Just to preface... I did NOT receive services from this business…read more I reached out via the yelp quote thingy. I was told to call the shop to set up an appointment for an estimate. Well, I did. I told the woman that answered the phone that I was told to call about scheduling an appointment for that estimate but I live in Hagerstown and didn't really want to drive two hours round trip just for an estimate; I inquired if I could possibly send pictures and such, and she said quickly and firmly that they didn't work with any type of pictures. There was no double checking or anything like it was HER place of business and she was the owner. Ok. That's cool if that's your prerogative. So I responded to the person I was communicating with via yelp and let him know that drive wasn't on the bingo card. He told me to send pictures and such. However, front desk Karen had already left a nasty taste in my mouth and the whip lash I received from the two different communications should get me an insurance check. I gave them the second star because the internet person made an attempt at customer service.

The front head light they tried to buff out the scratches and reuse it. They fixed my fender that looks good. They scratched my new running boards putting the Front fender on. They buffed the front fender and when they did they left buff marks in the passengers side door. Their is a scratch on the hood now. Where they put the new front bumper on you can tell where they painted with tape marks when they pulled the tape off. They need to take their impact tool away I can show you where they took bolts off and scratched the paint under the hood. They contacted me this morning because they did not like my review I left on other site. I sent pics to them of my complaints to them this morning they have not even had the since to email me back Trust me on this one do not take your car or truck their I would not even let them fix my red wagon of mine. its one thing to ripe off insurance company's But just remember Karma will bite back

This results in the customer getting charged for the difference between their repair bill and what insurance covers. The problem with this is that MCC does not tell you or your insurance about this UNTIL your vehicle is finished and ready for pickup. "Hi, your car is ready, but you have to pay $125 out of pocket. This comes as a nasty surprise. It feels like extortion. For my vehicle, MCC had every opportunity to communicate this strange behavior. And it is strange. 12 other collision center in the region do not operate this way with insurance. MCC could have mentioned this payrate differential to my insurance when the claims adjuster sent over his paperwork. MCC could have told me about it any of the several times I called over 3 weeks to ask about my car. I know they have my email and number, they used them to reach me about other details. If you are expecting your insurance to pay to have your car repaired, go somewhere else. MCC is playing unpleasant games. There will be an unpleasant Gotcha moment at the end, where you are trapped. Are you going to fight the good fight? Do you want to also pay storage fees while your car sits longer on the MCC lot? Whether it's extortion or arrogance or a heinous lack of communication, my trust in the Malloy name is ruined, and now I doubt I could even buy my next car from them.
