My friends and I have been loyal customers for years, and through referrals from Ryan Avila, our group collectively accounts for approximately $150,000+ in wine purchases in the industry, today, I brought a friend who purchases 50k a year and his first intro will make the last into. Ryan's exceptional service and passion for the winery have been a key reason for our continued support and the referrals we've made. However, during our most recent visit, we were deeply disappointed by the service we received in Ryan's absence. We understand there may have been some internal challenges, but the experience without him was far below the standard we've come to expect at O'Brien. It's important to us that our loyalty is reciprocated with the quality of service we've grown accustomed to.  Given the pivotal role Ryan has played in our relationship with the winery, we are concerned that without him, we won't be able to continue our patronage in the same way. It's unfortunate to feel that we may need to reconsider our purchases going forward due to the current situation. Thank you for taking the time to hear our feedback. The winery itself is built into Mount George and descends roughly 20 stories into the mountain, which is just wild when you see it firsthand. It feels part Bond villain lair, part innovation lab, and entirely unforgettable. Blake guided the experience flawlessly. Deep knowledge, great energy, and the ability to translate complex concepts into something engaging without ever losing the sophistication. You can tell he knows his craft and genuinely enjoys sharing it. The on-premise chef was exceptional. The bites were not an afterthought. They were thoughtfully executed and elevated the wines even further. This was a true pairing experience, not just a tasting. I also loved the story behind the owners and what they have built here. It adds another layer of appreciation to an already standout visit. On a lighter note, I have it on good authority (not from Blake!) there may be karaoke here from time to time. If that is true, I am absolutely ready for my invite. "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" might be ambitious, but I will gladly step up for a strong "Bésame Mucho." One of the goals of this trip was to identify a standout winery with Latino roots to recommend to a VC investing group. This is unequivocally the spot.
