I used to love this place, not anymore. Been a customer for 15-20 years. Came here for lunch, and I was looking at the lunch menu and I asked the cashier if I can have chicken masala only. I guess he gave me the dinner entree with rice, but clearly I wanted the lunch special bc I was looking at the lunch menu- not cool. The food wasnt great, the chicken in the masala is a little tough and the sauce was a little bland and sweet. I'm so annoyed, You think charging me a dinner entree for lunch is cool, guess this will be my last time coming here. Bye

I've been here so many times and somehow am only now writing a review! My partner and I came for dinner on a rainy day and were pleased to hear they open until 9pm on weekday nights. The vibe of the place has always been really home-y - order at the front, grab some hot chai and water, food is brought out and pay at the end. The owners are also super friendly and will give you a recommendation on their specials for the day. I've also been here with large groups (up to 20 people) and the owners accommodate with seating. We love their chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and veggie curries. For our meal tonight we grabbed the cheese and garlic naan along with the Sada Bindhi (okra and veggie) dish. All were good, lamb is always great. Good amount of spice in the lamb vindaloo too. There are comparable places in South Berkeley by the Cal campus, but I prefer this location on college for the vibes and quiet setting.

Pretty solid at the price point. They give hella quantity. The tiki masala lamb was decent and the biryani had some nice flavor (wish it was a bit more punchy). All in all decent :)

Delicious! Generous portions! I come back over and over again for the taste and portions! Orders: - Ghobi Ghosht: Lamb with Cauliflower curry. First time getting this! I really enjoyed this (mostly because I felt healthy because of the cauliflower) but sadly because of the container, the curry seemed to be less. - Cheese Naan: cheese inside the naan. So good and I get this every time! Must get! - Lamb Biryani: what you expect! Such generous portions. Ate this for many days and so flavorful. - Goat Biryani: same taste as lamb biryani just different type of meat. Equally good. Can't wait to find a chance to order from here again!

Always walked by but never stopped in. On a cold day it seemed to be calling. The chicken was very tender and the rice is good. And they have chai! Good enough for neighborhood food.

Lunch special combo #8 chicken and lamb tikka masala, oh soooo yummm

My go-to spot for Indian food. Never disappoints! Paneer Masala is great and we never have to wait long for our food. Definitely recommend

Their menu has a nice selection. The Dahl puri chaat immediately had me curious and for $8, I'm glad I gave this appetizer a try. They're crispy flour puffs filled with tamarind chutney, mini, yogurt, garbanzo beans and chickpeas, lightly fried. It's a guaranteed flavor bomb! Chicken Chilli MoMo $17 was a little too tangy than what I normally like. Despite the name, it's not that spicy to me. Their lunch plates have a nice variety of food and resembles a bit of a cafeteria tray. Butter chicken was $21.99 and lamb curry was $23.99 -- the portions of actual meat was a little sparse but the flavor was good and both meats were tender. Service was friendly and prompt. If you prefer to sit inside, it is beautifully decorated. Total bill was $93.10, including a mango lassi not pictured for $4.50 -- definitely tell they used fresh mangoes! Overall a delightful experience.

I always have to try the momos when trying a new Nepalese place. The momos didn't look close to the picture on the menu. My food looked like it was thrown into the container and shipped off, tumbled, upside down, and sideways. The dumpling wrap was almost on the soggy side. A little more time in the sealed box and they would have been soggy. Overall though, the dish was good with a bit of spice level. This is more of a 3.5 stars than a 4 stars.

They are open again!!…read more I visited Millennium the day of the re-opening in June 2026. I was so happy to find out that the food is still among the best food I've eaten, vegan or not. The new concept is prix fixe dinners on the heated, covered patio, and à la carte inside for walk-ins. I ordered from the à la carte menu and it was awesome. So easy. So delicious. My table ordered the cascatelli pasta, smoky glazed tempeh, coriander & arborio crusted oyster mushroom, and for dessert the summer sundae and chocolate tart. We were sharing so I got a taste of everything. Just amazing. It tastes just as good as before but feels much more approachable and affordable with the new concept. And you can still get the fine dining experience if you want it. I can't wait to go back on a Tuesday to try the pizza. I've heard it described as the best vegan pizza in the Bay Area by people who know what good pizza is, and I can't wait to try it. All food is vegan, and almost everything is gluten free.

You can only order the fixed menu on the patio, and the à La carte menu inside. But it doesn't say that anywhere. This is one of those places that takes a paragraph to describe a dish, but you still won't know what you're getting unless you're the chef because of the descriptions and names that they call things. We decided to stay inside and go à la carte. My family each got the veggie burger, and I went with the pasta. They seemed to like their burgers. I like my food to be a bit more straightforward, so I thought the pasta would be a safe bet. It came with a smear of pesto on the side of the dish which, although looks fancy, made the dish very impractical. Mixed in with the pasta was some arugula and cooked cherry tomatoes which they describe as a confit, but they're not. Just cooked tomatoes. The shape of the pasta was kind of difficult because it splits length wise and makes it impossible to stab with a fork, which you have to do in order to get some of the pesto on it. Over all, it was good, but I think I'd prefer a different shape of pasta and have the pesto on it instead of on the side. One thing that kind of bothered me was that my pasta came with no sides of any kind. And the portion was "fancy" so it wasn't generous. But it was the same price as the burger, which was piled so high that you literally can't fit it into your mouth, and they came with a generous side of veggies. So my family took half of their burger and all their sides home after only eating half each, and I finished my pasta and had room for more. For the same price. So I'd say the pasta is not a good value. Service wise, we had to ask for them to bring drinks that we ordered, even though they weren't busy. The ambiance was ok. Music not too loud, so we were able to talk to each other. I definitely wouldn't have chosen to come here but I guess people like places like this. I just like to know what's going on my food without needing an encyclopedia and a decoder ring.

For the market, you can also shop online for delivery/curbside delivery. Food-wise we tried the Vada Pao (fried potato patty in a bun), a Kids Cheese Dosa (served with coconut chutney and tomato chutney), a Mango Lassi, and their signature chicken wrap. The food was good, though it felt a touch pricey for what you get. Then again, it's Berkeley, so that's not exactly surprising. One thing I really like is the attached market. It's nice being able to grab chutneys, spices, or bags of garbanzo beans while you're there. The ample parking is also a huge plus, which isn't always easy to find in Berkeley. My biggest complaint is the lack of ice. No ice water, no iced chai, nothing. It's a small thing, but on a warm day it definitely stood out. Overall, good food, convenient parking, and a fun market attached make it worth a visit. Not an every week place for me, but a nice option when I'm in the mood.
