We had three new windows put in by Champion Windows. Mario and his partner did a fantastic job. Both were very personable, knowledgeable and worked quickly. Our windows came out better than we expected. We ordered the triple pane for better insulation. Mario was very professional. We have had the best experience with Champion. New window ordered and replaced in April2026 is the wrong size. currently being held in place by foam and shims. Sunroom never was installed correctly. Champion designed it, drew it up and built something completely different. They've refused to for over 10 years to do anything about it. Sunroom had several leaks over the years which they attempted to address by letting some 3rd grader with a caulk gun slop silicone sealer all over the glass, the frame, and anywhere else they could possibly slather it and not care to make it look professional. Recently had the glass in the two doors replaced as their seal was leaking causing the doors to fog up inside and look cloudy. The glass was placed under the warranty plus the price of a service call, and again they slopped black sealer all over both glass doors, damaged the interior pull handle by knocking the paint off it and walked away because they lack integrity and will never take responsibility for their workmanship. The sunroom is not mine, it's on my mother's house and she's fought this company for well over a decade and now that she has cognitive issues at 87 years old I have to take over. We've had all Champion windows on our whole house since 2010, and are very pleased with them, but the customer service has plummeted. You can't call the local showroom, because the "local" number is actually answered in Ohio! Their website shows their address, but when you click "Get directions", you get a Google map showing them in the middle of an intersection! When we replaced our back door, I got 3 estimates, and when the Champion guy came, I discovered that he was actually writing up an order, not an estimate. When I made courtesy calls to let him & the other estimate know I'd picked a different company, he was downright obnoxious, insisting I should cancel that order and buy from them. I would give them zero stars if I could. This company is terrible. Would not recommend these people at all. The installed 8 windows for us on all sides of our home and didn't seal them correctly. Now all of our siding is rotting and they have been stalling for months to even come take a look at the damage they have done. We had a very bad experience with these folks. Except for the installer/builder I could not even rate one star. Starting with the salesman who over promised things like a finished floor, removal of a concrete pad and the start date. I truly don't think he knew what he was selling. They were over 30 days late for the start of my sunroom. This is no big deal except when you make this big of a purchase you want the thing now. Once started, the installer was great and did an excellent job. Finishing was another story. "We don't do floors", was the answer to my quire on the floor. Unfinished underlayment is not my idea of a quality job. I expected more from Champion. Here again the salesman fell short. The original quote called for a 6-foot deck, suitable for a grill, off the door and a step down to the grade landing. Well, the 6 foot would have placed the railing right in the middle of the door. No one thought..... Getting that extra foot was a chore. Champion finally agreed at no additional cost. The room was built on a raised deck to match the elevation of my back door. This left an exposed under area that needed to be enclosed to keep animals out and make the project look good. I was quoted $950 for this skirting which I turned down. A lot of money for a small job. In the end I think they pulled the installer a day early. The cleanup of the site was minimal. Landscaping was not returned to a preconstruction look. They left piles of rock that I specifically asked to be moved laying where they dug them up. A large electrical conduit that I had used to run a hot tub was left partially buried by the landing concrete and strung all over the landscape. Additionally, there were sone minor electrical raceway finishing touches that needed attention. It's the little things that I thought Champion stood for. Over the course of this build they fired the salesman and the construction manager. Probably a good move. I was now dealing with a regional guy who, with a little understanding and probably two hours of labor, would have made me a happy camper. Instead, I was forced to call repeatedly to get my project closed out. Finally, the regional guy came back with a quote of $2,500 to move the rocks, conduit and install the skirting. I was not happy. I learned today that the building permit is still open and awaiting final inspection. This is from FEBURARY! Not what I expected from Champion! read more

4 reasons to look elsewhere! 1. DON'T OWN UP TO MISTAKES - Champion called us nearly half a year after our install and asked if we made the final payment. We were doing a lot of remodeling at the time so we didn't track every expense but assumed we paid because what kind of business forgets to ask for their money? They said they changed accounting systems so they might have lost track of it and asked us to check our records (for the past half year). It is difficult to track down a single expense and even more difficult to fork up thousands of dollars unexpectedly. They were unapologetic and cold about the situation and just demanded we pay immediately or they would send us to collections. Such a poor way to treat a customer. 2. SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER PRICES - I wished I would have gotten more quotes. Only the second time around did I realize how much cheaper their major competitors are with identical specs on window and warranty. This was even during Champion's "best sale ever" BOGO event. 3. PUSHY/GIMMICKY SALES PROCESS - They demand that both homeowners be present to pressure you into making a decision on the spot. They come with gimmicky sales demonstrations and the whole process took over an hour. If you don't like pushy sales people and want a no-frills quote, I'd look elsewhere. 4. MESSY INSTALLERS - The installers left multiple very noticeable marks on our walls. They wiped off with a magic eraser but I had to get up on a ladder to reach it. read more

