Chando's The best thing in the menu ( to me) is the quesadilla . The barrilla is not so good. Had an after taste I can't explain. The street tacos have too much gristle . Wife likes the chicken nachos . Dropped review because the rest is not so good here. Prices high like everywhere else. Here's the rub; Order at the counter , grab your own drink , pick up your own food , bus your own table....... Employees start at $20 an hour and when you do all the work..... they ask for a tip. For what? You take my order . Thanks! I work a hell of a lot harder at my job and tips are not in the conversation. I do not roll my eyes ( like you did) when there is no tip. You provide zero service! At $20+ per hour the smile should be an expectation . I paid $18.47 for lunch. 1 person . Not feeling so good about coming here anymore. No service , only a few picks that are good. High prices and attitude. Going to explore other options .

    $5 fries

First time at this location, and only my second or third time ever at Chando's. So, I let the lady behind me order while I contemplated the menu (I can be very indecisive sometimes). Finally, I decided to order the $5 carne asada fries, which are crispy fries topped with nacho cheese, cilantro, onion, guacamole, sour cream, house made salsa, and pico de gallo. The fries were very heavily seasoned, but good. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought they had used frozen bags of Arby's fries, because they actually tasted a lot like that. Between the nacho cheese, the salsa, and the pico de gallo, the nachos had a little kick, which was perfect. I really enjoyed these, and also appreciated that they offer a small size of super nachos. The guacamole was great, and the red and green salsas that I tried on the side were also delicious. All of the staff were really nice, and everything looked clean, although, the ambiance was a little lackluster, and the decor could use some refreshing, in my opinion. Overall, Chando's is pretty good. I would eat here again if I'm in the area-- hopefully on a Tuesday, since that's when they have $2 tacos and beers.

Chando's Tacos is good. The service was fast . I ordered 3 tacos one fish, one chicken and one beef. The tilapia fish was my favourite it came with a sloth and a house sauce. I really enjoyed the free chips. Tacos on Tuesdays are 2.50

We had the mullitas (asada, birria & shrimp). So good with crispy cheese edge. Definitely ordered too much food. Didn't really care for the NorCal burrito tho.

Mulita? It's not even fully cooked!

If you genuinely like undercooked tortilla.. come here. We ordered 2 Mulitas de lengua and 3 tacos de lengua. We originally wanted to order buche and cabeza but was told they no longer sell it due to it not being poplular enough. The Mulitas were undercooked! Like let's be real here.. how can you undercook tortilla?! The tortilla was raw, wet and falling apart. Hardly any cheese and the lengua had no flavor at all. We were the only ones at the restaurant. There's no excuse. The tacos were just flavorless, soggy and again tortilla was undercooked! Like girl.. what are you doing back there on that stove?? There are so many other places to eat good fully COOKED Mexican food. Yes, even in Roseville. This just isn't it.

Well, this is the burrito bowl. No rice, beans, very little protein. Damn covid.

Chandos at this location has been my daughter's favorite place to eat for years. We went today and found a few things have changed. First the prices have gone up significantly. For three people, which included 3 tacos, 2 burrito bowls and two drinks came to $40. Next, I have to congratulate the two employees that showed up. There were only 2 and I know this is horrible timing due to covid. They were doing their best to take orders and make food. Nearly an impossible task. I would probably not give three stars under different circumstances but I have to say I am grateful they are even trying to stay open. They did a large and much needed expansion prior and during covid that has not been used properly due to the pandemic. I hope they survive and can bring back the value proposition they had.

I've tried so many Mexican places and by far I think this is the best in Roseville right now. It's a 4 star for the area. We usually come on Tuesdays where they have $2.50 tacos for some of the tacos. Nothing fancy protein, onions, cilantro and radish. Of course the double tortilla. You can add salsa which is located in the salsa bar. They also have limes and more radish if you're into that. They used to charge tortilla chips but it's free now. You go up order your food, find a seat and they call your name. They also have various types of drinks.

