We waited for over half an hour for someone to come by, but in the end, only the waitress returned--this time to tell us that they would give us a "discount" for what had happened, even though, honestly, I don't think we should have had to pay anything at all. My family felt that we were being discriminated against from the moment we arrived; for instance, they seated us at a small table despite there being 8 of us (and larger, unoccupied tables available), and because we were speaking Spanish, they did not treat the incident with the seriousness it deserved. The issue for me was not the chips themselves, but the unprofessional and dismissive manner in which the situation was handled.
