I hired this company to install my newly purchased water heater a few years ago. The so called plumber Kevin Wilson did such a weird and botched installation that looks like an elementary school child could have done better. I contacted the owner Jeff to send someone else to install it correctly or refund me but he was no help. Because of the non professional and botched install my water heater has constantly turned off since the install resulting in us having to finish our showers with cold water so now I have to pay another company $1394 to come and fix the mess from this company. Do not use this company. They have no knowledge of basics of plumbing and installation, no care for fixing their botched work, no customer service, and no care to make it right for the customer. I wanted to get our sewer line inspected from our house to the street using a camera. I submitted quote requests to six different companies...some here, some from Home Advisor. All of the quotes came in about the same...few hundred dollars. EXCEPT Champion Plumbing & Rooter. She called and offered a free camera inspection. I was very hesitant...what were they going to try and sell me? I figured they'd come up with something that was wrong and then overcharge me to recoup their money. But free...figured I'd give it a shot. Guy showed up, asked about my concerns, and then hopped up on my roof. 10 minutes later he came down and I prepared myself for the sales pitch. He said my pipe looked great, explained how it was connected at the house, marked my buried clean-outs and said "Everything looks great! Have a great day!" and walked off. I couldn't believe it! When I wrote this review, I asked myself a simple question; knowing what I know now, would I still have hired Champion Plumbing? The answer is no, and I will explain why. It started out when the toilet and the shower in my mother's house started to flood sewage. We contacted Rotor Rooter first, and the plumber showed us a camera footage of the impacted main sewer line, and suggested that they had to tear up a significant portion of our house tile to get to it. We sought a second opinion with Champion, and this is where the worst plumbing experience of our lives began. The Champion plumbers made the job seem easy, and even suggested they could use a trenchless sewer line extraction after they dug three holes; two inside the house and one by the outdoor sewer access. Seemed simple enough, and we agreed to let them on the job. Champion then mentioned Adams Disaster and Recovery would set up containment tents after we signed the contract with Champion. This disaster company was one of the worst companies I had the displeasure of working with. They were unprofessional, unprepared and every time they showed up it was with a completely different person except for two people on three separate occasions. After this whole ordeal was over, I found containment tents for twenty dollars at Home Depot, Adams was not needed. The receptionist at Champion was snide and unprofessional, but I will get to her later. After they invited the disaster company, Champions went to work digging the access holes. The Champion plumber then pleaded with us to allow a fourth hole to be dug in the house to ease their access to the main sewer line. I vehemently disagreed; however, my mother thought it was a good idea for them to do so, and thus a fourth hole was dug. This fourth hole is where all of our problems sprang fourth. Adams came in again to work with my mother's home insurance company, and they later gave us dehumidifiers and fans that were not really needed. All we needed was to get rid of our contaminated cabinets, we had already cleaned up the sewage mess. Once Champions finished the job, and resealed the holes, we thought everything was over. It was not, as the worst was yet to come. The kitchen sink started to back up the day they were finished. No big deal, these things happen right? The clog got worse over a three-day period, to where the dishwasher would backlog the sink. We bought a new garbage disposal, as ours was about seven years old, and we thought that would fix the problem. No, before the weekend the unimaginable happened; raw sewage started to flood from the sink. Champion Plumbing did not fix the sewer main, and sewage was seeping under our kitchen as well. This was a scenario beyond my worse household nightmares, and we called Champion immediately after this happened. This is the part where the receptionist comes into play; she would only dispatch one plumber at a time, and they claimed not to really know what was going on. After the weekend they finally sent in the field supervisor to determine that what we assumed was true; the main sewer line was improperly done, as we could see a wet stain underneath the recently-sealed fourth hole. Adams was invited again to make containment tents, destroying our expensive custom-made blinds in the process. The work began to redrill the hole and fix the sewer main line; however only one young gentleman was sent to do the job. Sensing a pattern here? He shoveled buckets and buckets of dirt, sewage, and rock and placed it on tarps in the front yard. After a few days, he stated expert plumbers would be brought in to look at the issue. We went through at least three experts that looked at the sewer hole, and then left the house after about forty minutes; vowing to return. They never did, and we spent Labor Day weekend shoveling the mess left out in or front yard, as Champion Plumbing was giving us the run-around. The sun was hot, the work was difficult, and neighbors passed by with shocked looks on their faces. Champion finally fixed their mistake in the end, however, because of how disastrous the whole ordeal was, I believe my mother is entitled to a complete refund. We had to replace the kitchen cabinets, stove, etcetera that were all soaked in sewage. Go ahead and look up sewage in the kitchen sink, you will not find many results. I tried contacting even the company license holder; Jeff M Stanley, with a letter requiring a signature, to no avail. I hope that someone from Champion Plumbing will contact me or my mother to resolve this issue. We are currently in talks with a legal advisor; hopefully it will not need to go to the courts, but who knows. read more

