I chose Champion Movers after shopping around because I had a referral and was quoted approximately $1,260 for three movers for six hours. I was very clear from the beginning that I could not afford to go over that time and that I needed all of the large furniture moved first. I repeatedly told the crew that I would handle boxes and smaller items myself in my van if necessary. Despite those instructions, the crew loaded numerous boxes and smaller items while leaving many large pieces of furniture behind, including items that required no additional preparation. I reiterated my instructions multiple times, including before leaving briefly to take a load myself, and they still were not followed. There were also concerns with the efficiency of the move. I was helping unload the truck myself because of how much time was passing, and one bed that the crew spent time assembling was ultimately left incomplete. I also had difficulty reaching the office while the move was happening, and when I finally reached someone supervising the crew, I found the interaction rude and dismissive. I understand that movers charge by the hour. That is not my issue. My issue is that I specifically communicated that I had a firm time and financial limit and gave clear instructions for how I needed those hours used so I could avoid additional charges. Those instructions were not followed, and the move went significantly beyond what I had budgeted. I contacted Champion afterward hoping they would review the circumstances and work with me on the disputed additional charges. Instead, I have felt that they have placed the responsibility entirely on me and have not meaningfully addressed my concerns about how the move was handled. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Champion Movers. I specifically rented a storage unit that their truck could easily access, yet I was charged an additional fee because they claimed they couldn't get the truck close enough. It was obvious that the truck could have been moved closer, but instead they chose to charge me more. The only reason I believe that this could have happened is because they have an inadequate driver. When I address this with the driver he stated to me that he did not volunteer to move my things in the heat and humidity. If he didn't volunteer why was he driving my items to South Carolina? Terrible experience. Besides changing the delivery dates several times, now they are not responding after they damaged our expensive furniture during the move from Arizona to Los Angeles. Everything had been documented upon delivery. They tried to tell us to deal directly with a supposed insurance company, however , after contacting the insurance company, no one replies. We let them know about this, and still no response. At this point we payed in full, and they have been ghosting us for months regarding the damages that they caused. This happened last December, about 5 months ago (absolutely unacceptable), and still has not been addressed by them. I hired champion movers to move my 3-bedroom, two bath & garage home. I was quoted 5 hours, one truck and three men $925. It was $160 an hour if over the 5 hour quote and if the job runs over 8 hours it's time and a half. I had an inspection/estimator come to my property and take inventory of my stuff. I told him I did not have all the stuff packed in the house yet and there would be more boxes. The estimator assured me he was taking that into account, and one truck/three men would get the job in time. The movers arrived almost four hours late due to a previous job running over. This I was told the day of, and I had to call champion three different times to get time estimates of when they would arrive. The movers also told me once they arrived that they would have not of taken my move if they knew how big of a job my move would be. We proceeded anyway. (Please note: if I would have known to hire 4 men and two trucks, I would have done this. The job would have at lease been done in one day). The movers had to make two trips. The first trip truck full but packed badly, the second trip the truck was a quarter of the way full, and they still did not pack the previous house fully. I had to rush them close to the 8-hour mark due to it being so late and the time and a half payment starting at the 8-hour mark. They started the job at 3:30 pm and finished close to midnight. I have a 5-year-old child who needed to go to bed at this point. The job ended up taking almost 8 hours and they were not able to get all of my boxes upstairs. It should not have taken close to 8 hours to move my house. I have hired other movers with the same amount of stuff, and they have finished in 6 and a half hours. The champion movers had to leave all of my upstairs boxes in the garage. I had to hire other day laborers to move the 30 ish boxes from the garage to upstairs two days later. I am very unhappy with this company and spoke with them about compensating me for the day laborers that I had to hire because their movers couldn't finish in a timely manner. This company was hired by the apartment complex or southern Nevada regional housing authority to move tenants out of their apartments due to renovation plans. They arrived a day early and "helped" put the things