I had a my new HVAC system installed a couple months ago. First cold spell in San Diego, and I noticed my heater wasn't coming on. Unfortunate since it's a brand new unit! Gas heater broke down. I was already interested in heat pump tech, and I wanted to work with a smaller local business that didn't have a huge marketing budget. I gathered a few quotes, and Tytum came in best overall. Dan West was knowledgeable, honest, and straight to the point. They turned the whole project around in one day, removing the old furnace and single stage A/C and replacing it with a Carrier 4-ton heat pump and air exchange system. The team made communication easy from start to finish. Huge bonus is they're licensed electricians too! They installed a NEMA 14-50 EV plug exactly where I wanted it using a quad 30/50A breaker solution, which saved me from adding a second panel like another electrician recommended. Getting that second opinion paid off, and having everything wrapped the same day before a holiday weekend was fantastic. They offer a 10-year warranty on parts, compressor, and LABOR! I don't expect to need it given the clean install, but it's great peace of mind and shows they back their work. I've already referred a friend their way. read more

My AC died and my thermostat went completely blank. I tried diagnosing it myself with ChatGpt lol! It said to replace a blown fuse in the furnace, but the problem kept coming back. I'm so happy with having chosen Tytum to install my oceanfront 2.5 ton Carrier Coastal unit. Alex was super knowledgable in the beginning when I got a quote. Their prices were very competitive and their warranty exceeded everyone else's.
