So disappointing. They were out of the most popular beer on tap, saw our waitress once! Other people delivered our food, appetizer came with meal, meal was late and over cooked!! I had to go to the bartender to get my bill. Not crowded at all. Sports bar TVs were tuned to PBS! No rolls with salad, never told us about the specials, did not ask us if we wanted lettuce and tomatoes on our burgers! We always order chicken fingers, they were always delicious here, not yesterday!!They have changed from real chicken to fake chicken fingers like you can get at Macs for a ton less money, they were gross. BAD MOVE on your part Champions Pub. the waitress stated that whoever it is that does the ordering changed to the FAKE ones, someone want to let him know not a good business decision, and it took forever to get our dinners yesterday, everyone in there were looking around to see why they we so slow being cooked. read more

Not Impressed as I was visiting friends in the area and was told to visit this joint. No clean tables whatsoever, waited 15mins for a table to open since there is no hostess to seat let alone anyone greet you here. Sat down to a dirty table with no one to clean it for 15mins, then a man came by and said he didn't see that we had seated at the table, here's some advice this place isn't bigger than a closet so find that hard to believe, hire a hostess and a bus boy to maintain the mess in the place, I'm appalled by the amount of trash on the floor and no one to attempt to clean it. A call to the health and safety dept may close this place down due to multiple violations I see as it is. Overall food looks great but clean up the act. I know it was busy but regardless you're running a business... I would like to return to see improvements if I'm in the area again. read more

After reading the reviews here my husband and I were craving red meat and were psyched to try Champions. We ordered a few steak tip dinners to go and when we got home were soooo dissapointed. The fries were soggy and the steak tips were super tough, way overcooked (medium well when I ordered rare) and had a strange aftertaste to them. Just ordered take out and I'm taking off a star (that's being generous). The fried haddock was BAD. I mean smell, taste and it was soggy. I'm lucky if I don't get sick. The lettuce in my salad was all brown (every single piece) and tomato (YES, SINGULAR) mushy. That's what I get apparently for ordering anything other than the steak tips (which ARE the best in the area), first AND last time. And when you bring it to their attention they laugh in your face by encouraging you to go elsewhere. After reading about the steak tips, my friend and I both decided to try them. They are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Best steak tips I've ever had! And huge portions, so I went home with a big doggy bag. Unfortunately, I also went home without my credit card (left it there by mistake). But when I called, the person on the phone was super friendly and said he would hang onto it for me. After hearing some good things about this place I finally made it there last night. Fairly crowded for a Tuesday which may have lead to the half hour wait for a disappointing meal. A small salad with a decent dressing but no bread. Steak Tips? Ordered medium but received them well done. Another thing, I didn't know that skirt steak was another term for steak tips. Ordered take out. All was good but there was a dead beetle in the rice. I get that stuff happens beyond control sometimes so im not rating this cause of the bug. My problem was that i tried calling for 4 hours to tell them about it and no one answered then the line was off the hook. I already drove all the way home and didn't want to go back. So I tried calling at least 25 times that night. Couldn't get in touch with anyone. I guess that's why im a little upset about it. I paid $30 for dinner that I couldn't eat because there was a dead insect in it and I couldn't let them know about it. I don't like the way they operate so we probably won't go back. Great food..... you just have to be willing to wait 50 minutes to get it. The steak tips are everything other reviewers have said GREAT!! But the service is poor (due to long wait time). The staff is friendly but there are minimal and they are super busy so even to get a drink refilled takes chasing down. The bar is kind of a dive (kind of dark/dim, not very updated, only 1 bathroom stall) and has a poor setup for seating. Food takes way too long to come out of the kitchen but it you have the time to wait the food is worth the wait. read more

Like everybody else says, the steak tips here are out of control. They are juicy, tender and cooked just right. The onion rings (homemade) and jap pops (maybe home made) were tasty and very crispy. Well, well, well - who knew? We unfortunately had a wake to attend in Peabody of a close friend's father and needed to eat afterwards. It was five of us total. When we arrived, the place looked like a dive with a huge puddle of water in front of the door. So after I swam across the moat, I went inside and was pleasantly suprised. We had to split up between two tables, but that was ok - girls and guys. We needed to catch up! The waiters were quick and funny as they served us our first beers and took our orders. The place was clean and bright and full of people. So I knew we made the right choice. So onto the important stuff --- the steak tips --- were the best I ever had. It was like my Dad grilled them at home. I also cheated with onion rings, which were a treat. Everyone else had the steak tips and I am guessing from the silence, the were all totally happy too. There are not a lot of places as I walk out the door, I am already planning on coming back, but this is one of them. Looks like a total dive from the outside, but heavenly steak tips inside. No frills kind of place, but maybe they could use a "frill" or two. However, I'm sure that's what the clientele here is used to and expects. The steak tips are world class and in this area that says a lot. But fellas it's 2018 you could put a little heart into those pathetic salads. Yeah...the steak tips are that good. pricy, but good, and you get what you pay for. There's also a wait time on 'em but trust me, it's worth it. If you don't wanna spend so much one of the best deals is the kielbasa dog. a sub-sized monster of a sandwich, it comes with fries and pickles and will leave you stuffed for 4.50 or so. also way less of a wait time. Fries are meh but the dog itself is really really good. A solid standby off the beaten path in peabody with great service. Highly recommended. read more

I went here for dinner one night. Very much a bar. Do not park across the street as you will get your car towed. I had the tips combo which was a choice of some different meats. I got steak and lamb. Both tasted great. Also had a side salad which was ok. Lots of TVs and small pub feeling. They did accept my AmEx card. read more