we waited to pack until the night before the move, electronics, our laptops, stuf we needed. M laptop cord never made it to our new place. BEWARE BE VERY AWARE NO RATING TERRIBLE I spoke with Heather on 4/7/2025 to arrange for a move from AZ to AL. I was told that they had local trucks. The original estimate was low so I thought it may need more inadept looking at. She arranges a virtual survey of what was to be moved. We agreed on an amount and date. When I receive the form, the date was incorrect, so they changed it but when the movers came, they were only available for a short time. When they returned and filled the truck which was too small for the amount of stuff we had. After doing the virtual tour as they are the experts the bid should have been correct. They charged an extra fee for what we had left. I decided on about half of the stuff left. As my belongings are now in the truck, I have no option but to try to arrange for the delivery. They claimed another truck was coming and we waited all day to no avail. They knew perfectly well that we needed to have the moved done on the 9th as we were traveling to AL and needed to get on the road. Another truck was sent the next day from Las Vegas. When they arrived and they put the agreed amount on the truck. The driver told the foreman Alejandro that the truck was not full to the capacity of what they overcharged which was an extra $4000.00 so now they are asking me what stuff to put on as if they were doing me a favor. So now we are late getting a start on the road as We needed to get to our destination by the 13th of April. We were also told that we would get our stuff by the 17th of April, but we did not get it until the 25th. When the driver arrived, he tried to get more than the balanced owed. I refused and we had to go round and round until they were able to get the information. this is the type of company I was dealing with. They overcharge, give wrong information and our rude with no customer service skills when you call to get information as to what is going on. After I didn't receive by the 17th I texted and was told I would receive by the following Tues or Wed 22/23 but didn't receive until the 25th. If you are a military family getting ready to PCS I would highly recommend you avoid Champion Movers at all costs. After hearing of multiple bad experiences with them we specifically requested to not have them do our move. Yadira insisted that they had all new crew working for them and that everything would be fine. It turns out Yadira was the worst one to work with in the end as she ignored multiple emails from me for over 5 months. When they came to pick up our items they tried marking all our furniture and exercise equipment with damage codes that were false. Saying that our items were scratched, chipped and dented when they were in perfect condition. When our items were finally delivered to our new home every single piece of furniture was damaged, the driver was extremely rude and disrespectful, they scratched my hardwood floors in multiple places, broke two door frames and put dents in my walls. We immediately started the claim process for the damages done to our home. Champion said they would handle the issue themselves. It took almost 7 months, multiple emails, reporting them to TMM and MCO and threatening legal action for them to finally send someone out to repair the damages. Every month I was told excuse after excuse for why nothing got done. They are the worst and they only care about money, they don't care about your belongings or your home. He offered to do a FaceTime call to get a preview of the work/labor needed. Pricing was reasonable and they even moved items to multiple locations. They worked efficiently and carefully with moving an antique upright piano as well. Only thing was not being able to get the senior citizen discount for her given the moving project was for her and I was just coordinating it on her behalf. They are sneaky and hide fees in the contract/don't deliver what they promise. Our job went 9 hours (when i was quoted 6 or less) and they informed me "while holding my stuff in the truck" that there would be an overtime fee of 50% additional per hour added to anything over 8 and if I wasnt willing to pay they'd offload my items at the first of 2 destinations. Ofc they didn't discuss that before in the 3 conversations I had with their team. Then the lady in the office says "its not my job to read your contract. Do you always sign things you don't read?" I ofc got angry and that set me off. Then they wouldn't resume the job unless I paid for the full 8 hours and 2 hours of overtime, upfront! Before they did the 2 hours of overtime. Tonya is one angry condescending c u next Tuesday...due to their deceptive practices and her condescending power trip, they lost a much bigger regional transport job coming up in a couple of months. They did minimum job and they left ( with the big mess of trash every where on the street), even the sales men says they are full service. DO NOT BOOK HERE! Especially if you're military. I was quoted 3 men/3 hours. They came two hours past the scheduled window and showed up with 2 men. My move went to 5 hours. I had to situate childcare, which cost me more since I'm a solo parent right