I am going to write this as delicately as I can as I don't want this taken down. I have been seeing Dr. Aaron Schoneberger for several months to treat a back injury. I had an appointment yesterday, which I was a couple of minutes early for. There is never a receptionist there when I'm there, and it's not uncommon for him to be in a treatment room with another patient when I arrive. I sat alone in the lobby to wait for my mid-afternoon appointment as I always do. As I was waiting, several minutes into my appointment time, I started hearing sounds. The sounds began to get louder. And louder. Delicately put, I realized it was the sound of a very vocal woman having an intimate encounter with a partner. I got up out of my seat and walked toward the desk - I wanted to confirm what I was hearing and where it was coming from. The sounds were definitely coming from one of the treatment rooms. I was 100% sure what I was hearing, and I was horrified. I would have left, but I didn't want to get stuck with paying a no-show fee. I waited for them to finish. I rang the bell on the desk and waited for him to come out. When Dr. Schoneberger came out of the room, I said, "I'm gonna go". All he said was, "okay". I walked out in complete shock. I cannot wrap my mind around how someone could be so unprofessional and inappropriate at a work place during business hours. This behavior is completely unacceptable. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life, let alone in a medical setting. I made this appointment 2 weeks ago and confirmed yesterday, so he knew I was coming. Probably needless to say, but I won't be returning. Neither will my sister who was equally horrified. I have filed a formal complaint with Chiropractic Examiners Board, but I wanted to write something here in case nothing comes of that. I showed up at 9:30am but the office was closed. After sending a text and calling the office number I had to leave at 9:45. It's now 10:15 and no word. He and his partner are the only chiropractors I have found that do a comprehensive job and don't just hook you up to a device, correct a few things in under 15 minutes and send you on your way. I still can't figure out how holding a piece of copper can make so much of a difference but it does. He uses a non-force technique and give you a lot of time and attention. Sessions last about an hour. It kinda feels like he is performing magic, the extremely effective non-illusion kind. The place isn't much to look at but it's in a prime location with some of the nicest staff I've ever met. I've been coming here once a month for the past year and I gotta say I love it. The location is prime as it's on the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica and they validate for 2 hours so the parking is free. Best of all he's open on Saturdays so I like to come in early in the morning when there's no fuss about parking or traffic. Whenever I arrive I'm greeted by the nicest receptionist and taken immediately into a room. Granted these rooms are really dated; the walls look old, the x rays look like their from the Mad Men set and it's all really bare bones, but the service here I stress again, is some of the best I've ever had. The physical therapist listens to you during your warm up massage and really works through the kinks in your system and warms you up for the Dr. Dr. Shoenberg (sp?) is the heart of the place and he's really a great kind. Very affable with the ability to speak to you like family and who really hears you about what's going on with your body. I sit at a desk all day and I've started developing really bad neck and shoulder problems. Before visiting Dr. Shoenberg it got to the point where it was giving me headaches, however just by readjusting me I can say those problems are a thing of the past. He's thorough and kind and you could do much worse than him although who knows if you can really do better. I love hearing my whole body crack and then coming out feeling taller than ever before. I've been going to see Dr. Schoneberger for over 12 years and he's awesome! I started going to him when I had the worst pain in my back down to my toes which turned out to be my sciatic nerve. Dr Schoneberger is such a great doctor. He always has time for questions and I always leave feeling a million times better! An average visit takes about an hour. First, they put heat on your back for about 10 minutes, then you get a mini massage, then the doctor comes in and spends at least 20 mins with you. Instead of the quick adjustments that I had gotten with my previous chiro, this place cares much more about your whole body. I should also mention that you wear a gown here. Dr. Schoneberger is fantastic. I've seen around 6 different chiropractors in my life and he is far and away the best of them. He really takes his time, and doesn't let you leave until everything is adjusted properly. Plus, no bs treatments. His staff is so helpful and sweet as well. (Steve gives amazing massages if you need more attention than just an adjustment). The office is in an interesting location... the building is a little odd, but has free parking with validation. There's a Starbucks downstairs if you need to wake up after the soothing appointment. Also, before Dr. Schoneberger takes a look, they put a heating pad on your back to warm up your muscles. And instead of super cheesy new age music (which, I'll admit sometimes I like), they typically play music that features something like classical guitar. Still soothing, just a little twist to the usual at places like that. The tables in different rooms vary significantly in comfort. But not so much that I'd knock a star off for it. Especially since they try to put as many people on the more comfortable ones as possible. But I have an unconfirmed feeling Dr. Schoneberger tries to schedule people needing emergency sessions whenever possible. (As someone who has been in that position, I'm cool with that when it's another person's emergency. As most of us looking at chiropractor reviews know, having one's back out in any way can be extremely debilitating. So just know that they are really great at getting YOU in short notice as well. The other negative to his being willing to help on short notice, in addition to really giving everyone their time is that he is often running behind. If you tend to schedule yourself tight, like I do, just plan to spend an additional 20-30 minutes there than you normally would at a different chiropractor and you will be fine. It's so worth it to go to someone who is so thorough and exceptional at what he does. read more

