    Mr. Palmaz with the stent

Our VIP experience with Jordan was nothing short of incredible. He greeted us at the door and we started on the top floor and had a breathtaking view with our first tasting. He shared with us so many memorable stories and history about the family and how they've progressed over the years. The tour itself was amazing as we went through different floors; cleanliness, organization and operations were so cool to see and walk through. The technology they had was unmatched and so impressive. Lastly we were brought to a beautiful room with our food and wine pairing. Each bite perfectly paired with their selections of wine. Every bite was delicious and I wish I could eat more of their A5 Wagyu beef! This was definitely worth the trip and I would highly recommend it! Without Jordan it wouldn't have been the same because he was a great storyteller and so hospitable.

WOW. I wish I could correctly articulate how fantastic Palmaz was. You are warmly welcomed as soon as you arrive and there is a spacious waiting area. If you are a technology geek and wine lover, this will be heaven for you. I understand the expensive price tag, but what is $150/pp feels like $500 with beautiful and tasty accoutrements. This was winery 4/4 for us on our trip. Cannot recommend Jordan enough. He knows his stuff, doesn't come off as "too cool for school" and knew the answer to every question. He would absolutely be invited to a family dinner. Thank you so much, Jordan! PS There was no pressure to buy bottles or join a membership, which made purchasing more enticing.

There may be too many wonderful wineries in the Napa Valley to enjoy in a single lifetime. Thankfully, the wife and I received an amazingly sage recommendation to do a tour and tasting at Palmaz Vineyards. It easily became our favorite experience during the wife's and my all-too-brief time in Napa. Where do I start? We reserved the Private Tour and Portfolio Tasting ($150/person) and were expertly guided on our visit by Teresa who welcomed us like family and provided wonderful insight and hospitality throughout. I loved the intriguing origin story of Palmaz Vineyards founded by the inventor of the balloon stent and operated by the entire family. I loved the breathtakingly beautiful views of the valley from the property. I loved the high-tech winery operation using gravity-flow winemaking processes in its 18-story cave complex built into the side of Mt. George. The cave complex reminded me more than a little of a Bond villain, secret, underground, missile base with its sheer size and prevalent use of technology. Finally, I loved Palmaz's beautiful wines. Our tour culminated in a killer tasting of some of their current releases of reds and whites thoughtfully paired with delicious bites some of which were made with domestic grass-fed Wagyu beef from the Palmaz Family's cattle ranch. Palmaz Vineyards offered a very unique, if not singular, overall experience. Impressive is the word that best describes it. As it was done for us, I'll pay it forward by giving Palmaz Vineyards my strongest recommendation as a must visit for anyone passionate about food and wine.

A truly jaw-dropping experience. If you love wine and technology, this tour is a must. The innovative methods behind their exquisite wines make it all the more impressive. We kicked things off with a cave tour and the best Riesling ever, followed by a private, informative, and absolutely delicious tasting. Add this to your Napa must-visit list!

Beautiful winery built into the size of a mountain. The views of the vineyards are incredible as this family run winery is. With the tour you learn about how the Palmaz family went from the development of a heart stent to owning a winery and producing wines using both science and art. Learn how this winery tries to use gravity as much as possible through the winemaking process and how they ferment the wines tracking data on each batch and how they age them in different barrels stored with in the mountain. Splurge for a tasting pared with bit sized seasonally influenced snacks that really accentuate the beauty of the wine. These wines can definitely been cellared for some time to really let them blossom. We're huge fans of Jordan who has been with the winery for sometime and has a wealth of knowledge about the winery, vineyards, wine and Napa/Sonoma.

Palmaz is truly a must-visit winery. Teresa was friendly, warm, engaging and made our tour both fun and memorable. We were fascinated by the Palmaz family's story--from their innovations in winemaking to their connection with the heart stent and even their Wagyu beef. Teresa kept the tasting lively and effortless, making the time fly by.

amazing wine tour and tasting by Jordan. our fave is the 2019 cabernet savignon. the whole experience and technological yet organic wine process the winery engages in is remarkable. loved the food pairing.

Wow! Our visit to Palmaz was unbelievable. Great wines, great tasting, great service. Trey was our guide and he made sure we were very well taken care of! His insights, hospitality and recommendations really helped shape our experience in Napa in the best way. The tour was great, informative but not stuffy. The grounds were beautiful and I can't even begin to speak on how impressive the novel, data driven approach to winemaking is.

Driving up to the winery through the vineyards is part of the experience in itself. The views are breathtaking as you drive through the property to reach the winery. Throughout the tour you learn so much about the family, and you can really see their love for wine and great care for the winemaking process. This family and winery is spearheading a lot of innovation in the industry and it's incredible to see. The tour and tasting was very intimate - we were completely alone walking throughout the whole winery and the tasting was conducted with solely our host in a private tasting room. You are with your host for the entirety of the tour and tasting, so you are able to learn a lot from them. The tasting was phenomenal. The bites paired with the wine really pair nicely and you really take away a new understanding and appreciation for pairings. It was amazing to see how different each wine tasted aside different bites. We even got to enjoy a bite of the family's American Wagyu as a component of the tasting.

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. I booked this experience to celebrate my husband's birthday, and one of the reasons I chose it was because the website advertises that guests can "relax in a private cabana at the Overlook." Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We were seated at a regular table without a view of the Overlook. When I asked if we could move to one of the cabanas, I was told they were reserved for parties larger than 2. However, there was a couple (party of 2) seated in one of the cabanas, so that explanation was inaccurate and left me feeling embarrassed for even asking. Had I known we would not be seated in a cabana as advertised, I would have booked a different experience. The scenery and photo opportunities were a big part of why I chose this package, and because of where we were seated, we weren't able to enjoy that aspect at all. This experience was not cheap, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that what is advertised is what guests actually receive. When people are paying for a specific experience, it's important that the website accurately reflects what is included or clearly states if certain features, such as cabana seating, are not guaranteed. As for the horseback riding tour, I was near the back of the line and could barely hear what the guide was saying. As a result, we missed most of the information shared throughout the ride. It would be helpful if the tour guides periodically stopped to speak to the group or used a system that allows everyone to hear, regardless of where they are in the line, especially when some people may be hard of hearing. This is something that really needs improvement, as the educational aspect of the tour is part of the experience guests are paying for. I would also recommend updating the website so it accurately sets expectations for future guests. I also hope staff provide honest and transparent explanations rather than giving information that is inconsistent with what guests can clearly see.