now due to dad being deployed. To add to that, I helped tremendously to lessen the amount of hours I'd paid for. I went in to talk to the manager, who hid behind a wall and spoke through his receptionist. In the end the manager only gave $67 off, and felt that because he lowered the cost per hour with 2 people that all should be good. They have terrible customer Service, the manager is rude, Tanya lied about being a manager, but keep going back to talk to the actual manager. And while in the end I paid the same I would have with my original quote the experience of everything else was regarding their inability to properly schedule and send the correct people, impacted me extremely and they do not care. If you're a military family then you understand! All this company cares about if getting those contracts. They don't understand principal. I would not use their services again. I should have listened to my first instinct and the bad reviews about this company and canceled the order when I had decided that they might not be the best route to go. But I foolishly let the so-called manager talk me into using their company. The end result of that decision, a damaged table and the panel from my fireplace missing. They transfer my claim and damages over to a third party do nothing company called CSI after moving me on February 01, 2021. The claims manager handling my case never return my phone calls or emails so I just gave up on them for reimbursement of damages caused by Champion Movers. I am aware that this third party company responds with scripted messages, about Bill of Lading, and you should have got the Full Value Protection Coverage, which of course, was never offered to us, and Yada Yada Yada. A lot of verbiage and dog and pony show that basically translates into we are not going to pay you anything! It's up to the moving company to reimburse you. Huh? Then why did they turn my claim over to you guys in the first place. I think this speaks volume about a moving company that hides behind an entity like this called CSI to do their dirty work so they want have to pay the customer after their movers damages or loses a piece of the customer's furniture. I will say I appreciate the honesty of the foreman that pointed out to me that they had damaged the dinette table . I just wish that management in his company had the same honesty and transparency. When I immediately replied asking the status of the driver, Mercy ignored me & I never heard from her again. -On November 19 Tonya, "Manager/Customer Service", informed that it was 7-14 BUSINESS days, not days in general. The fourteenth business day was December 01, my property didn't arrive until December 11. ***Again with the make believe 7-14 days/business days statement*** -At the drop off in Nashville, the (2) movers that I was told by Summer would be assisting the driver didn't exist. My driver told me he found (1) guy to help but he didn't show. A local random husband & wife arrived just shy of 2 hours later to help the driver move me in. -See pictures of my property that was damaged between the pick up in Los Angeles and the drop off in Nashville. I have moved a few times in my life, but this was my first big cross country move. We had to relocate because of work, and we had just purchased most of our big ticket items within the last 4 months, so we decided to move them instead of selling and getting new pieces. Although I had a great conversation with the sales representative, the actual experience could not have been more awful. Not only did the people who picked up the items from my house include TRASH (like open cans of paint trash that had been specifically called out to not include as it was TRASH), the movers who delivered our items didn't want to hire another person (being cheap) and they ended up ripping our mattress and cover because they pushed it up the stairs instead of carrying it in the mattress bag. They snapped our wicker chair because they had thrown something heavy on top of it thinking it would support it. And (surprise) those open cans of paint that they included in a trash box? They spilled open! Comforter, pillows, couch, ruined with acrylic paint and ripped from being dragged up the stairs. When I reached out to the representative, she said she would call me back and to text her the pictures so she could start the claim. After 2 months? Still nothing. I had to call back 3 times and finally someone else tells me "just go to the website and file the claim". I could've done that weeks ago! Lastly, we go through the claims process. After waiting 4 months, we are reimburse $100 for all of the damage because "owner packed boxes". We never packed that box!!! So trash. Never again. My mother bought insurance and had her belongings transported across the United States. They broke an $800 dollar lamp so my mother put in a claim. Apparently they don't handle claims themselves they use a third party CSI and they pay per pound. So she received $6 dollars for an $800 dollar lamp. my husband and I contacted champion movers in January 2025 to move our family from Las Vegas NV to Owens crossroads AL. The crew who came to our home to move us was very professional and very courteous. We thought this was going to be a great experience. When