I discovered Champion Chiropractic as I was having breakfast at Whole Foods. I noticed the signage and I called them on the spot. I was happy to find out they accept my PPO Insurance! I figured since the location is close to my home, literally walking distance, I might as well give it a shot. They were able to see me that same day, which was very accommodating! All I can say is, WOW! Dr. Aaron Schoneberger is great! Truly one of the best chiropractors I've been to and Ive been to a few from LA to NYC. He's attentive and pleasant to speak to, plus, he was able to relieve my pain on my first visit! I somehow twisted my back a couple of weeks ago. Made a certain movement and had excruciating lower back pain. Could hardly move. I had never visited Champion before, but Dr Brian Truong saw me almost right away, gave me an adjustment and other treatments that greatly reduced my pain almost immediately. I want to start off by Saying that this review only pertains to Andre Studer. I went into the office for Acupuncture by Dr Gina Xiao Li Jing. She set me up in a massage room for my treatment that apparently is used by Andre Studer for his massage therapy clients. However, my appointment was at 8:00 am before any massage clients come in. As soon as Dr Gina set me up in the room Andre started yelling at her very loudly right in front of me- saying that was his room and he pays for it and that she should not be using it. This may be true. However, the way he was speaking to her right in front of her patient was extremely unprofessional. Once my treatment began, Dr. Gina stepped out of the room. Andre began screaming at her using very profane language. He kept yelling at her for using his office and saying things like "this is not your office" "shut up B*itch." "The office isn't open yet. I am not on the clock. I will talk to you however I want you f*@#king B*itch". He proceeded to say in a very loud voice. "You put your patient in a dirty bed." I had watched Dr. Gina put a fresh clean sheet on the table before I entered the room. As I was laying there (with my clothes off) in a gown with the front open & acupuncture needles all over me, he was threatening to go in the room and start mopping --while I was in the middle of my treatment. Dr. Gina tried to remain professional and told him "this is a professional office" "please, I have a patient in here". He did not care he continued to rant and rave and yell at her for another 5 minutes using some of the most profane and abusive language I have ever heard. I can not speak to his skills as a massage therapist, but I would never give my business to this man. I was absolutely appalled by his behavior. It was harassment. It is unfortunate that he makes the business appear very unprofessional. read more

Excellent customer service since day 1. Dr. Schoneberger and Debbie are very knowledgeable. They listen to you and your concerns before starting. Always make you feel comfortable and at ease. They have really helped my family and friends. My family has gone due to different issues and after the first visit; we can always see an improvement. My mother has pain in her back and knees and had gone to see another chiropractor and done water therapy to ease the pain but would not improve. We came to Champion per other family recommendations and after a two visits, she was more energetic and less in pain. You can truly see the difference in her now. My friend had injured his back, he could not walk at ease or hold his weight due to the pain in his back, and they were able to help him that in 1 week (3 visits) he was better than before he was injured and ready to exercise. I went in to Dr. Schoneberger's practice today to receive a well deserved, long awaited 90 minute full body massage. I was welcomed by smiling faces and lead into a beautifully decorated room that had the perfect temperature , music and soothing lavender smell. As a professional in the Healthcare field I have experienced many massages, however, none like this. My Massage Therapist, Andre Studer is a true master in his field. Went in with a bad back, left having to have surgery at cedars. Now I can't prove that they did it but my back usually goes out once every two years or so, but runs its course and feels better in a week or so. I went in to be adjusted here and was not getting better, and it was an extremely painful adjustment and I told them it was. I made the mistake of going back three more times and each time getting adjusted the same way. The day after my last visit I started having trouble walking, I called them and was told to come in and get adjusted again. I decided to go to a sports surgeon to get another opinion. He ordered an MRI and it turns out I had a severely herniated disc. The doctors said it was the worst one he had ever seen and that the only way it could have happened was due to severe trauma to my back. Now I was not in any accident of any type so the only thing I could attribute it to was the adjustments. I ended up in the hospital for two weeks and am out of work for six months for physical therapy and healing time. I recommend that if your back has gone out get an MRI done before you let anyone adjust it. read more