Champion will talk a great game and then not follow through on their promises. They will not fix anything under warranty as soon as they leave your property. I have been trying to get them to fix things for YEARS. They always put you on hold and try to get you to give up. They tell you it will be months before a repair can be made and then never actually schedule it. An absolutely terrible company with no desire for customer service once they have secured their money. Beware. They advertise that you will have a lifetime guarantee on the exorbitant amount of money you pay them for whatever service they are providing for you, but it is a lie. I'm taking a chance posting this because we have not yet resolved our issues with Champion. However, I should have done more research before engaging Champion to work on our porch & don't want others to make similar mistakes. We engaged this company in early August 2022 to install windows and a sliding glass door so we could finish off our porch. Initially, everything went smoothly. Windows and door were being installed within 6 weeks. However, the door had been ordered incorrectly and did not align with a concrete step that was there when the measurements were taken. Champion agreed to order a new door. 8+ weeks went by and after several calls, we finally located the "door" and scheduled an install date. When the installers showed up, they didn't have the full door, but only a single panel. We had been told an entire new door had been ordered when the mistake was made. However, someone at Champion apparently changed the order without communication to us. The part was not workable and could not be installed. We are now being told another 6 to 8 weeks. It's December 2022. We have been paying on the 12 month loan for 4 to 5 months and still do not have what was promised. I also feel badly for some of the employees. They truly thought a new door had been ordered and appeared to be surprised that the order had been changed (although none of them specifically said it.) In fact, I think that's why it took us a bit to track it down. The customer service associate we were working with was looking for A DOOR not a single panel! We attempted to ask for discounts for the inconvenience, but have been shut down at every turn. No attempt to make it right other than reordering a "door", twice, that they messed-up. Looking at other reviews, this clearly is not unusual for this company. I will say the installers have all been great and apologetic, but we cannot offer any recommendation of this company. DO NOT USE Champion. They have been out 4 times in the last 6+ months trying to diagnose a problem with a sliding glass door. The final diagnosis was a bent frame and the entire door needs to be replaced. The new door was supposed to be ordered over 4 weeks ago but has not. I have talked to the supervisor, corporate and have gone to the the store but no one can tell me why the door has not yet been ordered. We have been ghosted. read more

Our experience with Champion Sunroom was excellent when installed and needed minor adjustments, but since then it has been horrible. Developed leak last summer with a hard rain. Called Champion and discussed issue with them. They informed us that they were in transition with getting a new service manager, and they would follow up as soon as he /she was trained. Winter came and snow fell and so did the the follow through. Called on 04/24/2020 and got a hold of the service mgr. He came out a couple days later and inspected the gable roof and told my wife that he would send someone out to repair. I called back in the middle of May and requested that we get someone back out to fix. Was told that they would be out, never came. Finally on Monday the 08/09/2020 someone came out, talked to my wife and said yes it needed attention and that she would send her crew out that day to repair. Didn't leave her name or card. Called Champion again on Wednesday 08/11/2020. Finally they got me threw to the manager in charge of Sunrooms. He had to read the notes that were previously sent of the above mentioned people. He told me the person that inspected our roof was not a Champion representative but an inspector for a roofing company that was to so the repair. They got a hold of the roofing company and they informed me that the roofer would be out to repair on Friday the 14th. Today is Friday the 14th and we have not received a call nor seen anyone resembling a Champion, or Roofing employee. Needless to say the customer service with the Lenexa office, and corporate office is horrible. We will never buy another product from Champion Windows, Doors, or Sunroom. read more

If I could have selected less than one star I would have. In May we contracted with Champion to have a 12 X 12 sunroom installed. The sales person said that since we are not in the city limits and do not have an HOA there would be no problem getting an installation done in less than 6 months. A week from today will be 6 months exactly and they cannot even give me a date that the installation will begin, let alone finish. Over a month ago the installation manager said that he would call me weekly with scheduling updates. I have not received one phone call since then. I have also left messages for the general manager that have gone without a response. If you are looking to have a sunroom installed in the Kansas City area I suggest you go elsewhere - I can assure you that I would have if I had known it was going to be such a fiasco! read more

