Goat curry, rice and veggie samosa.

Food is delicious. Had the goat curry, very tender, flavorful and good spice. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Inside is very nice with wonderful decor.

Yummmmm First time coming to Annapurna and ordered 3 main dishes to bring and eat at home! Spent $60 and felt like it was worth it! Salmon curry was good, never had it before and I'm glad I went out of my way to try it. It has a lighter flavor profile in comparison to the tikka masala but that isn't a bad thing! Chicken Tikka was very good and great flavor and seasoned well and not overly creamy. I wish they used chicken thighs over chicken breast but - it's only cuz I'm a dark meat gal when it comes to chicken. Palak Paneer was tasty! Good amount of seasoning and flavor - overall happy! A big basmati rice came with the dishes and the garlic naan was good - not as spectacular as some might suggest but definitely good if you prefer naan over rice! The gulab jamun was a perfect ending! It's like a fried donut hole bathed in simple syrup and there's no complaints here! Definitely will be a returning customer and highly recommend for an Oakland Indian restaurant! The interior vibe was nice and the server was kind and polite even though it was a takeout order.

A hidden gem! I've passed by this location a few times on the way to work and finally I decided to visit here for lunch with a friend. I had to try the Butter Chicken, which is my favorite Indian dish. It did not disappoint!! It was hot, fresh, seasoned and spiced perfectly. I opted for "medium spice level", which was okay, but next time I may try the next level to experience a bit more tingle. The garlic naan was also delicious, fresh and hot. Service was good and the waitress was very kind, pleasant and answered our questions about the dishes. I will absolutely visit here again and if you enjoy Indian food, I would recommend you check this place out!

We order the Tika masala, chicken curry, chicken kebab, naan bread. It taste very fresh and came out very quick thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Raj will definitely be back soon.

Varying levels of success in the dishes for my taste. I swapped out CTM for the butter chicken based on some of the reviews I saw on here. That was probably a mistake Coconut chicken I would give 4 stars. Solid flavor had a very minimal amount of heat ordered "spicy" I hadn't had a coconut curry before. Enjoyable dish for sure. Butter Chicken I would give 1.5 stars. Bluntly put it was a watery mess that had barely any flavor. Chicken Biryani. I guess 3 stars. Nothing super off putting, but in comparison to every other biryani I've eaten it had very little flavor. Both Naans were passable but nothing amazing. If a friend wanted to eat here I would go and order coconut chicken. Outside of that I don't think I would order/stop in again. They wanted me to use their website which I completely understand. (I want to help them keep money in house as well) They may want to look into pricing either on delivery apps or their own website. For 3 dishes and 2 naans. The price difference was almost 20 dollars more to use Annapurnas website versus a delivery service.

Super friendly staff with some of the best Nepalese food in Oakland! Love this neighborhood gem. We were celebrating a birthday and they even brought a complimentary dessert. This has been a quality spot since I found it 5 years ago!

This is definitely a hole in the wall place - doesn't look much from the outside, but the interior design, food, and customer service is chef's kiss. The interior design of this place is very unique and feels very homey. It's not your regular, modern design, but the warmth feeling definitely adds to the entire dining experience. In terms of the food, the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan are so good - very addicting, wished it was two times larger in portion size. The garlic naan was crispy and flavorful, pretty much my favorite dish there.

Hidden Gem in Downtown Oakland! Passing through late at night on my way to Napa, I stumbled upon this lovely spot downtown--and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the tandoori chicken with grilled veggies, a side of their infamous garlic naan, and a bowl of lentil soup that was amaaaaazzzing! The ambiance transported me straight back to my travels through the secret corners of Jaipur--warm, cultural decor that's beautifully understated and inviting. The service was prompt and genuinely kind, even though it was late. If you're anywhere near downtown Oakland, do yourself a favor and stop here. Great food, great vibe, and a true hidden treasure worth discovering again and again.

I ordered the butter chicken (which came with rice), goat curry (entrée only), spinach samosas, and two orders of garlic naan. Everything arrived well-packaged and still warm. The butter chicken was ordered medium spicy, but honestly it didn't taste spicy at all. That said, it was still very flavorful. The sauce was rich, creamy, and smooth with tender pieces of chicken throughout. Even without much heat, the flavor was on point and very satisfying over the rice. The goat curry was excellent. Deep, savory flavor with a nice thickness to the sauce. The only thing to note is that there are quite a few bones, which is typical for goat but something to be aware of if you're not used to it. If you don't mind working around bones, it's absolutely worth it. The garlic naan was really good, and they were generous with the portions. Soft, slightly chewy, and perfect for scooping up both curries. Two orders ended up being more than enough. The spinach samosas came as two large pieces. Even though it's only two, they're big and filling. Crispy outside with a flavorful spinach filling inside. Overall, I ordered all of this just for myself and ended up getting four full meals out of it. Great value for the price and everything tasted fresh and well-made. I would absolutely order from here again and look forward to trying more of their menu.

This time, we got the potato cheese balls and the chicken curry combo platter. The combo is priced at $23 and gives you plenty of food such as the curry, lentils, spinach, rice, papadum, salad, another tomato based sauce, and funds it out with rice pudding. This combo platter is easily enough to feed two people or to have plenty of extras to take home. We asked for medium spicy but I think their mild mean no spicy, their medium means a hint of spicy, and their hot means normal spicy. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Each table is decorated nicely with a small pot of wild flowers created right there before dinner service. The owners are a family combo and check in with you throughout. They always serve with a smile. We love the decor in here and the large amount of plants, especially the climbing pothos stemming from the fountain in the center of the restaurant. I would say this is a great place to have a date or celebration and I'd encourage others to come.