I should have read their reviews PRIOR to hiring them - Don't make that mistake!! The girl who schedules is super unprofessional - might be her age but she acts like she has the authority to speak on behalf of the owner and make decisions - which will end up biting the true business owner in the butt. My neighbor below said there was a leak coming from my unit, after scheduling 3 times Champion sent a nice and educated tech out. He said there were no visible signs of leaks and used his moisture tester to determine the walls, floors etc showed no evidence of moisture in my unit. The office refuses to send me that report. They refuse to send me an invoice. They want to refer my neighbor below to a water remediation company they partner with for a 10% referral fee. I just want a $0 invoice to prove to the HOA that I called a plumber and they found nothing leaking - how difficult is that? Now I have to subpoena them because my lower unit neighbor is suing me and HOA. This all could have been avoided with a simple invoice. Hope their Millenial answering the phone is replaced - she caused Champion Plumbing a mess of trouble coming their way. read more

If you want a tankless hot water heater installed for your home. Please do not contact this company. They charged me 4500 dollars and It still not working properly. It took a week and a half to get it running but the pressure is not functioning properly. I was left hanging with promises that they will have it working and til this day I am still waiting. Wow, so these guys started out amazing and then it all went down the drain. I had them re-pipe my entire home for the cost of about $28,000. Then paid them another almost $5,000 to come in and reinstall the tub, shower components in both bathrooms and I now have only one finished bathroom. The other one it has been two weeks of calling and BRGGING to get them to come out and install the remaining bathrooms shower components. I keep being told tonight or tomorrow and no one shows and the calls have stopped. They did show up on a Saturday with no prior notice and I was not home and my phone was off as I was at a kids game. I was told at that time that they would be by that night. Again, no call no show. I told the owner that you really are leaving me no choice but to call the ROC and file a complaint. That did not even light a fire to get them here. Apparently, they are a take the money and run kind of operation. It is really disappointing since they had done such a great job initially but at this point they have completely failed on the finishing of the job and follow up. I keep being told we are busy and on another job well what about the clients whom paid you al ready and you have not completed their job? I guess once they have your money you are not important. As a small business owner I fell horrible about being forced to write bad reviews and file complaints with the ROC but they really have left me no choice. I would not pay them for the final job until it is 100% done. As you might NEVER see them again. I found Champion thru a Hone Advisor referral service and I'm so glad I hired them! I've been having stoppages in my kitchen sink for over a month. After getting a quote from the company I'd been dealing with (Sunny Plumbing) of $900, I decided to shop around. The plumber that came out today did a hydro-jetting down the kitchen line to clear the blockage. He was very professional, courteous, and best of all did NOT try to sell on additional services. Had a leak in the main waterline but was not sure where. Called Champion for leak detection and got appointment for the next day. Before the leak detection guy gets here I find the area of the leak and get to digging. Had 90% of the hole dug when the plummer (not a leak detection guy) arrived. Told him where I thought the leak was and he jumped in the hole, took a few shovels of mud out and said that since it was under the slab it would be about $1,500. I was able to get him down to $1,000 and he "started" the job. I ended up turning the water on to help pin point the leak (a few inches to the left, not under the slab). After about 30-45min of being on the job he left to go get parts and was gone for hours. I left the house and he came back shortly after I left. He had the leak fixed by the time I got back an hour later but due to the hole being full of water he opted to come back the next day to fill the hole and fix up the yard. Due to rain that night he did not show or call. 5 days later I had the hole filled and yard fixed and they wanted full payment. I refused and was only willing to pay half. Boss man showed up with no introduction, no uniform, no work trucks, looking like a thug of the street corner claiming I'm refusing to make any payment. The way he was aggressively talking to me I felt he was ready to fight me. After I explained my view he finally said aggressively for me to "pay what you feel the job is worth and he will deal with it." I asked what he ment "deal with it" and he said "we will be done and he will write the rest off." So I paid the employee $500 and think that will be the last I will see if them. I would not recommend using Champion for any large jobs and definitely would not sign anything or pay anything until your happy with the final job. read more

The sewer line failed on my rental house. I reached out to Champion Plumbing. They replaced (at considerable expense) the line. That's when my experience with them WENT DOWN THE TOILET ! Their office lady called me at 8:00 o'clock on Thursday night asking for me to pay their bill. At that point in time , I hadn't received their bill. I told her that I would pay the bill after I got it. Between that Thursday night and the following Monday morning. I got SEVEN phone calls from different people within their organization asking for payment. I had even sent an Email to their field superintendent saying that I would settle up on Monday and to stop calling as I was feeling harassed big time. If I could give negative stars I would. If your on a time line these guys are not the company to hire. They schedule a time and show up 6 hours late stay for an hour and take a 4 hour lunch to return with a different crew than originally started the job. If you are going through your insurance company