Champion did as good a job as possible with my 9'x9' shag rug that my elderly dog decided was "her space" - ick! Joel responded to an online inquiry within the hour and had the rug picked up that afternoon, which delighted me. He gave me an accurate quote, which included pickup and re-delivery of this huge and heavy rug. Although it took longer than expected due to the density of the rug and the duration of the stain being there, he kept in touch with me re: progress. They worked very hard to get the stains/smell out and it looks great now! They also discounted the quote 20% because they couldn't clean it (despite several attempts) to their professional satisfaction. The only reason for docking them the star is that the feel of the rug is a little changed - a little coarser than the super soft (but essentially ruined) carpet that I gave them. Did they try and get out the "toothpaste spot" and the other teeny tiny spot which may have been blood, spaghetti oil, or some other russet liquid by washing the shirt in addition to dry cleaning? Yes, according to the cashier, she did. That's an additional star. Did they succeed?? Somewhat...but not entirely. Sorry, that 5th star evades you. I was a new customer and came in with a 30% coupon on dry cleaning. I specifically asked for my items to be DRY CLEANED. When I went to pick up the 30% discount did not seem correct (~$2 off a $20 order). When I asked the person working explained that most of my items were "laundered". The work itself seems fine - so still giving 3 stars for that, but I'm am so tired of dry cleaning places that do not have their prices clearly stated somewhere and that if you ask for dry cleaning you get it. And if there is a reason why it can't be dry cleaned they explain. I had hoped to like this place since it is nearby but just felt like the person taking the clothes noticed I had a coupon and decided (on her own) to launder them so I would not get the discount. read more

I wouldn't recommend them if you're in a hurry. Their 4 day normal turn around seems to be unusually long and they were "put out" when I asked to have my shirts available sooner. I don't know, I've just moved back to the area from Houston where same day service is the norm. I guess things just move slower at this location. I'll try someplace else.... My 2 cents. Champion Cleaners is right near where I live, so I go here for dry cleaning. I usually get some suits/blouses, and my dark jeans dry cleaned (so they don't fade in the wash). The prices seem a little bit high, but for the convenience of it being nearby, I don't mind. My only hesitation that knocked off the one star is that some of my jeans are still fading (not sure if that's just inevitable) and sometimes the jeans come back like they shrunk a little bit, which shouldn't happen with dry cleaning that is done properly. I would love to try their alteration service sometime. read more

Cheapest place in Boulder for dry cleaning. My uniform pants, which cost 8-10 elsewhere, are only $6 at Champion. Plus their hours are great. I got the green bag too, so I think they not only discount for that but you're saving the environment from plastic. Never had a problem with them. read more

This dry cleaners is great! It's a little bit away from my house but I'm willing to make the drive as they have ALWAYS treated me right. I experienced a little more starch than I expected so I asked them to reduce that and my shirts come out perfect every time! I took my laundry here for 4 months. They ruined the buttons (cracked and burned from the heat press) on several shirts and I had to keep coming back to have them fixed. They did nothing but blame me for the problem, saying it was the type of buttons - even though it happened on three shirts and even on one shirt after they replaced the buttons with their own buttons. I went to the same dry cleaner in my old neighborhood for nearly 6 years and never had this problem. I didn't appreciate how rude they were about it. They never once apologized for the inconvenience, only blamed me. Also, they have a slow turn-around time and charge you extra if you need something quicker. read more

These guys are amazing. I came in with an emergency and they totally saved the day. I needed my suit cleaned for a wedding and I was leaving the next day to travel to it.