Come Spring 2023 will be a year when I reported water damage from improper installation of a sliding door. They said it's covered under warranty but I am still waiting for them to fix it. The follow up is poor and periodically I call to get informed the same BS. Probably won't buy the rest of my windows from Champion or future business. read more

We ordered windows and a door months ago. The order came in and we felt pressured to schedule the install. the issue was, we had ordered a new hot tub and we had to wait for it to come in before we could order the install as they needed the door cut out in order to get the hot tub in. The hot tub got delayed so we went ahead and ordered a hot tub that was already in for $3500 more then the original one we ordered, so we could accommodate the windows/door install. Well, come to find out, one of the windows was damaged and they had to order a new one. That was well over a month ago (was told by sales person it would take about 2 weeks on a rush order). we could have kept the original hot tub we ordered for way less money. Champion did come out and put the door in so we could get the hot tub delivered/installed, but the door is still not finished, the lock does not work and the trim is not done and we STILL DO NOT HAVE THE WINDOWS. I have left multiple messages for the install supervisor as well as our sales person with no return call. We have been told multiple times that the window should be in and will be getting a call on a certain date to schedule. the date comes and goes and i never get a call and i cannot leave a message because the mail box is full. We were thinking of redoing our front and back doors as well, but we will not be using Champion Windows. Like read more

Don't even think about using this company for window work. We had some windows replaced on the front of our house, one of which also needed to have some boards replaced around the window frame (not the frame itself). That part of the work was never done, but they have nonetheless been hounding us about making the last payment (and have for some time), which we would gladly do if we considered the job finished. Champion has made it obvious they are not going to do anything to make this right, but are nonetheless still insisting on being paid for an incomplete job. If there were no other window company around I would figure out how to do it myself before I would hire CHUMPion. Fortunately there are other window companies around, so if even only one person reads this and it causes him/her to hire someone other than CHUMPion, I will consider it a service to the community. Absolutely the MOST HORRIBLE customer service I have ever experienced in my history as a consumer. We purchased a home in which an all-seasons room was already installed by this company. So we just needed a few small repairs (lock on screen door and lock on window fixed) done. I figured it would be an easy process. But instead it took multiple times calling them, leaving messages with the lady that answers the phone, for anybody to ever call me back and finally schedule a time to come out. So over a month after the initial call, they finally came out and made the needed repairs. That service was fine, but then we realized the screen door latch wasn't actually fixed when we almost locked ourselves out one day because it wouldn't open from the outside. Since it wasn't urgent (weather was getting cold, so we weren't using that door often), I didn't call again until 2 days before Thanksgiving when we noticed that there was water leaking from the center beam in the ceiling in the room. We didn't know if it was condensation, since we had a heater on in the room or what, but we were about to go out of town so I was hoping I could at least get some advice from someone there. So I called, left a message with the same lady that takes messages (and can't give any answers or do anything besides that). AND HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK. (thankfully, we put down towels and didn't notice any more water dripping from the ceiling/beam the next day, so we left on our trip as planned and haven't had an issue with it again). How hilarious is it that it has now been 3 weeks since I called and have never gotten a return call? Not very. Will NEVER recommend any CHAMPION product to anyone I know. read more

ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service of any company that I have dealt with. They don't even deserve the one star on this review. I have been trying to get some drafty window fixed since Feb and it's now the end of June. It took 2 months just to get a call to get service scheduled. The service technician finally came out on 24 May and said that he would have to order a couple of windows. He also removed several screens that needed fixed and said that he would bring them back with the new windows. On 25 Jun I finally managed to get ahold of someone in customer service and found out that it takes 10-12 weeks to get windows replaced!! At NO time when the technician tell me this when he was at my house. If he had I would have fixed the screens myself so I could open the windows when the weather was nice. Editing this review. All the facts below are true but it seems the issues with my sunroom have been at least temporarily solved. When they sent a person out to deal with the latest group of issues he discovered that there were places where I sunroom hadn't been caulked properly (i.e. not at all) and since then things have been better. However, if next year turns out like every other year so far then I will probably have leaks again in the Spring. I had Champion come out to put a sunroom on my house. In less than two years they've had to send techs out more than a half dozen times to plug leaks in one of the seams in the ceiling. These patches seem to last a few months or until the next big rain and the process starts all over again. Over the past few months during heavy rain I've also seen water pooling in one corner of my sunroom by the sliding glass door, not through a leak in the ceiling but coming in from somewhere else. The last time Champion came out the patched and told me all was good. This was less than a month ago. Big storm last night and guess what happened? Yep. Water damage. Major water damage in that same corner which may have destroyed my carpet. The people are cordial and easy to talk to (when you can get ahold of them, which isn't always easy). I don't know if it was improper installation or simply bad products but there's obviously something seriously wrong that even after multiple attempts their workers seem incapable of fixing. read more

