Our friends came to Char couple weeks ago and recommended it, so the fam decided to go on our 10th yr anniversary; every Wednesdays there's a special on prime ribs. 40-50 min drive to Char and it's worth it, great food and service. Parking is very limited , Parking on the grass is necessary, make reservations In advance, depending on the day , time & occasion , there could be a wait. The scenery is dark , low lighting in an oak wood coloration background. Mikey was our waiter with good hospitality . I had to order an item from each category ; since I live to eat . I'm a satisfied customer and will be back. The octopus & fried calamari were delicious, my very rare prime was juicy and soft, freshly smashed Potatoes and salad on the side , the creamy spinach goes well with the steak, to top the meal off is the lava cake & almond cake with the rich cream coffee.

HAVE to give this establishment a whopping 5 stars, which is a rare occurrence. From the second our party of six walked in to the finalization of six separate checks, there was nothing to comment negatively on. The waiter was very attentive visiting the table quite often including taking back an appetizer that my friend wanted to opt for something else! No lifting of an eyebrow or hesitations were made. I highly recommend the Prix Fix meal for $29.95 from app to dessert/coffee/tea. Can't go wrong! There were many choices of each category which to choose from! Something for everyone! Parking IS plentiful if you arrive on the early side before 5pm *** there's also a seasonal outdoor patio that many are excited to soon be using. Come check out what I'm raving about! ;)

Four of us had a great meal last night , our knowledgeable and super pleasant waitress name Nikki, answered all our questions and plus... Drinks were excellent. My compliments to the bartender. Bread and water was brought to our table promptly. Now for the meal. Started with, a yummy onion soup, a fresh salad and delicious Oyster Rockefeller share by two of us. Now for the piece of resistance! NY strip steak with Au poivre sauce; comes with 3 other choices of sauces, and two vegetables choice. It was cooked to perfection medium rare, on the rare side. The Veal chop special of the night, was pretty much devoured by two of my dinner companions. The Bone in Rib eye disapeared quite quickly too, I was told it was by far one of the best! Service is impeccable, the place is pretty, my only complaint " it's a bit noise" the acoustic could be better. But let's face it, we came to have a excellent meal and we did!! No room for dessert.

I'm not trying to brag or anything- but rather drive home the point that we had the tastiest and a most slamming dinner here after a gruesome, rainy Sunday night drive from Boston. Hubs was salivating for meat- so the thought of a sizzling steak was already in the works. Our last experience was partly dull in taste and quality about a year+ ago. But boy....I want to shed light on the matter and mention dinner this time, was outstanding because Steak is serious business here focusing on several cuts, the same way Seafood is. Hubs' NY Strip was cooked to Medium-rare temp this time as he requested it and my Saffron Scallops+Mashed+ Garlicky Spinach entree was cosmic. Low lighting and a cozy vibe is what you get plus service and friendliness, continues to thrive here.

We made a reservation on a Friday night, we were sat immediately, and the place was busy already. We got 3 different appetizers. The bacon strip was a bit too chewy for our liking, but calamari and the lamb pops were both so delicious. I ordered a chartini, which is a dirty martini with 5 bacon wrapped cheese stuffed olives. This alone felt like an appetizer- and worth it! We loved the atmosphere however it got pretty loud as the night went on. The steak wasn't bad, however the fries on the side weren't great- I would have replaced the side with the steak. I had the Ravioli special with Shrimp- it was a nice portion & filling. This was a nice restaurant to visit- dining experience & food was a great experience!

The good: big portions, no reservations needed even on a Friday night The bad: flavorless steak, slightly tough, flavorless sauce. But there wasn't much else here to eat so...

It was OK. I was expecting a wheel charcoal boiled steak running juicy. I ended up getting something a little dry.

The food was pretty good, although what I was looking forward to the most ended up being the biggest disappointment. I was really in the mood for tacos so I decided to give this place a try. It really is surprising to me how so many restaurants in the area that claim to offer "authentic Mexican" seem to care so little about the quality of their tacos. My chicken tacos were simply plain grilled chicken on tortillas with a couple pieces of radish and 2 lime wedges on the side. No cilantro, no onion, no cojita, and the tortillas weren't slightly grilled the way most people like. My expectations were severely dashed as soon as I saw what they looked like. I know how much Mexicans take pride in their tacos, and I believe Mexicans are some of the most culinarily gifted people walking this earth. So my question is why do so many Mexican spots, especially this new one, put forth such half-assed effort into their tacos. I hope the decision makers of this place read this and take my advice, sell better tacos. It's a nice atmosphere, decorated well, with a nice bar that has as big a selection of tequila as I've seen around here. I want this place to succeed and I will give them another shot in the near future.

After eating there, I can confidently say Doug, your pub makes pretty good food. Our party of four was seated at a high-top, and the feasting began. They've got a great beer selection and took care of us right away. Food-wise, we started with the chicken wings, which were huge and packed with flavor. For me, the main event was the original patty melt. You know when something tastes homemade, but in the absolute best way possible? That was this burger. It was hot, juicy, and dripping with flavor, with perfectly caramelized onions and melted cheese. What really made it work was the bread, it still had a crunch instead of turning soggy. Every dip into the Thousand Island just made it better. The onion rings were a perfect sidekick. Around the table, my brother-in-law went with the Nutty Hog and enjoyed it, my sister liked her quesadilla, and my wife was happy with her chicken. No complaints anywhere. You know how I feel about local spots, and this place was full of charm and character. The drinks were cold, the food was solid, and I'll absolutely be back. 5/5 stars

I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Most likely of them litter the earth like wrappers from spent candy bars, a constant reminder of good times gone by. And then you get The Blazer. It is one of those places that shouldn't be there but it is and we are all the better for it. A low ceiling, low lights, jubilant conversation in the background all make for a snug setting. The bar is a seen out of Cheers with the conversation between business man and blue collar foreman flowing as quickly and easily as the beer from the tap. The drinks are cold and served quickly with a smile but it's the food that takes the crown. The menu is small but everything is cooked and presented perfectly. In all the years God has blessed me with life I have never had a better chicken wing. The Blazer traditional wing is served dry with limited spice but full flavored and from a temperature standpoint hotter than the devil's pitchfork. They were perfectly cooked, completely rendered, flavorful gifts of gastronomic joy. The burgers, cooked in a broiler style format, were fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious and of ample portion. The chicken fingers, which were each one a meal, served red hot, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender within. The chili cheese dog was everything it should be and the French fries, which are a traditional steak fry cut, were incredibly crunchy on the outside and soft and tender within. Every bar and pub owner and chef should come here. This is the superlative example of a simple menu, cooked perfectly and served quickly with a smile. It is obvious that the setting, service and menu gets them to come back again and again across generations from miles and miles around.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.