we were moving into our home and removed our things from storage, we found out that we had several missing totes and missing items. We also acquired other things that were on the same 18 wheeler with our stuff. I'm not sure where all of our clothes went and other household items, but they were not delivered and placed in our storage. Also, we have damage to our furniture. We have huge chips, scratches and pieces taken out of our furniture which per the movers were adequately wrapped. This cannot be the case due to the extent of damage. I will be reaching out again to champion mover to see how this will be resolved. My husband and I have no clothes for the summer and anyone who knew me knew that my huge walk-in closet was packed to capacity with clothing that I do not have now. We used champion movers back in August. They called me a liar on drop off, saying they told me what the final price was at drop off beforehand, which they didn't. Then, since I didn't have the amount they specified, which was 300 dollars pricier than anticipated, they threatened a 100 dollar per hour penalty until we gave them the money. Why was it 300 dollars more expensive?? Because they said that the 16 wheel truck could not fit in our apartment complex. Thus, they charged us to change the items into a smaller truck. I used Champion movers before in a smaller job and was pretty satisfied so when I decided to move again I called them and booked their services and told them I was using the 10% of coupon in their website. The man booking my twist said the coupon was noted and is receive the 10% of up to $100. The day of my move I told the young man who arrived about the coupon as well before he loaded my things. Upon getting to my new place the young kid told me that his dispatch wasn't allowing him to take off the 10%. He then told me they wouldn't begin unloading my things until I made payment in full. I'll just add to those who have/will suffer their bait and switch tactic of trying to charge you an extra $500+ more last minute because "gas prices have gone up" or "we are slammed and have had to hire more staff, trucks, etc" - READ YOUR CONTRACTS. They're likely labeled as a binding moving estimate, which means they can't charge you for their own business incompetence. They can only charge extra for the things they'll inevitably charge you for, such as a shuttle fee (in case they can only send an 18-wheeler and your LA neighborhood can't fit one) and a stair fee (because while they say the first flight of stairs is free, apparently, in their world, a "flight" of stairs is 7 steps). READ THIS if you want to laugh, and don't use this company unless you want to waste your money! TL;DR: If you want a shady moving company with incompetent estimators who don't read their own contracts and have customer service reps that threaten to call the police, Champion Movers is your company! Champion came out to my condo and looked at everything to be moved and estimated 4 hours of work. I agreed to hire them based on that estimate. I'm out of state but my realtor was there to manage. On the day of the move, Champion called and said it took them 8 hours to move and they were going to charge me for 8 hours of labor. DOUBLE THE ESTIMATE. I've dealt with moving companies before and I know estimates are just estimates - but I've never in my life had an estimate be doubled. What is the point of an estimate if it's off by so much? Either they're super incompetent at estimating, or their estimate (which I based my selection on) was fraudulent. Neither option is good. So, figuring I'm dealing with a reasonable and professional company, I called to ask them to discount the fee since their estimate was WILDLY INACCURATE. That's when the fun started. First I was on hold forever. (They told me they would charge me for the time on hold LOL). Then they told me they talked to "upper management" and they can't give me a discount. Pretty shitty way to treat customers when Champion effed up by providing a GROSSLY INCORRECT estimate, but fine. I'll pay for 8 hours, write a review, and never use them again. Time to pay. They want to be paid by Zelle. My total came to $2689. Unfortunately for them, Zelle has a daily limit of $2000. So I sent over the $2000 and told them I'd pay the remaining $589 tomorrow (I had already put down a $100 deposit). Well my friends at Champion Movers did not like that. They wanted me to pay by credit card, but they charge a 4% credit card fee. Nope, not paying that. I took a look at the contract, and the contract says exactly this IN BOLD: "If payment is not received within 24 hours of completion of services rendered, we will automatically charge the credit card on file that was previously used to make your deposit." Great! That means, according to THEIR CONTRACT, I have 24 hours to pay before my credit card is charged. So I told the person I was speaking with (let's call her T) that I'd just send the $589 tomorrow. Well, T and "upper management" didn't like that either. Too bad, don't have that in your contract if you don't like it. (They should pay me for pointing that out, and they should also fire their contract drafters). That's when T started with one of my favorite customer service moves, the yelling "Maam". "Maam! Maam! MAAM! MAAM! MAAM!" she starts yelling over me, not allowing me to get a word in. I love that game, so I start yelling over her too. Lots of yelling happening, nothing getting done. Then T gave me the biggest laugh of the day by yelling at me that Champion Movers "will call the police" on me for not paying the $589 immediately. That was hilarious. I told T to go ahead and call the police. I'm shaking in my boots. I'm sure the Las Vegas Police Department will put all officers on the case, put out an APB for me, and probably reach out to police in my state and have me extradited to Nevada, because I'm sure my CONTRACT DISPUTE WORTH $589 with a shitty/shady moving company is a top priority for the police! Anyway, that really made me laugh. So: If you want a shady moving company with incompetent estimators who don't read their own contracts and have customer service reps that threaten to call the police, Champion Movers is your company! RUN. RUN. RUN. I wanted to support a family owned business. "Dana"was helpful and convinced me to hire this company. I have been going through a brutal divorce with limited funds. I was told that I would not have to pay one dime over the price that Dana gave me. I called, texted and emailed to confirm of that price. I was told that there could possibly be a $400 fee if the semi could not get into my driveway. After fighting over that and explaining that I did not have a single dime more, Dana sent me the above email. THREE WEEKS LATER I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY FURNITURE. And not only do I NOT have my furniture, I have been informed that I owe 1000 more. AND NOT ONLY do they want $1000 more they also want to let me know that I could possibly "owe $575 if the semi cannot back into my very large driveway." AND NOT ONLY THAT, my dear baby sitter/dog sitter who was there to give my deposit to the moving company as I drove my children and dogs 3000 miles across country informed me that the movers first hour and 30 minutes were spent cursing and arguing . She was completely devastated and traumatized to witness such unprofessional behavior. AND.... I have asked for two weeks, two weeks! For the receipt from the scales. I keep getting a different answer. I have called and texted and emailed and called some more. Not one person has been empathetic, not one person has been apologetic. As a matter of fact in all of the phone calls I have made, I have yet to hear Tonya say, "I am so sorry. You are a customer and we want to make this better. " I fully plan on suing this company. Please, do not make the same mistake ! I'm too tired to keep typing and I'm too exhausted and I am too devastated. I will see them in court. Horrible service. Also, look at my reviews. UPDATE: Settled a claim for them to give me a lousy $218. They had 45 days to give me a check (they said they would Zelle it). It's now 53 days. And they're trying to tell me they have 90. When I have the paperwork from CSI, the company they use for claims saying it's 45 days. Called today, day 53 to give them grace. And they did not call me back lmao. Using Champion Movers was/is an awful experience. I moved from San Diego to Chicago. The pick-up was smooth, but the drop off was awful. First before they would not take my stuff off the truck until they forced me into signing documents saying I wouldn't charge back my CC or take them to court for any damages, and if i did I would be liable for all expenses of both legal teams. Otherwise they would not move my possessions off the truck. I moved August 2020 (middle of COVID) none of the drop off moving team wore masks or gloves. The lead guys diabetic wounds were literally oozing down his shins and onto my floors. I cleaned them with a towel. Then come to find out they left some furniture wrapped and boxed up, when I unwrapped them, they were all broken. They knew they were because they were the only items still wrapped. So i file a claim with the insurance they provide. It's a total racket. I had over $10,000 of damage and they are reimbursing me $170. It's now August 2021 and I still haven't seen my measly claim money reimbursement. Mercedes, who works for Champion says its on the way, but it's been over a year and she wont return my calls. This place is awful. I could go on and on. Don't use them. They don't care about their customers they only care about covering their asses. I would never give this place even a chance. The manager Lauren became very loud and hostile when asked her to repeat something. Lauren said I answered that 12x Really! I asked her something else. Lauren said are you stupid? I can't help it, you don't know Math. She refused to let me talk to who was over her, which was the owners! I asked her what is the cancellation process. I specified ordered 2 hours and 3 movers. Upon arrival, the leader takes a quick look and claims the job will take longer. I said no, and to start moving. They finished loading the truck in 45 min. Completed the in city move in 1 hour 45min including drive time. They crushed 2 boxes that clearly marked fragile. With my own eyes, I saw them toss boxes inside the truck. $350 for this. The next day, I got uhaul truck for $29 and ONE labor worker for $60 who filled the truck and unloaded in 1 hour 30 min. Do the math. read more