Mexican "Street Tacos" are offered every Tuesday, for "Taco Tuesday" and are enjoyed at a special price of only $2.50 each!

Taco Tuesday happens every Tuesday at Chando's, where you'll enjoy delicious Tijuana-style "Street Tacos" for $2.50 each, and your favorite Mexican beer on tap for only $2.50 a glass. Cheers! As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the order counter at the rear and the open kitchen to the left. Since the restaurant had just opened, the staff hadn't had time to stock the small salsa bar to the extreme right of the photo. At 10 o'clock this Tuesday morning, there was already a line at the counter. Taco Tuesday is a popular day! You choose your selection from the menu posted on the wall behind the order counter, pay for your order, and in return, you'll receive a receipt with your name on it. The order will be handed to the kitchen, and when your order is ready, one of the kitchen staff will call your name, and to pick up your window at the pick-up window, at the kitchen. Beer and soft drinks are given to you immediately, so you can enjoy them as you wait for the talented kitchen staff to prepare your order. All entrees are cooked as ordered, and not prepared in advance. Naturally, chips and salsa are made as-needed, but are fresh and delicious. The menu at Chando's begins with "Signature Meats" which are the meat fillings offered for tacos, tortas, tostadas and practically everything on the menu. Note the "Birria Tacos... mmmm... The restaurant's motto is posted on the menu as "Simply Delicious" and that's a true statement! The menu is posted on a video monitor on the wall behind the order counter and on the restaurant's website, as Chando's promotes online ordering and pickup, as many diners seem to prefer to dine to-go. There are also printed menus for you to enjoy. Mexican "Street Tacos" are offered every Tuesday, for "Taco Tuesday" and are enjoyed at a special price of only $2.50 each! These delicious tacos are nearly identical to the countless "Street Tacos" I've enjoyed during my many visits to Tijuana, and other Mexican cities and towns. These delicious tacos aren't listed on the main menu, as they're only served on Tuesday and are listed on a separate menu, located at the order counter. "Street Tacos" start with corn tortillas, about the size of a DVD and are simply a snack, so it takes two or three of them to make a lunch. That's the way it is in Mexico and that's the way it is at Chando's Tacos. Chando's Tacos doesn't skimp on the tortillas, as corn tortillas are the foundation of the tacos, and each taco had TWO soft, pliable, slightly toasted corn tortillas that held together, and kept all of goodies in place. Each tacos was garnished with chopped cilantro, diced white onion, a slice of radish, a slice of lime, and a generous scoop on some of the best guacamole in town! Meat choices for "Street Tacos" include carnitas, chicken, carne asada and, surprisingly, adobada. Today, I ordered all three of my tacos with "Carnitas." Oh yeah! The "Carnitas" served at Chando's comes from a family recipe - according to their web site - and pieces of pulled pork, slowly simmered in lard until tender. The pork was simply delicious, and was very similar to "pulled pork," like you'll find in the southern states, but with a definite Mexican twist: Lard and seasoning. The "Carnitas" were delicious, juicy, flavorful, and melt-in-your mouth tender. These tacos were simply amazing! All ingredients were perfectly cooked, flavorful, delicious, and not at all spicy... dimply delicious! The two soft corn tortillas held the taco together perfectly and gave each taco a rustic, "earthy" taste. The major difference I noticed between "street tacos" in Tijuana and at Chando's was the guacamole, as during my trips to northern Mexico, including Tijuana, Mexicali and Nogales, the guacamole is runny, as it's mixed with crema. However, thick guacamole is served, but it's not as common on the street as the runny variety. The tacos are amazingly delicious, and TOTALLY authentic, Tijuana "street tacos." For $10.00 and a little bit of change - to cover state sales tax - how can you pass by three amazing tacos and a draft, Mexican beer? Friends... we're talkin' FIVE STAR DINING! Cheers to "Taco Tuesday!" ... where Tijuana meets Roseville, at Chando's Tacos, located in Roseville, CA.

30 minute wait for 6 tacos... if you don't order ahead don't bother coming here. Waste of time and the tacos were mid.
