Don't expect to be wowed by this place, it's a dive bar. However as others have mentioned, their tips are worth a try. It seems like lately the portions have gotten smaller and the prices are going up...the cost of doing business I suppose? Service is notoriously slow and understaffed. Best steak tips in the world. What else is there to say? Mai Tai Thursday once a month is a nice addition. Best Mai tai's around. If you don't get the tip dinner try the cheesesteak with cooked onions. Mind blowing. Their burger is also really good. No frills. Good roll and a big patty. You better pack your patience if you go when they're busy though. Small grill with one cook. They do remarkably well considering their set up. Their new parking lot next door helps a lot. Great little sports bar and the food is good. Staff is very pleasant as well. During sporting events maybe a little crowded.

Great food, great service! We have had multiple get together here. 20+ people and they are always happy to accommodate and happy to serve! Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Maybe a couple extra tips would be awesome but their steak tips are soooooo good you always want more even though you are full! I went to Champions to see what the buzz was all about over the steak tips. They were quite tasty. However, I ordered them medium and the 4 strips ranged from medium rare to medium well. Champions has the best steak tips in town!! With that being said The bartender barely paid us any attention. He was so dumbfounded I started to wonder if it was his first day. I never saw him again after I ordered I still to this day wonder if he was actually an employee or maybe just a hologram. Only one person was offered a salad although all meals came with one. I hate to do this since I have loved Champions steak tips for years, but I went there last Wednesday and was very disappointed. I am hoping someone there will take notice of this review and do something about it.. I always look forward to the fresh salad before my steak tips come but this time the lettuce was all wilted and you could tell it was probably sitting in the refrigerator pre-made without any saran wrap over it. The piece of tomato in it was the end piece with the big core still in it. Who would serve that? It was also irritating that all the tables around us got rolls except for us. This has happened before, but the bad salad was a first. It was not that busy when we went, so there should be no excuses. Champions, please don't go downhill! read more

There were 4 of us eating out that night. The server was very friendly and the service was super fast. We would definitely recommend the steak tips! The marinade was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection! We also had the fried shrimp and fried haddock which were also very good. I used to LOVE this place! I hadn't stopped in for about 6 months after going there for years. It's always been the best local place for steak tips & steak fries!! I was shocked when I went in for dinner a few nights ago. We saw the HUGE increase in the menu prices & walked out! An increase of almost $5.00 for the steak tip dinner is OUTRAGEOUS!! Paying that price for a nice restaurant is one thing, but not for a small neighborhood bar, who's prices had always been very reasonable. It was one of my favorite places to go when I wanted the best steak tips around but since they charge $18.00 for the steak tips now, sadly I'm going elsewhere!! :( read more

This place has the worse service ever. Tried 3 weekends in a row to get food. First weekend went into to sit down and no one even acknowledge me it was very busy so I left. Next weekend I called for pick up. They didn't answer the phone for over an hour. ( they do this when it's busy). This weekend I called for pick up again only trying to order 2 steak tip dinners and they told me no it's to busy. Who runs a business like this. Never again. Only go if you want red meat. I went with a group and was the only one who didn't want red meat. They all loved everything they got, but I did not. It's a very small place with a wait staff. I ordered the caesar salad, the chicken parm, the turkey club, and the fish and chips. The waiter told me that there was something wrong with each one when I ordered it, and specifically told me that I should only come for the meat. He said that they lettuce was old, the chicken wasn't very good, the turkey was old, and the fish was frozen. He actually said "if you want a piece of frozen fish taken from the freezer and dropped into a deep fryer for a few minutes, by all means." read more

I've been to Champions many times, however, last few times NOT good. They've always had the best burgers with kaiser rolls, but now the burger taste blah and it was too big to bite. Roll was typical large hamburger roll and not appetizing. Bigger isn't always better. The fries were greasy and blah. The salad was OK. Service was terrible. With four wait staff for at our table, we still were not asked: "is everything OK?" It took too long to get the bill. this is a place I have been going to since tips were $ 9.00 and if you did not want a salad you would get another one. well then they went up to $ 12.00 for 5 tips then they went up to $ 15.00 bucks for tips think it was the old hilltop . well I went for a steak tip dinner the other night and I almost shit $ 18.00 fucking dollars are you shitting me . you get to greedy and you lose a lot of business is it really worth $18.00 bucks ? o ya !! you only get 4 steak tips and no bread & butter was has happen to a good little place good luck my friends you have lost a good customer. bert & ernie read more

Champions by far has the best grill steak tips I have ever tried. All of the food off of the grille there tastes amazing and I thoroughly recommend that everybody tries this place. Good place to go, not overly classy but it isnt a dump, its a good place to just grab a few beers. Steak tips are good, the rest of the food it ok too. The staff is respectful and on task, they are quick without sacrificing the professionalism. Dined there a few times but the scene wasn't for me. It lacked any kind of charm and just didn't feel too welcoming. The service was shy of decent and the kitchen took forever.
