Super delicious, egg cream was slightly sweet, which I love, and the banh mi was soft but still crispy. Second time around, my husband got the strawberry matcha and I got the blueberry matcha. Both excellent. Not overly sweet, but you get a good balance of flavors. Definitely will be back!

The service however, has been a miss all three times we've been in. The location is large so maybe they just need to add to their team and do a little additional customer care training with everyone. We came in Saturday afternoon to a small lobby area where a gal was already waiting to be sat and when the third group walked in that lobby got even smaller. We waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess who came off cold and unbothered in leaving customers waiting as the other team members took notice of the filling lobby with no one checking in to let us know we'd be assisted soon. The hostess proceeded to tell us she'd be seating us outside, no offer of sitting inside at all and not once did she acknowledge her absence or offer any sort of greeting, not even a smile. When you're the first person the customer interacts with at business I feel it good practice to create a welcoming atmosphere that represents the space you're entering. Especially a place like this that is known for a fun, lively atmosphere. We were sat outside and our waitress was very sweet and got us taken care of with water, food, and drinks pretty quickly. It was a lot cooler than expected on the patio which was awesome, as I was worried about sitting outside when it was 104. Great job with that Mexicano! But once we got our food our waitress stopped by to check in once and we didn't really see her until the end of our meal after that. No refills on water or check-in to see if we wanted additional drinks (which I feel like happened the last time we were in as well). There's a gentleman with a tiger tattoo on the back of his neck who stops in at some people's tables to check in and have chat, he's never stopped in with us.. it all just seems like the customer isn't a priority at this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are great but for the prices, I want to feel more valued. I want to have that fun experience of going out for drinks in a vibrant high-end cantina where you feel connected with the staff. On our most recent visit, I wasn't feeling anything too fancy, so I just got a mango smoothie. Their mango smoothie tastes exactly like this other place I used to love going to over ten years ago but have since closed, so it was a nice surprise to find a place that made it similarly. The person I went with ordered the pennyworth with young coconut. This drink was perfect for her because it wasn't sweet at all. Overall, service was friendly and patient. We went on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't that busy. The shop overall is on the smaller side; they have minimal tables for seating but quite a few chairs for you while waiting for your order. This is more of a grab and go place than a sit down and hang out with your friends place.