I should have listened to the reviews on here. They might seem "cheaper" but all of the small fees they add on make the cost similar to other companies. Not to mention it took a month and a half to get my things. If I wasn't left hanging by another company on the day they were supposed to pack up our stuff, I would have 100% taken the time to go with someone else. They aren't clear about the delivery window. They kept telling me different dates and times, ultimately stating that the contract I signed stated that they had 30 business days from the available drop off date to deliver. Needless to say, I waited in my empty house for a month and a half. I even put the first available date way earlier than I would be at my house, which was recommended to me by the customer service rep who scheduled everything for me. He left out the 30 business day policy in his pitch. I had absolutely no knowledge about their policy until I called from my new house, two weeks in wondering where my stuff was. I believe they intentionally don't mention it. It's dee in the contract too. If they'd have told that to me in the first place there's no way I would have gone with them. They also kept dodging my calls, saying they were going to call me the next day and they never did. You've gotta stay on top of them or you'll just be ghosted for a month. On pickup day they showed up two hours past their "window". 8pm rolled around and we had to cancel a dinner reservation. Everyone who did the driving and loading was nice though they left the place a mess. Rolls of tape and trash were scattered around the apartment. They also left trash on the walkway outside of our building. Some property was damaged but there's no way in hell I'd go through the trouble with this company. I was just happy my stuff wasn't stolen or lost - happy that it even arrived at all. Because I seriously doubted it was going to. Loved living out of a suitcase and sleeping on an air mattress for a month an a half. You're going to spend the money either way, so go with another company. Saving a few hundred ended up costing me more since I had to buy cutlery, an air mattress and all the stuff I needed for a month and a half in my new home without my things. You KNOW nobody has any recourse against you because of your signed documents so you test their property like garbage (well, it's garbage by the time it gets to their new place!). Worse than that, my items were held for ransom until I paid an extra $1500 upon delivery! Have you ever heard of anything so insanely crazy?! No phone call about how there's going to be an extra charge or even why! They show up to deliver the furniture 2 days later than promised and then say I owe an extra $1500. Are you kidding me??! Professionalism is not in their vocabulary. I hired them to pick and store my furniture until my new house was ready. The pickup was November 2020, in Las Vegas and the drop-off was January 2021, in Las Vegas. After they packed the furniture into the van, they insisted on cash, or they would unpack it. No checks or Zelle, no checks, credit cards. Not a way to do business. In January, they delivered the furniture and they damaged some items when they assembled it, which wasn't discovered until a few weeks later because the damage was hidden. They lost some boxes with Kitchenware. We notified them, and we received the preverbal "we will look for it." I have never heard from since. I find it confusing that when they delivered the furniture, they accepted a credit card for payment but would not accept one for picking up and packing the furniture. This is the worst company to do business with. They were not only a day early, they were late for pickup. They also gave a false delivery time frame that they will not own up to. I'm in a North Carolina & they still have not even set up a date to deliver my home to me. Unreliable & irresponsible company. Do not do business. All the reviews on Yelp and other sites are very real about the nightmare stories of items being delivered late. Tonya the manager is extremely rude, they quote you 7-14 days to lure you in and sign a provisional contract. When their drivers showed up they spent 5 hours to load the truck and then gave me a different contract to sign showing 21 days of delivery...if I didn't sign they would unload all my stuff again and I would be SOL. The pros of this move were that the guys who moved stuff on either end were efficient and friendly. The estimate was a bit off but not hugely. The cons were that we did not get all of our stuff and we received some other people's things. That one I noticed first-because they were clearly labeled. They said they'd "look into it" and never did. While the things we lost were sentimental mostly (my daughters perfume collection and half of a shelving unit which we had to throw away) it not ok to just not delive everything. For that reason I'd be too scared to use them again. I'm leaving my first yelp review because I spent a lot of money and really worried about moving companies. I was hoping this would be better. Also delivery time was "up to 21 days." They picked up on July 30, delivered on Aug 21, gave me no time to prepare for a late delivery so I was unable to be there. read more
