Initially their food was good, especially the salads and sides, but since mid February the quality of the main dishes had noticeably diminished. To be specific chicken was very overcooked, tough, and rubbery and the fish dried out. We complained and never heard back. We finally canceled the service after receiving a meatball and spaghetti dinner that was just not edible. Has we been is a restaurant it would be sent back to the kitchen. The meatballs were impossible to cut with a steak knife and too hard to chew. Spoke to owner about the earlier problem and though he was apologetic, and wanted to make it right, he never did. This is a shame that the person issuing the gift certificate did not contact the charity to let them know they were closing. This is bad for the charity and very disappointing. I got on Yelp, located their ad and went to the website. I had a few questions which I utilized Yelp's messaging feature to contact them. Not 5 minutes from submitting my questions did I receive a response. Not even 5 minutes! I asked a couple more questions and again received responses immediately. I then went to the website and submitted my order. About 15 minutes later I received a call from Miss LeMia. She had sent me an invoice via email and I had not answered so she followed up. We realized there was a small issue with my server so we came up with a solution so I could pay her and she complete my order. She was already at the restaurant waiting patiently. Wow! I was very impressed. At no time did I feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing her. We got it all figured out and I was able to pay for the order. A few minutes later she called again. She was in the line and they were out of an item we requested. Again, wow! Very attentive, and quick to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. She delivered the food quickly and it was hot and fresh. Neighborhood Runners is an amazing, reliable, friendly service that doesn't limit you as to where you eat or what grocery store you want to shop from. Nor because of where you live are you unable to utilize their services. I highly recommend Neighborhood Runners for any grocery shopping or dining choices. Even though there's a delivery period of 5.5 hours listed when you order, yes...the old notice that someone was actually on their way was appreciated. -There used to be more vegetables. In one of the meals this week, there were only 6 pieces of vegetables (in the large portion). A week or two ago I complained the potatoes were burned. The company responded to my complaint. This week, there were potatoes in the green chili chicken that weren't cooked thoroughly. I didn't complain this week, because I complained the last time I ordered. But if you can't cook the potatoes without overcooking them or undercooking them, maybe you shouldn't offer them as an option. This week, I sent a message asking what the macros for the steak meal were, but I never received a response. I also included a picture of container not having a label. Their website says "Each meal varies in the number of carbs/protein/macros but are guaranteed to be healthy options. Each meal prep has labels to provided detailed description of the serving size." Aside from the errors in those sentences lol...this is the second time I've had to email the company to get the macros for the labels that weren't on the container...but this time, no one responded. I use this meal service because I used to enjoy the food, the macro labels and to make my life easier. But it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore.

My order was a gift and for a specific event, so when it never got delivered, I had to find another option and was left with no choice but to reverse the charges with my bank. Once I spoke to the owner he offered to replace the meals at no cost to me, but by then it was too late. Glad the company is not fraudulent.

They have a store with merch and can foods, a big space for kids to play and they even have toys and corn hole boards. I saw they sell pizza freshly made in a brick over and it looked delicious but I didn't see the menu or prices. Also I didn't see the eggs for sale maybe it's because they were sold out. Also I didn't know who is an employee here there was no one at the coffee stand, not the gift shop. Only employee I saw was the cashier but he was very quiet plus was busy with other customers. But nice place to visit and walk around.
