This is my first time coming back here in a long time and they remodelled the whole interior but unfortunately the Food has not improved. Our wings did not taste good not very well cooked at all did not taste good and the coconut shrimp was bland and the dipping sauce was extremely sour The quality of the food needs to step up to match the remodelling effort. read more

Ive been hearing great things about this local spot for years..and enjoyed all its surrounding eateries..so why have I avoided this place? Well im not a sports fan and it just didn't look like my kinda place...All that said, after continuing to hear great things, we finally popped in and im SO GLAD I did. The inside is exactly as I expected, a Spacious classic sports bar / Pub with a beautiful pool table, dart boards, flat screens and a large centered bar...the bartender Lori is so sweet!! We definitely can tell this place has a lot of regulars..but we felt very welcome sitting at the bar. Now..what we came for..the Food!! It was absolutely Delicious!!! yummy Shepherd's Pie paired with a cold Guinness!! and The Potato skins and tater tots were fantastic. Definitely gonna go back soon to try more things as their menu is vast and everything sounds so good. I definitely see a burger in my furniture. As the owner saw us and realized we are "first timers", she came over to introduce herself and welcomed us..She is so kind and friendly..and told us all about their events and promotions..(ei: live music, trivia, DJs..) now its making sense why this unassuming sports bar Bar is so special and so beloved by the locals. As I alluded to, dont judge a book by its cover..this place is a Gem hidding right in plain sight..Stop in for a nice drink and yummy food while surrounded by warm and friendly people. Hubby and I have been on a beer, wings and burger kick- Fridays we try somewhere new each week. Got here and took a few minutes to be acknowledged. Service was slow but the wing and burgers were yummy! Beer was cold and there was live music which was awesome! This place is a step above a dive bar- that's how we like it. Perfectly delicious! Ordered takeout last night for dinner- first time ordering takeout from this establishment. I ordered the Chicken Philly Cheese sub, and my husband ordered the NY Burger; both came with a side (we chose curly fries). The burger was cooked to perfection based on our temperature request and it was surely fresh and delicious! Same for the Chicken Philly. Only regret is not ordering from Mahopac Inn before! Not a place I would go for food ever again. We ha r been many times but this Past time was our last. We went for lunch on a Thursday and were not impressed. Bartender/server was unpleasant and seemed annoyed to come out from behind the bar to serve us she seemed happier talking to her friends at the bar. Place could have been cleaned salt and pepper shakers were sticky and silverware was not Polished. Half empty glasses and bottles on table next to us that must have been left from night before. In the summer they leave the doors open and the place is infested with flies I'm sure the kitchen is the same as the front. Unsanitary. read more

Abysmal service, uncomfortable seats, really sketchy bar crowd. No evidence of any sort of management, couldn't tell the employees from the clientele. "Dive" is being generous. This is a fun bar to hang out in, drink beer, watch sports, play trivia and eat good bar food. the fried pickles are AWESOME!
