new system. It was close to $10K. Um, no. I asked him to do a nitrogen leak test and he said he didn't have the tools for that and someone would call to schedule that test. I agreed on a price for the test. No one called. No follow up. What company sends a technician out to an AC not cold appointment without the ability to do a leak test? All he needed was his gauges and nitrogen. So, he either didn't have nitrogen on the truck or didn't want to bother doing the test. No one from Tytum ever followed up with me. I called Get Air and Trevor was awesome! read more

#3 I can't help but update my reviews once again. I was down at my Beach Condo working on some projects getting it ready to rent for vacation renters and it's been very warm and extremely humid. Normally, I don't ever use the air conditioning there, but I needed that humidity to be gone and so for the last three days, I've had it on day and night. I am so cool & comfortable. It's working so well but I had a question so I called Alex my installer and asked him why there's no pinging dripping noise in my bathroom where the water from the humidity drains. For 26 years I had an air conditioner that if I ever used it or my guests used it it pinged so loud that I had to tell them to plug the sink hole and shut the bathroom door so they couldn't hear it in the rest of the house. Three days and I have not heard one noise out of that drain. It is absolutely Silent. It made me a little nervous thinking where was the water going so I called Alex and he explained to me how they insert the water into the drain pipe in a way that it hits water and not just dripping onto a pipe and so therefore it's silent. I called Tytum after trying to do a DIY mini-split installation of equipment I bought online, and realized the labor/parts weren't going to be warrantable. Tytum was one of 3 companies I called for bids and I couldnt have been happier landing with them. Out of 3 bids, they were the best quote by far for a central AC system install. Nick of Tytum came out as our downstairs A/C unit wasn't working. Because he was coming out a few days later, I had another company come out and they installed a new capacitor to get it working. I still had Tytum come out because that company and a previous large company came out. Both of those other companies were trying to sell us two brand new systems with new furnaces, etc. Nick tested the pressure of the unit and found it to be in the excellent range, he also checked the inflow and outflow of air to compare the differences and said that was excellent. He checked the airflow/temperature of other unit and that was excellent as well. Needless to say Nick saved us from spending $$$$$.
