Went back with my team from work (group of 8) and had a great time. Got to try more food and get other opinions. Service was great again and the price is really reasonable for a large group. Really enjoyed our dinner.

What a wonderful meal! We enjoyed the veg Hakka noodles, chole bhature, okra masala, and naan. Each dish was delicious! The bhature were perfect. Portions were good as was the service. The interior was cutely decorated and the restaurant had a nice, lively ambiance for a Saturday night. Love the rock ridge area so would definitely return!

Jot Mahal was previously here for a bit and struggled, Chandi Chowk is now in and made the place pretty cute. It seems like most restaurants in this space get overlooked. It smelled delicious when we walked in and that convinced us we need to stay and eat. Some of the chaat was a bit different than other places, so I wouldn't try compare to Viks or other spots. The paneer masala was a bit too thick which was unusual, I think it needs to be thinned out. It tasted more like a very creamy veggie korma, good flavor but texturally not quite right and heavy feeling. Overall we enjoyed what we ate, the service was good, and we will be back to try more food.

i went for lunch . I ordered Dal , Nan and Chicken tikka masala. Dal was good except for excess salt . The Nan was mediocre. Perhaps they don't have a tandoori oven . The chicken tikka masala was a bad choice . Few pieces of reheated , double cooked meat in slightly sweet. cream sauce . Not my cup of tea .

Wonderful onion pakoda! Not oily, very crisp and piping hot! Loved it!

In the midst of pouring rain, as an Indian, I wanted chaat, chai and pakora :) Came over and found piping hot, crisp, flavorful onion pakora (surprisingly not oily), cutting chai and Chole bhature. They don't have the pani puri yet but I will be back! Bhature were also non oily and slightly on the thicker side. Presented very well but no pics since we jumped on it. Served with smiles on Christmas when they were short staffed was very sweet.

Next time I'll try sitting on their patio; it looks so inviting with its umbrellas. I typically have plain naan with Indian food, but one of my colleagues wanted to try the goat cheese naan and it was sooo delicious and fluffy. I will def order it next time, which I think will be soon. We had tandoori salmon, dahl, butter chicken, vegetable momos, and palak paneer. Everything was super tasty. There were 7 of us, and we ordered 3 basmati rice sides, and one brown rice. We had almost two sides (boxes) of rice left. I think 3 would have been more than plenty. Two people got mango lhassis, and they gave us a free rasmalai dessert at the end, with a candle since the person who is retiring also had a recent birthday. Everyone loved the food and enjoyed the open clean space. I will be back and bring my family here!

I always have to try the momos when trying a new Nepalese place. The momos didn't look close to the picture on the menu. My food looked like it was thrown into the container and shipped off, tumbled, upside down, and sideways. The dumpling wrap was almost on the soggy side. A little more time in the sealed box and they would have been soggy. Overall though, the dish was good with a bit of spice level. This is more of a 3.5 stars than a 4 stars.

They are open again!!…read more I visited Millennium the day of the re-opening in June 2026. I was so happy to find out that the food is still among the best food I've eaten, vegan or not. The new concept is prix fixe dinners on the heated, covered patio, and à la carte inside for walk-ins. I ordered from the à la carte menu and it was awesome. So easy. So delicious. My table ordered the cascatelli pasta, smoky glazed tempeh, coriander & arborio crusted oyster mushroom, and for dessert the summer sundae and chocolate tart. We were sharing so I got a taste of everything. Just amazing. It tastes just as good as before but feels much more approachable and affordable with the new concept. And you can still get the fine dining experience if you want it. I can't wait to go back on a Tuesday to try the pizza. I've heard it described as the best vegan pizza in the Bay Area by people who know what good pizza is, and I can't wait to try it. All food is vegan, and almost everything is gluten free.

You can only order the fixed menu on the patio, and the à La carte menu inside. But it doesn't say that anywhere. This is one of those places that takes a paragraph to describe a dish, but you still won't know what you're getting unless you're the chef because of the descriptions and names that they call things. We decided to stay inside and go à la carte. My family each got the veggie burger, and I went with the pasta. They seemed to like their burgers. I like my food to be a bit more straightforward, so I thought the pasta would be a safe bet. It came with a smear of pesto on the side of the dish which, although looks fancy, made the dish very impractical. Mixed in with the pasta was some arugula and cooked cherry tomatoes which they describe as a confit, but they're not. Just cooked tomatoes. The shape of the pasta was kind of difficult because it splits length wise and makes it impossible to stab with a fork, which you have to do in order to get some of the pesto on it. Over all, it was good, but I think I'd prefer a different shape of pasta and have the pesto on it instead of on the side. One thing that kind of bothered me was that my pasta came with no sides of any kind. And the portion was "fancy" so it wasn't generous. But it was the same price as the burger, which was piled so high that you literally can't fit it into your mouth, and they came with a generous side of veggies. So my family took half of their burger and all their sides home after only eating half each, and I finished my pasta and had room for more. For the same price. So I'd say the pasta is not a good value. Service wise, we had to ask for them to bring drinks that we ordered, even though they weren't busy. The ambiance was ok. Music not too loud, so we were able to talk to each other. I definitely wouldn't have chosen to come here but I guess people like places like this. I just like to know what's going on my food without needing an encyclopedia and a decoder ring.

The food was good, though it felt a touch pricey for what you get. Then again, it's Berkeley, so that's not exactly surprising. One thing I really like is the attached market. It's nice being able to grab chutneys, spices, or bags of garbanzo beans while you're there. The ample parking is also a huge plus, which isn't always easy to find in Berkeley. My biggest complaint is the lack of ice. No ice water, no iced chai, nothing. It's a small thing, but on a warm day it definitely stood out.