Called CHAMPION and said we can't afford this price so if you're going to show us windows like this we should probably cancel our consult. I was assured there was no reason to cancel. They would show me many different window options to fit any budget. I said great, so we kept the appointment. We had all new windows and sliding glass door installed like 8 years ago, and home siding installed 2 years after that. Our experiences with the presentation, contracts, and installs were great. Couple of years ago, the seal must have snapped on the sliding glass door because it got cloudy. Champion cheerfully manufactured and replaced within 6-8 weeks for a $99 service charge, which we were happy to pay. Our heating and cooling bills dropped quite a bit with the window install and even more with the siding. The siding was awesome because they were able to offer vertical batten board which is dominant in my neighborhood. The siding also reduced outside noise. We are glad we did business with Champion Windows. read more

I've had Champion Windows for at least 14 years. While I have had problems with the windows losing their seal and gas escaped, Champion always replaces them at no extra charge. I've even had them replace extra large patio door windows and that was done at no extra charge. I have received nothing but excellent customer service. Champion of Lenexa doesn't care about customer concerns, nor common courtesy. Had a rep. come out to give estimate on needing two windows replaced. Unbeknownst to us, existing windows are Champion - installed thirteen years ago. Rep. looked at windows and immediately stated "... but not covered under any warranty." - again, the windows are only thirteen years old; doesn't say much about the quality and lifespan of their product. Rep. showed little interest in doing the job, stayed just under 10 minutes before stating an estimate would be called in within 48 hours. Haven't heard a word from anyone at Champion. Can't help but wonder if they're avoiding us due to not wanting to replace the poor quality of their windows which have failed after a mere 13 years. read more

I called install today and have not had a return phone call. All I want is to know when the windows will be installed but I just keep getting "I am asking" texts and no answers. Worst customer service ever. They take your money and give you an awesome guarantee, but then make excuses and take no responsibility when something goes wrong. Their guarantee sounds great, but it's worthless because they will not fix anything, and just try to say it's not their fault. They are also very, very rude. I cannot believe the way I was spoken to by their service guy that came out to my house. He said the leak was our fault, because of the leaves in the gutters. He then showed us pictures of some gutters full of leaves, and said that was ours. After he left, my husband climbed on the roof to clean out the gutters. They were not full of leaves. I am not sure what the pictures where he showed us, but it was not an accurate representation of our gutters. There was one area where he pushed all the leaves to the side, and made a big pile. i'm pretty sure this is the area he photographed. All of the caulk on the inside of my very expensive sunroom has turned yellow, and looks terrible. I was told by the employee that it was a non-issue. He said it could be cleaned, and the reason it was yellow was because it was dirty. I asked how to clean it, he said use a magic eraser. I asked him to show me, since I had tried cleaning it already and it stayed yellow. He used mineral spirits and a magic eraser to clean it, and it was still yellow. He told me it was a non issue, that if it was his sunroom he would not care about the yellow caulk. I said that was unacceptable, because it looks so very bad. The employee then lost his mind, told me he would not be spoken to that way, and stomped off. As he was leaving, he yelled at me, "the caulk is not covered under the warranty. check your contract!". I told him I would be calling his corporate office, and he said, "go ahead. the number is 1-800- I don't care." I spent over $30,000 on a sunroom that leaks and looks terrible, and have yet to have it fixed properly. I have been in tears on more than one occasion because of the way I have been spoken to by the employees and managers at this location. I have called corporate, and they assure me that they will fix the situation. I hope they do. Corporate is very kind, so obviously rudeness is not a company wide issue, just the Kansas City office. It's not worth the headache. Go somewhere else. The manager over the rude employee assures me that he wants to fix this situation, so we shall see. If this situation gets resolved, I will update this review with new details to reflect that. I hope I can report back with good news soon! read more

This is by far one of the worst businesses I've had dealings with. Upfront Champion does not tell you about any financing information other than that there is interest free with no payments for one year. I was lied to about how much the monthly payments would be. I was told it would be $60 a month. It turns out it's $193 a month. After the first year they charged you 26.6% interest. They did not ask me to sign anything about the financial information instead Green sky sends out a letter and the day they call you, and they have already given money to Champion Windows. Champion places the order without even confirmation. When I talked with a supervisor, he demonizes me and argues over the phone like I'm the one that messed up when it's obvious they were scamming me. Do not use this company! read more

