Ordered pad kee mao, pad thai, baby back ribs, spicy fried rice and beef salad for the table to share. Food comes out quickly after placing an order.The spicy fried rice has a kick to it, but a great option if you like spicy. There was no option to select a spice level when we ordered the pad kee mao, and it came out spicy. It doesnt come with basil but instead its stirfried with green beans, red pepper and tomatoes. Can't go wrong with pad thai. It was saucy with all the flavors of sweet, salty and sour. The baby back ribs are a must try! Some pieces have bones, while others do not. The meat is deep fried, but each piece is tender and juicy. It wasn't too greasy and was delicious when paired with the sweet and sour sauce. The grilled beef salad was a refreshing dish tossed with herbs, green apple and red onions in a lime and fish sauce dressing. The one downside was that the beef was a little tough. Its a treat to swing by Imm Thai Street Food because its located in middle of busy downtown Berkeley. I usually get chicken pad thai at a thai food place. So I get very excited when there's something on the menu that would steer me away from the usual. I saw a few things but landed on the Su Kho Thai. It was a sour soup with rice noodles, ground pork, roasted pork and some veggies like bean sprouts. It was delicious! I love the sour taste of the soup with the ground pork flavor. I always wondered about this place when we would drive by it. There was always line, so I thought to myself, it must be good right? We were around the area and actually had time for some dine in. Of course parking was tricky, but eventually someone left and we parked not too far away. The place is a bit small, I guess that's why I always saw people outside. Most recent experience: Table for 8 had 30min wait on Saturday around 6pm which is totally fine and understandable. They hold tables for 5min so your entire group needs to be present. Order was taken in about 5-10min which was great since everyone had enough time to look at the menu. Great food, hit or miss service. Definitely get signed into the Yelp waitlist as Imm Thai is always bustling, even at 3pm on a weekend! -2 stars for service. One of the staff members were so sweet and regularly checked up on everyone, but our main server was incredibly rude. My vegetarian friend wasn't able to eat eggs but the rest of the table could, so we asked kindly if it's possible to just have it put on the side. I understand if they couldn't do it for whatever reason, but we were just met with so much passive aggressiveness for asking. It made the mood very unpleasant. But honestly, I find it strange as most restaurants are pretty understanding of dietary restrictions and can make modifications to cater to their many costumers. I went here on a solo date and it did not disappoint. I walked-in with no reservation, got immediately seated. I contemplated between the pad Thai and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli.
