We hired Chapman Landscaping to landscape the back and side yards of our West Sacramento home. While the initiall interactions were timely, the overall job quality was completely shoddy. The crew came during evenings and nights and worked with flash lights. It was just a side job for them. The original designs for planters and fire pit were not followed and our multiple requests were ignored. We now have an uncontrollable weed problem as they just threw the weed cover on top of the untreated soil and not properly secure the cover. We now essentially have to redo much of the work and incur significant expense again. It was a considerable amount we paid for the initial landscaping project. We couldn't be on site to constantly monitor the work due to some health issues. We are completely disappointed with their work and will not recommend them for any landscaping projects. read more

Highly recommend Chapman construction! We needed a 4' tall wood fence for our front yard, and they did an amazing job! It's beautiful. They provided a quote and started working on the project within 1-2 weeks. I think this was super quick, given summertime demand for new construction. I really appreciated that they took time to explain detailed options to me when there were different ways to accommodate the slope in my front yard. The quality of work was great, I think it was a good value for the cost that was a bit less than the other two quotes we got for the project. Updating from 3 stars to 1 star. The grass when mowed has three different heights due to how poorly the sod was put down on on even ground. I had two landscapers quote the replacement at $4000 and they asked if we had done the job ourselves. read more

The double gate of our fence blew off in the recent storm. I contacted several companies to get it replaced and rebuilt and Glenn was the most responsive and fastest to get out to do the work. He was nice and very communicative during the steps and showed up when he said he would. The new fence and gate look great and I am 100% satisfied. They stayed in communication before pouring my patio. Only issue was covering my backyard drain without talking to me first. Also cleanup was lackluster. I WAS IN DEEP TROUBLE. I had a broken sprinkler system that was flooding my yard. This caused mud, and my dogs caused a muddy chaos. My house looked like Woodstock, with every dog path covered in mud. My wife cycled from annoyed, to livid, to ballistic. Meanwhile I am contacting everyone I can, offering to pay them American cash to fix it. Many didn't reply, some wanted a warlord payoff, and others were too busy to even take the job. We found Glenn on Yelp and gave him a call. He responded within a day and was out the next. We didn't know exactly what we wanted to do, so he gave us some ideas and our vision was in motion. He came the next day to begin the work and he and his crew were here for two solid days and completed the landscaping. They removed old grass, laid new sod, built a fire pit area and delivered lava rocks for the perimeter of the yard.