Thanks to Champion i'm no longer embarrassed by the looks of my home. The windows are great! I went with 4 casement windows to replace what had been the 1952 picture window with two small side double hung. The change in the looks of the house is amazing. The night after the installation the temperature dropped to freezing and i could tell the draft from the old windows was gone. I can't give enough praise to the two men who installed the windows. They started at 9am and by 6pm all windows had been installed, the mess cleaned and they even offered to install any blinds that had been removed. I initially consulted with Howard as a sales person 3 yrs ago when i considered purchasing. I held off until now but requested the same salesman. From sales to installation, i couldn't have been more impressed with the overall experience. read more

Hey Everyone! I wanted to share our experience with Champion windows to possibly save you from the situation we have recently been dealing with. We had a leak in our home and called Champion to see if they might be able to come out and tell us if the window was the issue. We were informed by the estimator that our window was in terrible shape, rotting all over and it needed to be replaced immediately. We took them at their word and ordered a new large arched picture window for around $3000. After being a few weeks late with the install and a lot of headaches up to this point, the new window was installed today. The installer asked why we were replacing it and I told him about our leak and what the estimator has said. He proceeded to tell me he wanted to be honest with me and said the window wasn't in bad shape and he didn't think it would cause a leak. There was a small section on one out of the three windows he removed that was rotten but the seal around the entire window was intact and in good shape. He wasn't even sure why we needed to replace it. My husband just spoke with the owner of the company and he told us he didn't believe his installer said that and he won't be doing anything for us. His only words were, "I am sorry you feel that way." We weren't expecting much but as a small business owner, I expected something other than being told he didn't believe our story. I would steer clear of them! You want to be able to trust the words and advice given to you by a professional and Champion has proved to us that they don't deserve that trust. Worst company ever! Absolutely awful experience at every turn!! We asked to be fully indemnified for the large crack put in the driveway by the dumpster. It stretches about 15 feet in total length and is very noticeable on what had been a clean looking driveway. (See attached picture) While discussing the driveway crack the project manager Mick Atwell got hot headed once again, enough that my mother thought there was going to be a fist fight. He was very disrespectful, unprofessional, raising his voice and trying to intimidate us all in front of the division manager Brent Luettel and Brent wasn't doing anything about it! After several minutes of this I finally told him that any employer I've ever worked for, if I talked to a customer the way he was talking to me they would fire me on the spot. At that point the division manager began quieting the project manager up and sent him around back to correct work. It's hard to believe champion being an A+ rated BBB member would allow an employee to talk to their customers the way he talked to me. While we were trying to discuss the crack the dumpster put in our driveway the hothead project manager also threatened to put a lien on the house! Our family is not full of money, this is the only house my 78-year-old mother has to live in. Her monthly income isn't that much and she is not in any position to have her home taken from her! So we proceeded cautiously under threat of losing our house to this "A+ rated" BBB member. The project managers experience is either not good or out dated. The deck and landing that they built were not up to current building codes. They failed the city inspection for multiple code violations. They built us a deck such that it was possible a child's head could get stuck between the balusters and the stairs they built on the landing were unsafe and could have caused someone serious injury. I emailed them before the start of the business day on Monday, October 20 listing out a host of things that we needed corrected/resolved. One of those things was that the stairs stringer had just two boards attached underneath holding the stairs up. This was not up to code and was not safe. Decks are actually the most dangerous part of the home structure from statistics that I've read. More people are killed or seriously injured on decks than any other part of the home structure because of unsafe building techniques. We went with champion because we believed we could trust that an"A+" rated BBB company would know how to build a sunroom/deck/landing that it is safe and up to current building codes. Upon further online research I've now come across a lot of other consumers who have also had bad experiences with champion. Some are even claiming that the windows and other products we bought from champion are not manufactured by Champion as the salesman represented to us. They're saying the windows are actually Cardinal Glass Company E366 glass. I'll have to look into this further but the salesman definitely told us that they manufacture all of their own windows and sunrooms at their factory in Cincinnati. If that is not the case then there may be some product mis-representation here as well. I'm not really sure what else we could do to protect people from these types of business practices. I think it would be fair the BBB in Kansas City and Cincinnati downgrade this company from the A+ BBB rating that they currently hold. read more