check your receipt for the correct t name and address. These guys are a bunch of clowns. The owners son promised to be here at 8 sharp showed up at 8:15 and played on his phone for 1/2 hour in his van never came to the door. I went and asked when they were going to start and his 8 sharp turned into I don't have parts or glue to finish plumbing the new line. I called them for a clogged bathroom drain. Alan was available the same day, used an electric cable and cleared it out. In August of 2016 I called them to clean out another clogged drain in the kitchen. They fixed the plumbing issue and the cost was only $69 both in 2016 and 2018. Overall I just would not call this company out again. The lack of communication in between their employees and customers is very poore When you say you're gonna be somewhere qnd your running late, that's when you pick up a phone call and say Hey I am not coming or running late so people don't decide around a wait for them. Then you tell them what time you are available they show up beforehand do not wait for you to get off work in 15 minutes turn around and leave. Just overall very poor customer service. I'm a senior citizen (woman) who had a main water leak. I got a quote and choose this company. (by the way the cost was more). Now I have a pressure problem with my water so I've been calling for estimates and all of the other plumbing companies said that the pressure valve was supposed been put on when they did the work. I feel like they took advantage of my ignorance and did not do what they were paid to do. Terrible service-super unfortunate. We have had a few large issues over the years and Champion did a great job with the projects. This was not the case this past week. Justin arrived without any tools and had to borrow items from us. He didn't turn off the water before taking apart the sink and flooded and soaked everything under the sink. Then left the house to get a part without notifying us that everything was soaked. He was unmotivated to fix our issue and seemed to find reasons to continue to leave. The final time he left, he never reached out for follow up, finally hours later we got a hold of him and he said he'd have to order a part and would come back after the weekend. He left our bathroom completely taken apart and unusable. After calling the main office multiple times to reach Justin or anyone to help, we were shuffled off and eventually told we are no longer customers of Champion and to find a new plumbing company. My experience with this company was so bad I had to wait a year to calm down just to write this review. I expected to find they were out of business by now since they were the worst plumbers I had ever dealt with. I had a plumbing disaster which I was told would take a few weeks for them to complete, but it ended up taking 4 months. Although the plumber was a nice guy, he was ALWAYS late (sometimes by hours) when he did show up, but half the time they never showed up. They had to dig two holes in my house and dig up concrete floors and dirt, and left piles in the front and back of the house. When they FINALLY finished I had to call them NUMEROUS times before they finally showed up again to clean up the mess they left. They charged me a LOT of money and were supposed to charge two payments on my credit card 1/2 when they started, and 1/2 when they were done. They lied about that and charged the second payment the day after they charted the 1st payment. The receptionist person was one of the most unprofessional nasty person I ever dealt with. She sounded like she was 12 years old, but acted like she ran the place. She was hideous. The entire experience was a nightmare. For an hour of "work" plumber named Forest presented $550.00 bill!?!? This bill was for running snake 10 ft (which took about 15 min) and replacing garbage disposal. Most discussing situation I have ever been in my life. Not only that I was surprised, speechless and disappointing, I'm discussed with explanation of pricing. Plumber explanation of high price is because they are professionals and they do big jobs and this is small job so it's expensive. While he was "working"he showed me picture of some work they can do which he called Hydro blast and they charge $500.00 for that. At the end, he presented price higher than that treatment which is most expensive. I should be given price before he started- That would be professional not just word "professional" that company claims that's what they are. He was about giving "discount" $50....... (like I should be happy to have $50?????) and he called it "Discount"????? That was not discount, it was part of RIP-OFF. I called Champion Plumbing after my entire home was completely backed up and they arrived within the hour and really saved the day for me. The technician they sent was very well trained and was quick to diagnose and fix my problem, and after completing the task at hand I was given a free camera inspection to show me exactly what was wrong and where. After a very unprofessional initial contact with the Office Manager to schedule an appointment, I still went with the company to find and clear a blockage in my bathroom. Although they say they have cameras on every job, they did not and had to come back the next day. Upon determining the blockage, the owner strongly encouraged me to file an insurance claim and called out a restoration company. Jason the owner and the owner of the restoration company assured me it would be an easy process and I'd get back all of the money paid to Champion with the exception of about $300. The blockage was removed, a cleanout that I did not ask for was installed for $2,300. Two weeks later, the insurance company had not received an invoice from the plumbing company (I had a copy that I provided the insurance), but had determined less than half of what I paid would be reimbursed. I contacted the owner who appeared shocked the insurance had made a determination without his invoice sent. I was more shocked that after 2 weeks he had not sent his invoice. He did send the invoice to the insurance company, (the same invoice I had provided). The insurance reiterated that they appropriate amount had been paid. I never heard from the plumbing company again. This company is an insurance scammer, stay away! read more
