As a first time customer, I should have read this business' reviews before I dropped off my leather boots for repair and polish. Took about 3 weeks (though it was written on the paper ticket otherwise). The employees told me it takes a long time to get shoes done there, but it was the second employee who told me that I should wait for an email once my boots are finished (and not look at the date on the ticket). The boots came back with the heels replaced and painted, but the polishing job was minimal and I could still see the scuff marks. I commented on this in front of the third employee (my 3rd time in the store), but she didn't respond. My husband and his friend agreed that the scuff marks of wear are still visible and the boots don't look polished at all. John's Cleaners sends customer's nice emails, and so I responded to their email with my complaint. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything. My husband and I will never go to this cleaners. I will be taking my boots to yet ANOTHER place in order to get them polished. read more

This cleaner gets one star for two reasons: 1. John has decent customer service (as in, actually John, not his employees), and 2. I have to select one star for yelp. This cleaner is 0 for 2. The first time I went here I brought my down comforter in to be cleaned. Upon its return, there were blue stains on everything. I declined picking it up and prof and john called, discovered that some zipper had melted and ruined the comforter. He kept the comforter but replaced it with one he guessed was the same amount. I was nervous about trying them again, but given johns great customer service, I thought, "why not". So I dropped a white dress off that I had worn once before. It had a small red and wine stain on it near the hem. I dropped it off hoping to have it cleaned so I could wear it one night during my wedding weekend. I went to pick it up, and the red wine stain hadn't even been touched. I pointed this out and the woman said "whoops I guess we missed that!" And then said she would have it fixed right away. Fast forward 2 weeks! TWO! The wedding came and went and no word on the dress. I figured no big deal I'll wear it on the honeymoon which we leave for in 10 days. So I call the day we get back from the wedding and ask about my dress. Turns out they had misplaced it and it never was sent out to be fixed. Alright, they assure me they will have it ready for the honeymoon. Now, we leave in 5 days and I show up to pick up the dress. Red wine stain, GONE! Yay!! But.... Wtf are all the black stains on the skirt of the dress?? They fixed one problem and created a bigger one. Now, no dress for honeymoon, original dress is ruined, and I am very disappointed in the service here. I do NOT recommend. Simply the worst customer service I've experienced in my 42 years. Situation: I had cleaning to pick up that I dropped off a week ago. I also got a voicemail from "Joanna" saying that I had a pickup that was 60 days overdue. I am not missing any clothing that I'm aware of. The teenager who took my ticket didn't say "hello", "hi", or "welcome". She simply stared at me annoyed across the desk. I gave her my ticket and she annoyedly got my clothes. I then explained that I had a voicemail from Joanna saying that I have clothes that are 60 days overdue for pickup. She looked at me and said, "What you talking about?" I explained again that I'm not missing anything to my knowledge, and I played the voicemail for her. She poked around, annoyed again, and said "well if you're not missing anything then it's not here". I paid ($63!) and even gave her an underserved yet polite "thank you" to which she said nothing. I've only had one problem with John's Cleaners and it didn't really bother me that much. I took a dress that had big rhinestones on the front to get dry cleaned for the first time. The lady worned me about damage to the stones because of their machines and she was right. The dress came back great although the stones were discolored and broken. I'll just have to find new ones to replace. However, this review isn't because of the dress. My 3 stars are because of the price. This place is super pricey. So much so that I wait for 20% - 30% coupons to arrive in the mail to go and pick-up my clothes. Quality is good but not superior than anyone elses... If you find a cheaper place go there and avoid John's. read more

This is the only cleaners I know of around my house. After reading the previous reviews, I was a little worried dropping off my husband's wool coat. I was greeted by a nice cashier who gave me a 20% discount they are offering online after finding out it was my first time there. She didn't need to tell me about it yet she did. That is really great customer service! The pick-up day was about three days out which could be sooner. When I returned to pick it up, there was a different cashier and she wasn't very friendly. She didn't even say hi before asking for my name(maybe she had a bad day). Before leaving, I checked the jacket thoroughly and it seemed to be cleaned well. It was in a horrible state when I dropped it off, covered in cat hair and dust. I'm a happy customer to have found a cleaners so close to home! read more

Wow, prices are crazy high. One suit, One blazer, 4 shirs and 2 pairs of pants for $73? I had sticker shock to say the least I guess the cleaner is OK but I didn't notice anything special. read more

My wife dropped off three suits to be pressed before I left for a work trip. They threw away the nice suit hangers they were on and returned them on the cheap metal and cardboard ones. Worse, they pressed wrinkles into all three pairs of pants. I could have done a better job with the cheap iron in my hotel room. Avoid these guys at all costs. read more

I dropped off my suit and a few shirts to prepare for a funeral. Because of a work schedule change, I was in a position where I could not pick up my cleaning before flying out. The people here worked with me and finished the job AND made a special,trip to get my things to me early. Nice work and accomodating. This place is expensive and the employee whom I dropped my clothes off with was unpleasant. She provided me with a time and date my clothes would be done and I asked if another day would be ok (faster) and she looked like she was going to blow. She just went silent, got irritated and said, OK in short tone, gave me my receipt and turned away. I said thank you a few times but then realized she didn't want to thank me for my business. Advice to her: relax...don't take customers requests personal, it's a business you WORK for that PAYS you and I assume TRUSTS you to provide a service to customers. By the way every time I take in a coupon when I drop off my clothes (as requested), by the time I pick them up, they suddenly "lost the coupon". Every. Time. If I remember to inquire about it being applied they honor it though. Just odd. read more
